Method and device for the execution of weaver knots. <B> in kn </B> The present invention relates to a method and a device for the execution of web knots. The set-up is very simple, easy and economical, and allows the weaver's knot to be tied in a very short time (about 5 seconds) between two threads that are to be tied together.
Apparatuses already exist that want to achieve this purpose, but they are complicated and cumbersome, have moving parts and are therefore easily exposed to malfunctions and also reach prices so high that they cannot be widely used.
The device according to the invention consists of a knotting apparatus and a knife. The knotting apparatus has four thorns around which the ends of two threads to be knotted are looped, which are to be united to form a weaver's knot. The thorns are attached to a base in the form of a ring left open at one point, whereby it is unimportant what the ring rests or is attached to, just as unimportant are the associated auxiliary organs such as Faderikleiumfeder, feet and the like.
The knotting device can be attached to the hand on the chest of the worker or on the machine and can assume any shape, the only essential thing is the arrangement of thorns, which surround two thread ends in the right way, a perfect one Deliver weaver knots.
Absolutely # -Iibi-ig to. The device '<B> - </B> is a special les knife, which is built in such a way that the unequal ends of the knot caused by the knotting device can always be cut off in exactly the same length, an advantage in weaving and stocking manufacture that should not be underestimated . With the hand-made weaver's knots, it is impossible to use this knife and it had to be specially designed for the present establishment of which it forms an integral part (Fig. 4).
The device is particularly used where it is a matter of re-tying torn threads on doubling machines, twisting machines, knife control machines, gas singeing machines, reels, winding machines, warping machines, knitting looms and machines for stocking production.
The accompanying drawing shows two exemplary embodiments from the device, namely: Fig. 1 shows a knotting apparatus for fastening Be on a machine; Fig. 2 shows a knotting apparatus to be attached to the hand of the worker; Fig. 3 shows the knife belonging to the device in front and side views, and Fig. 4 shows the manner in which the knife must be handled.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the knotting apparatus consists of an open ring 1 which is attached to a pipe section 2 which is also open on the side of the opening of the ring 1. The Rohrötück is provided according to Fig. 1 with matching feet 3 for attachment to a machine, or according to Fig. 2 with belts 4-5 for fastening supply on the hand of the worker.
The interrupted ring 1 shows four thorns 6, 7, 8, 9. When knotting apparatus according to FIG. 1, which is intended to be mounted on a machine, a device 10 is provided, which eifasst the ends of a thread and holds, and which consists of a coil spring 11 with tight turns.
The knife belonging to the device consists of a handle 12 which ends in two parallel projections 13 which are of a measured strength and include a steel blade 14 of the "Gillet" type.
The process is as follows: The thread 16 comes out of the bobbin 16, is pressed into the spring 11 and clamped, then the free end of the thread that is wrapped around the mandrel 6 (inside from left to right) , from the outside around the thorns 7, 8, 9, 6 ge looped and ends again in the spring 11, which in the execution of the knotting apparatus according to Fig; 2 is replaced by your worker's thumb. The thread 17, on the other hand, which comes from the skirt 18, loops first between the thorns 7-8, then around the thorn 6, is then pulled under the two thread pieces 15 of the distance 6-11 and then over the two threads 15 and 17 in the distance 6-7 and finally in the distance 8-9 under the thread 15.
With the right hand one then pulls on the two ends of the thread 17 and with the left hand on the ends of the thread <B> 15 </B> and by pulling them out of the thorns, the weaver knot is formed 19 </B> in the most perfect way. The whole work process does not take more than <B> 5 </B> seconds. 4 It is clear from FIG. 4 how the free ends of the knot thus formed are cut. Pull on the ends of the threads <B> 15 </B> and <B> 17 </B> and leave the flat megser in the direction of the arrow on the knotted thread <B> 16-19-18 < / B> slide.
The two ends are always cut to the same length, which is determined by the strength of the projections that the Gillet razor blades include.
The knotting apparatus can be made of any aluminum material and dimensions without going beyond the scope of the present invention. However, it will preferably be made of metal in a single piece.
Its application is appropriate for the various jobs in the textile industry, the apparatus can be used to knot any thread (wool, cotton, silk, artificial silk). However, it is particularly advantageous for artificial silk, as the knot is very difficult to make by hand with very thin halyards.
