Dieses Anheben des Hebels 59 durch die Scheibe 80 und den Stift 79 ist ohne weite res möglich, denn die Zehnerübertragungs- vorrichtung tritt erst in Tätigkeit, nachdem der in der Tastatur eingestellte Zahlenwert in die Zählwerke übertragen ist;
Calculating machine with automatic division device. The invention relates to. a calculating machine equipped with an automatic division device, in which a differential gear transmits the rotation of the main drive shaft, moved by a hand crank or a motor, to one of two shafts, one of which is the calculating drive, the other the correction - or: the count. works transport device drives.
The invention consists in the fact that a locking element cooperating with two counter locking elements of the driven shafts of the differential gear controls the differential gear.
The whole can be designed in such a way that this' locking member, as soon as it comes into engagement with the counter-locking member, ie the one differential shaft, disengages with the other shaft, so that always one of the two Differential shafts locked, the other is free.
This locking element, which is expediently mounted in the machine frame, can be influenced on the one hand by a tens preparation: thumb of the numerical roller driven by the uppermost tens thumb, and on the other hand by a correction shaft. shifts the position in which the drive shaft is locked and the correction shaft is free, while the correction shaft, if it is released,
always before the end of a rotation, the locking member pushes back into its opposite end position and thereby locks itself again after one rotation, so that in general the correction shaft is locked and the drive shaft is free, while the opposite state only lasts for the duration of one Rotation can exist.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is Darge provides.
Fi.l-. Fig. 1 is a plan view and Fig. 2 is a side view of the same; Fig. 3 shows a detail, Fig. 4 - the correction device seen from the rope.
Fig. 5 shows a further detail, Fig. 6 the differential gear in section, and Figs. 7 and 8 are views of the counter locking members of the differential shafts.
The differential gear is fixed by means of the bearing block 1 on the board 2 .des arithmetic machine housing (Fig. 6). The drive of the differential,. which could also be done by a motor, takes place in the ge signed embodiment: by a drive crank 3 which is mounted in a crank block 4 screwed to the lower frame 6 with the shaft 5. A bevel gear 7 is keyed on the shaft 5, which meshes with a bevel gear 8, which in turn is firmly connected to the gear wheel 9 and can be loosely rotated with it on the main drive shaft 10.
The gear 9 engages through the axis 12 with the one-sided; open bell housing 13 of the differential gear firmly connected gear wheel 11 a. Through the slots 14 of the housing 13, the axles 17, the rotating bevel gears 18 of the differential gear, which are connected to one another by the center piece 16 which is rotatable on the correction shaft 15 l # 3se, are carried along.
The I? Mlaufke; el gears 18 engage on one side in a bevel gear 19, which sits firmly on the correction shaft 15, on the other side in a bevel gear, d 20, which together with the gear 21 a hollow countershaft 20a. forms, which is loosely rotatable on the correction shaft 15 and by means of the gears 21 and 23 drives the main drive shaft 10. Both differential waves (15 and 20a) emerge from the di.fferential housing through the bell opening,
..e is dimensioned in such a way that .ass all wheels, the differential gear with the walls supporting them can be installed and removed as a whole through them. The main drive shaft moves the staggered roller shafts 26 in the usual way by means of the bevel gears 24, 25. As soon as one of the shafts 15 or 20a is blocked, the rotation starts at twice the speed of the differential housing 13.
The gear 11 has twice the number of teeth of the gear 9, so that, despite the differential, one rotation of the 3drive crank also corresponds to one rotation of the shaft 15 or 20.
The locking device, which locks one or the other shaft of the differential gear, has a locking slide 27 guided in the bearing block 1 of the differential gear, which is influenced by the tens preparation thumb of the number disk moved by the last tens shift thumb in the manner described later, and which cooperates with two locking disks 22 and 30, of which the first is seated on the hollow countershaft 20a upstream of the main drive shaft and the second on the correction shaft 15.
In Fig. 6, the, slide 27 is set so that with the nose 2 8 in the notch 22a (Fig. 8) of the disk 22, the hollow countershaft 20a and thus also, the main drive shaft 10 blocks, while the correction shaft 15 is free and as a result is rotated in Um, uno.
But as soon as the correction shaft rotates, the locking disk 30 on the slope 31 of the locking slide 27 is moved by the inclined wet 29 of the correction shaft 15 stuck so that at the end of the first rotation of the correction shaft with the nose 32 in the Recess 33 of the disk 30 engages. As soon as it is released, the correction wave - @ 1.5 locks itself again after one Um d'Tehung.
The counter transport device of the machine has, as FIG. 1 shows, a toothed rail 49 mounted on the counter slide 52, in the notches of which the disk 47 engages with two pins 47a, so that every time the disk 47 rotates half a turn makes the counter slide by the distance between two adjacent notches, the rack is pushed further.
