Description

Device for soldering the power supply wires of electrical glass vessels to the base. The invention relates to a device for soldering the power supply wires of electrical glass vessels to the base, with automatic supply devices for solid pieces of solder. The fusing of the pieces of solder can be done either by the heat communicated to the base to harden the putty or by local heating of the base soldering points, with either small gas burners aimed at the soldering points or electrical contact fingers being applied to the soldering points will.

The aim of the invention is to make the fusion of the pieces of solder easier, safer and faster to carry out; It is characterized in that under each supply device there is a hollow metal piston that can be heated to red heat by an associated stimulation device, which absorbs the falling pieces of solder, melts and then, due to its hollow shape, makes a soldering point to it in position brought base.

In order to be able to quickly guide lamp bases, which are set in a step-by-step rotating base putty machine, past the new soldering device and to prevent the fused solder from spreading with even greater certainty, each metal piston is expediently attached to a spring-loaded, swingable holder . The metal pistons can usually be held at a small distance from the soldering points of the sockets that are successively passed by these holders and are always only pressed against the soldering points of the sockets that are brought into position when the soldering is performed.

The drawing shows an embodiment example of the soldering device according to the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows the elevation of that part of the device which is used to solder the power supply wire protruding from the base plate of the base.

FIG. 2 shows the other part of the device in elevation, which causes the soldering of the power supply wire protruding laterally from the base sleeve.

At the upper end of a stationary frame stä, nders 1, the axis 2 of a supply roll 3 for wire-shaped solder material 4 ge superimposed, which can hold a flux medium, such as zinc chloride, as a core body ent in a known manner. Below the supply roll 3 there is a pierced guide pin 5 for the downwardly running solder wire 4 and two rollers 6, -7, which grasp the latter between them and pull it away from the supply roll 3. One roll, 6, is on a pin 8 of the stand 1, and the other roller, 7, on the pin 9 of a lever 10-. stored, which is swingable around the bolt 11 of the Stän 1 ders.

By the action of a spring 12 acting on the lever 10, the roller 7 is held in resilient contact with the roller 6. On the pivot 8 of the roller 6, a ratchet wheel 13 is mounted, in the teeth of which a pawl 14 and a pawl 1,5 engage. The switching pawl 14 is fastened to a lever 16 which is connected by means of an elongated hole 17 to a two-armed lever 19 rotatable about the bolt 18 of the rack stand 1. At the free end of this lever 19 engages a ge from the machine drive controlled up and down rod 20, which switches the switching wheel 13 by an always the same amount with each downward movement.

Since the rollers 6, 7 participate in the rotation of the wheel 13, when the rod 20 is moved downward, a piece of solder wire 4 of the same length is always withdrawn from the supply roller 3 downwards. moved forward. The solder wire leads un below the rollers 6, 7 in a sleeve 2.1, on the lower end face of which a knife 22 is provided which can be displaced transversely to the wire. This is guided in a sleeve 23 which also contains a spring 24 which pushes the knife 22 forward.

By the action of this spring 2.4, the knife 22 is pushed forward during the downward movement of the rod 20 and moved into such a position that the solder wire end can pass through a hole 25 in the knife 22 and protrude slightly from below. During the upward movement of the rod 20, the pawl 7.4 slides loosely over the ratchet wheel 13 so that no advance of the solder wire 4 takes place.

During this upward movement of the rod 20, however, the downward-reaching arm 26 of the lever 16 is moved in the direction of the arrow, with the result that the knife shaft is pushed back into the bush 23 and the end of the solder wire 4 protruding from the guide bush 21 is cut off by the knife 22 becomes. The cut piece of solder wire falls through a vertically positioned guide funnel 27 attached to the sleeve 23 in the Boh tion of a funnel-shaped or pipe-shaped metal piston 28, which is attached to a holder 29 pivotally mounted on the rack 1 ge.

Below the hollow bulb 2.8 is the base 30 of a lamp 31, which can be fixed in any way during the soldering process, one of which is fed through the base sleeve 33 and the other of the supply wire 3-4 perpendicular through the base plate 3.5 of the base 30 .

In the example shown, the soldering device is attached to a step-by-step revolving base putty machine, on whose turntable 3, 6, a number of holding forks 037 for the caps 38 holding the base are arranged in a circle. Talking about lamp 31 of the base putty machine is supported by a resilient abutment 39 in a likewise known manner.

