La fig. 1 est une vue partielle, en éléva- tion, de la partie antérieure de la machine dont le bâti est coupé transversalement ;
La fig. 2 en est une vue de dessus ;
Automatic bar turning machine.
The invention relates to a machine
automatic bar turning, rocker type,
which is characterized in that it comprises
two rockers, each of which is ordered
by a cam and supports two chisels mounted on one side and the other of the axis of rotation of the workpiece, the axes of oscillation of the rockers being parallel to said axis of rotation, so that two chisels can attack simultaneously with the workpiece, either two chisels placed on the same side of the workpiece, or two chisels placed in opposition to the latter. The purpose of this arrangement is to increase the efficiency of the machine.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial elevation view of the front part of the machine, the frame of which is cut transversely;
Fig. 2 is a top view;
Fig. 3 shows a section along the line III-III of the, fig. 2.
On the frame 1 of the machine is fixed by bolts, a support 2, in which is
adjusts the gul barrel. da. ge 3 delivering passage
bar 4. On each side of the
support 2 is arranged a rocker 5 respec
tively 6, both mounted on a tou
rillon 7 fixed in the support 2.
The journal 7 being arranged parallel
to the axis of rotation. of bar 4, the plans
of oscillation of the rockers 5 and 6 are perpendicular to said axis of rotation. Each rocker is controlled pa. r a cam 8 respec- tively 9 wedged on the camshaft 10. The rockers are supported on the periphery of their respective cam, by a beak 12 respectively 13, under the action of a return spring (not shown ). On each rocker are mounted two chisels 14, 15, 16,17 respectively, each through the intermediary. iaire of a pivoting burin holder 18 and of a slide 19 of the chisel holder.
The members 18, 19 make it possible to adjust the position of the chisels longitudinally, transversely, and in height, using micrometric screws 20, 21 and stop screws 22.
The chisels of each rocker are mounted on one side and. on the other of the axis of rotation of the bar to be turned, so that two chisels can simultaneously attack the workpiece, either two chisels placed on the same side of the workpiece, or two chisels placed in opposition to each other to the latter.
Thus, either the chisels 14 and 16, or 15 and 17, or the opposing chisels 14 and 17, or 15 and 16. These chisels, instead of being arranged perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the workpiece, could be, all or in part, inclined on this axis. The assembly of the rockers could also differ from that shown in the drawing. They could be contiguous to one another, be coaxial or not and each mounted on an independent support.