The toothed splint can swing in the bearings 50 (FIG. 2) by means of the pin 51; it is generally held in engagement with the pins 47a by the spring 54, but can be pivoted by means of the handle 5i) so that it is also , the pins 47a comes out of engagement. In addition, the machine has equipment through which the reversing gear of the result and revolution counter are disengaged in the zero position of the drive shaft.
When the toothed rail 49 is disengaged from the pins 472 and the drive is in the zero position, the counter slide can therefore be freely moved to both sides. The drive of the disk 47 takes place from the shaft 15 and is described later.
From the correction device of the machine, through which, if the divisor was deducted from the dividend once more than it is contained in it, the reversing gear of the result and revolving counter for the duration of one revolution of the drive shaft 10 in the opposite direction of rotation Counters are switched over, through which the subtraction that was once too multiplied in the result unit and the too much indicated rotation is undone in the revolution counter is shown in the drawing (Fig. 4 and 5)
only .the correction helabl 70 is shown, which by means of the curve 71 and the pin 72 the .the type of calculation (addition; multiplication, subtraction, division) adjusting switch lever 73 -moves. The engagement of the correction device occurs from the correction shaft 15 in a manner to be described later by means of the lever 74 which is steered on the correction lever 70 and which is generally held by the spring 75 in the position shown in FIG.
The drive, the transport and the correction device are carried out by the correction shaft 15 as follows: The cardan joint 34 (I'i. 1) seated on the correction shaft 15 becomes the axis 35, which is supported by ci, as \ bearings 36 is held, .rotated, and with it the bevel gear 37, which is firmly seated on it, and the bevel gear 37 (FIGS. 1 to 5) with three rollers 39a, 39b, 39c,
which sits loosely rotatably on the shaft 40 and in which one hub face coupling teeth] -1 are incorporated.
The rollers 39a, 39b, 39c together form men. with the lever 74, which is not steered on the correction lever 70, the first clutch which moves the correction device. The coupling teeth 41 cooperate with the coupling piece 42, which is longitudinally displaceable on the shaft 40 but cannot rotate, and together with it form the second coupling which moves the counter transport device.
Both clutches are influenced by the tens preparation thumb of the dial moved by the top decimal switch thumb, as described below.
If in the counter driven by the top ten switch thumb the number dial goes from 0 to 9 or vice versa, then the tens preparation thumb 55 (Fig. 2) of this number disc actuates the slide 56, which pivots the bracket 5 7 so that its nose 58! The angle lever 59 on the. Nose 60 releases. By: the spring 61, the lever 59 is then pivoted about the bearing point 6 \ 3. This triggers two switching processes at the same time.
On the one hand, the push rod 64, which is linked to the lever 59 and guided in the holding piece 67, moves the slide 27 which controls the differential gear, in that the push rod 64 shifted in its longitudinal axis with the lateral inclined surface 65 (Fig. 3) on the end of the slide 27 provided inclined surface 66 acts.
To the. on the other hand, the coupling piece 42 is displaced towards the bevel gear 38 through the laterally bent fork 63 (Fig. 1, 2, 3) provided at the end of the vertical arm of the angle lever 59. However, the coupling piece 42 cannot temporarily be moved until it engages the coupling teeth 41 of the bevel gear 38 because the collar 76 (FIG. 4) of the coupling piece 42 is held firmly by the pawl 77 of the lever 74 attached to the correction lever 70 becomes.
The lever 74, however, is displaced by a small amount by the coupling piece 42, so that its end 74a (FIG. 5) bent laterally reaches the path of the rollers 39a, 39b, 39e on the bevel gear 38. Since at the same time with the coupling piece 42 of the locking slide 27 of the differential gear is moved so that the correction shaft is now free, it begins at the same moment in which the lever 74 in .the path of the rollers 39a, 39b, 39e is reached to turn the bevel gear 38.
namely, @ because the bevel gear 37 drives the bevel gear 38 under idem gear ratio 1: 3, and the correction shaft 15 remains free for only one revolution, around '/ 3 revolution. Thus, the roller 39e (Fig. 5) lies under the end 74a of the lever 7-1 and lifts the lever 74 and the correction lever 70, whereby the reversing gear, not shown, of the result and revolving counter are switched.
Since the bevel gear 38 makes only% rotation; the roller 39e comes to rest after it .the previous Labe of the roller 39a (Fig. 5) has reached. The correction lever therefore remains in the raised position for the time being.
