Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines chromhaltigen Azofarbstoffes. In dem Hauptpatent Nr. 141315 ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines chromhaltigen braunen Azofarbstoffes beschrieben, das darin besteht, dass man den o-Oxyazofarbstoff aus 4 - Nitro - 2 - aminophenol - 6 - sulfosäure und p-Chlor-m-pheriylendiamin mit Ohromverbin- dungen behandelt.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man einen braunen chromhaltigen Azofarbstoff von ähn lichen Eigenschaften erhält, wenn man den o-Oxyazofarbstoff aus diazotierter Pikramin- säure und 1.3-Phenylendiamin-4-sulfosäure mit Chromverbindungen behandelt. Der neue Farbstoff ist besonders gut zum Färben von Wolle oder Leder geeignet, da die hierbei erhältlichen Färbungen sehr lichtecht sind.
Beispiel Etwa 40 'feile des Azofarbstoffes aus dia zotierter Pikraminsäure und 1.3-Phenylendia- iriin-4-sulfosäure werden mit einer Lösung, die 9,1 Teile Chromoxyd und -14 Teile 85 /oige Ameisensäure in 600 Teilen Wasser enthält, 3 Stunden lang bei 120 o unter Rühren im Autoklaven erhitzt. Darauf wird in der übli chen Weise aufgearbeitet.

In the main patent no. 141315 a process for the preparation of a chromium-containing brown azo dye is described, which consists in that the o-oxyazo dye from 4 - nitro - 2 - aminophenol - 6 - sulfonic acid and p-chloro-m-pheriylenediamine with auromic treated.
It has now been found that a brown, chromium-containing azo dye of similar properties is obtained if the o-oxyazo dye made from diazotized picric acid and 1,3-phenylenediamine-4-sulfonic acid is treated with chromium compounds. The new dye is particularly suitable for dyeing wool or leather, as the dyeings available here are very lightfast.
EXAMPLE About 40 'files of the azo dye made from diacetated picric acid and 1,3-phenylenediamine-4-sulfonic acid are mixed with a solution containing 9.1 parts of chromium oxide and -14 parts of 85% formic acid in 600 parts of water for 3 hours 120 o heated with stirring in the autoclave. This is processed in the usual way.