After the lamps inserted into the base have passed through the heating points provided for setting the cement, they successively reach the area of the soldering device shown, with the base plate 35 of a lamp coming to stand under the bulb 28 .

The latter is usually held at a small distance from the base plate 35 by the action of a spring 40 acting on its holder so that it does not hinder the Dre hung of the base putty machine, and the lamp bases can get into position one after the other under him. The hollow piston 218 is heated from the outside by a controllable heating burner 41 and is constantly kept red hot so that the piece of solder falling into the piston bore is not only directed to the soldering point of the base plate, but is also melted at the same time .

In the upward movement of the rod 20, which causes a piece of solder to be cut, the holder 29 is pressed downward by the action of the lever arm 2.6 swinging forward in the direction of the arrow, so that the hollow piston 28 sits firmly on the base plate 35 during the soldering process.

The drop of solder material formed in the hollow piston thus surely covers the end of the power supply wire 34 protruding from the base plate, to be precise with the formation of an always uniformly small soldering surface. In order to be able to compensate for any small deviations in the height of the base or its dimensions, the lever arm 2.6 does not act directly, but with the interposition of a leaf spring 42 on the holder 2.9 carrying the hollow piston 28.

To solder the power supply wire 32 protruding from the base sleeve 33, the same items as on the front side of the stand are on the back of the stand 1, namely a wire supply roll 3, two resiliently pressed peeling rollers 6; 7, two fixed wire guides 5, 21, a knife 22, a guide funnel 2'7 and. a resiliently mounted, heated hollow piston 28 is attached.

In this case, however, due to the lateral cavity, this is trough-shaped and is inclined so that the solder material drops generated in its cavity can safely flow onto the lateral soldering point of the base sleeve 33. The lever linkage acting on the pull-off rollers 6, 7 and the knife 2 is also formed somewhat differently, namely the two-armed lever 19 articulated on the vertically movable rod 20 with the interposition of a link 43 with the lever 16 in connection.

By moving the rod 210 upwards, the solder wire 4 is moved forward and the knife 22 is positioned so that the solder wire can pass through the knife opening? 5. The downward movement of the rod 20, however, with the rollers 6, 7 standing still, the Mes sers 22 is pushed back and the solder wire end protruding from the knife is cut off.

In this case, too, during the cutting movement of the knife, the heated hollow piston 8 is temporarily pressed against the soldering point of the base, namely through the intermediary of the leaf spring 1-t attached to the lever 16. The flexibility of the leaf spring makes it possible to compensate for any differences in thickness of the base and also to keep the hollow piston 28 in firm contact with the base during the soldering process.

The parts of the soldering device attached to the two sides of the stand 1 have expediently a distance from one another corresponding to the pitch of the base putty machine, so that two consecutive lamps are always subject to soldering at the same time, and therefore each lamp only in one position of the base putty machine on the base plate and is soldered to the base sleeve in the other position of the base putty machine.

If the feed device for the pieces of solder shown in Fig. 2 is not arranged vertically above the lamp, but to the side of it, then both solderings of a lamp could be made simultaneously in a working position of the base cementing machine. The individual parts shown in Fig. 2 can also be stored on a special Crestell stand 1.

The heated hollow metal pistons can, instead of being resilient, also be mounted firmly, and furthermore also be pressed against the base soldering points independently of the supply of solder pieces. The hollow metal pistons 218 can also be heated electrically. Instead of the transversely movable knife 22, other separating organs, such as tongs or flames, could also occur. The Zuführungsein directions could also receive any design.

For example, storage containers could be provided for receiving plate-shaped, pin-shaped or spherical pieces of solder, from which the pieces of solder are fed to the hollow piston at precisely controlled intervals by means of positively controlled slides or grippers.

The supplied solder does not necessarily have to contain a flow valve. Each soldering point on the base can also be wetted or coated with soldering water or soldering grease before the soldering process using special auxiliary devices, for example small swinging brushes.

The subject of the invention can be used not only in the manufacture of electric lamps, but also in other glass vessels provided with power supply wires and bases, for example X-ray tubes, rectifiers, amplifier tubes and rheostats.