When the lever 74 is raised, the pawl 77 disengages from the collar 76 on the coupling piece # 12, even before the bevel gear 38 .die 1 / n. Has completed rotation, so that after during the rotary movement: the coupling piece 42 with its coupling teeth against, the coupling teeth 41 of the bevel gear 38 lays.
Nevertheless, the shaft 40 does not rotate because only three coupling teeth are seen on the coupling piece 42 and on the bevel gear 38 and the coupling teeth are head on head. if: the coupling piece 42 is only released after the bevel gear 38 had already been rotated by a certain amount. A rotation of the shaft 40 could therefore only take place if the bevel gear 38 would be moved by more than 1 / a rotation. After the pawl 77 disengaged from the collar 76, the lever 74 cannot be pulled off the roller 39a again by the spring 75 'because the protruding edge 74b (Figs. 4 and 5) of the laterally bent end 74 behind the head of the roller 39e.
Only when, with further rotation, of the large Ke gelrades 38, the roller 9e expires from the end 74a of the lever 74, the lever 74 swings back into the position shown in FIG. 4, so that only then can the correction device return to its starting position. The lever 59 is raised again by the pin 79 (Fig. 2) of the disk 80 seated on the drive shaft 10 on the nose 81 and again set by the bracket 57 in the raised position.
This lifting of the lever 59 by the disc 80 and the pin 79 is easily possible, because the tens transmission device only comes into operation after the numerical value set in the keyboard has been transmitted to the counters;
In addition, the tens transfer takes place one after the other in the different places of the machine, and that in the uppermost place at the very end. The tens preparation thumb of the top counter therefore only comes into effect when the shaft 10 has almost finished its rotation while the pen. 79 raises the lever 59 beforehand. It can therefore, during the same rotation of the disk 80 and the shaft 10, first be raised by lever 59 and triggered again immediately afterwards.
Used when the correction lever is raised. Thus, with the pawl 77 lying outside the movement area a ZD of the coupling piece 42, the lever 59 is once again cleared by the tens preparation; thumb 55 of the uppermost counterwork disk. so the Fe fer 61 brings the coupling piece 42 before the start of the rotation of the bevel gear 38 with the coupling teeth 41 of this bevel gear in engagement.
As a result, the correction shaft 15, which in turn was released by the locking slide 27 at the same time as the displacement of the coupling piece 42 was released, is connected to the shaft 40 so that this shaft can be connected to the bevel gears 44, 45 (FIG. 2) and the shaft 46 drives the disk 4 7 of the counter transport.
The bevel gears 44 and 45 are translated in a ratio of 3: 3, so that .at 1/3 turn of the bevel gear 38 and the shaft 10, .the disc 47 makes half a turn and the counter shifted by one place becomes.
To carry out a division, the: machine is handled in the following way: The dividend is set in the result unit, the divisor is set in the setting unit under the top digits of the dividend. The switching lever 73 is set to subtractio.n-division. Then, by turning the crank 3, the machine is started.
The slide 27 is set at the beginning of the calculation so that .that .the drive shaft 10 is free, the correction shaft 15 is blocked, so the drive shaft is first set in motion, namely because the slide 27 is then moved when the number disc driven by the top ten-key goes from 0 to 9, the divisor is deducted from the dividend until this top ten-key takes effect. That is the case at the moment,
in which the divisor is deducted from the dividend once more than it is actually contained in the dividend. At this moment the lever 59 is given frm, whereby slide 27, coupling piece 42 and lever 74 are moved. As a result, the drive shaft is blocked, the correction shaft is released and the lever 74 is forced into the path of the rollers 39a, 39b, 39e by means of the pawl 77. The correction device is thus switched.
After one revolution of the correction shaft (equal to 1 / "turn of the large bevel gear 38), the correction shaft is blocked again and the drive shaft is released again. It occurs because the correction device switches the gearbox of the result and revolution counter , a one-time addition,
of the divisor to the dividend and at the same time a reverse rotation of the respective driven digit roller of the revolution counter: in such a way that the displayed digit value is reduced by one.
With the one-time addition of the divisor to the dividend, the digit wheel, driven by the top ten key thumb and turned from 0 to 9 before, is moved back from 9 to 0, thereby releasing lever 59 again, with pawl 77 now being outside the Movement range of the federal government 76 is, the coupling piece 42 already before the start of the rotation of the bevel gear 38 with the coupling teeth 41 on the hub comes into engagement, so that now,
because at the same time as the coupling piece 42, the locking slide 27 was moved on the differential gear and the correction shaft begins to run, the wool 40 is moved further by '/' rotation and the counter is transported. At the same time, the roller 39c runs from the end 74u of the lever 74 so that the correction device returns to its starting position. All parts of the division device are now in the same position as they were at the beginning of the calculation. The same game is repeated until: the division has been completed.
