Description

Tangenten d-e, d' <I>e',</I> des Bohrungskreises liegen.

Fig. 2 und :3 stellen einen einfachen of fenen Schaumerzeuger dar.

Process for producing fine-bubble foam, in particular for fire-fighting and bathing purposes. The invention relates to a method for producing fine-bubble foam, in particular special for fire-fighting and bathing purposes, with a. fine distribution of gaseous bodies through the natural vascular bundles of wood-like bodies into which the liquid mixed with a foaming agent is blown, characterized in that

that to blow the gaseous body into the liquid, a battery of porous wooden blocks lined up through perforated tubes, sealed against each other by sealing rings, cut transversely to the fiber direction, whose guide vessels expire in surfaces cut very much to the barrel direction.

Compressed air can advantageously be used as the gaseous body.

According to this process, relatively simple devices can be used to generate any large amounts of foam in a very short time, either in such a way that the foam is created in the open air or in a closed pressure vessel, from which it is then used as an intermediary between liquid and Gas can be supplied to the point of use through pressure lines. It should be noted here

-that the fine-bubble foam does not lose its foam nature through compression and re-expansion.

The toughness and durability of the foam as such can still be significantly enhanced: by adding slimy agents such as sugar and glue-like substances, even in very small quantities.

To carry out the method, a large number of fine pore-like nozzles are expediently used for blowing the gaseous part of the accumulation into the liquid. Suitable nozzles are provided by nature (through the natural bundles of vessels in thin wood.

Since the pores of wood panels cut at right angles to the fiber direction are all too close together, the wood bodies are cut according to the invention in such a way that the exit surface is inclined to the fiber direction.

Linden tree grown on stone has proven to be particularly suitable. In the open or pressure vessel closed vessel for receiving the foam-forming liquid, block-shaped wooden bodies are lined up on a perforated pipe with mutual sealing and the gaseous component is introduced into this pipe, which is located in the foam-forming liquid. This arrangement can advantageously be configured into a foam kettle for the production of foam on a large scale.

In the accompanying drawing, two embodiments of an apparatus for carrying out the method according to the present invention are shown, for example.

Fig. 1 explains the production of the fine-pored nozzles consisting of wooden bodies; Figures 2 and 3 relate to the first embodiment; Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section through the second embodiment; FIG. 5 is a larger-scale cross-section through an individual part of FIG. 4, and FIG. 6 is an end view of a component of FIG.

Fig. 1 .the drawing may initially to explain the nature of the wood bodies existing fine-pored nozzles the NEN. Let a be the longitudinal section of a trunk, the vertical longitudinal hatching of which indicates the course of the vascular bundles. If the trapezoidal bodies are cut out of the wood in the position shown to the fiber direction, the bundles of vessels come to light in the surfaces inclined to the fiber direction without the pore-like openings being too close to one another.

In the case of the pierced body c, of course, only those vascular bundles are effective which are between the. Tangents d-e, d '<I> e', </I> of the hole circle lie. Nozzle bodies like c are assumed in the other figures.

2 and 3 show a simple open foam generator. In the vessel 1 containing the foam-forming liquid, there are perforated tubes 2 on which wooden bodies c are lined up by rubber rings 3 with mutual sealing. The tubes 2, the gaseous agent is fed under pressure. In the effective area of their flanks, bubbles emerge from the wooden bodies, which become foam bubbles as they rise through the liquid.

When using block-shaped Kör pern like c you can make devices for generating foam in large quantities.

As a further example of such a device before the foam boiler shown in Fig. 4 to 6 is to serve. It is reminiscent of a sectional steam boiler, as the longitudinal section in FIG. 4 shows. Inclined pipes 9 connect the water chamber 7.0 with the foam chamber 11. In the pipes 9 are pipes 2 with lined blocks c with the interposition of sealing rings 3. which entirely correspond to FIG.

The pipes 2 are closed at the right end, while on the left they are connected to the system of distribution pipes partially shown in FIG. A transverse main pipe 12 feeds the gaseous agent and allows it to enter the vertical pipes 13 to which the pipes 2 are connected. The foam-forming liquid is introduced into the water chamber 10 at 14.

By virtue of the pressure gradient and the buoyancy, the foam masses generated within the pipes 9 flow to .the foam chamber 11, where the separation according to the specific weight causes the lowering of the wet foam parts, while the foam otherwise becomes drier towards the top becoming. the pressure line 15 leading to the point of use rises against it. At 16, a line that can be shut off will have to be arranged to carry away the liquid that is basically collecting in the foam chamber.

Such a foam boiler can also be built with a vertical pipe system 9-9.
