  Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung mit hydriertem Ringsystem.    Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Trimetbyl-          tetrahydrobenzonitrils,    welches dadurch ge  kennzeichnet ist, dass man     Crotonsäurenitril     mit     1.3-Dimethylbiitadien    kondensiert. Die  neue Verbindung soll zur Herstellung von Farb  stoffen, pharmazeutischen Produkten und Riech  stoffen verwendet werden.    <I>Beispiel:</I>  In einem     Druckgefäss    werden 67 Gewichts  teile     Crotonsäurenitril    und 123 Gewichtsteile  1.     3-Dimethyl-butadieri    5 Stunden auf<B>1.600</B>  erhitzt. Die schwach gefärbte Flüssigkeit  wird im Vakuum destilliert.

   Nach einem  kleinen Vorlauf erhält man eine Hauptfraktion    vom     gp.is,ä    50-97 . Es bleibt eine geringe       Al-enge    einer zähen Masse zurück. Der grösste  Teil der Hauptfraktion destilliert bei Wieder  holung zwischen 93-95   bei 13,5 mm.

Das neue Pro dukt siedet bei 13,5 mm bei<B>93-950</B> und bildet ein wasserhelles Öl. <B> PATENT CLAIM: </B> Process for the preparation of a trimethyl tetrahydrobenzonitrile, characterized in that crotonic acid nitrile is condensed with 1,3-dimethylbutadiene.
