Gear drive coupled with an electric motor. The subject of the present invention is a gear transmission coupled to an electric motor, which is characterized in that the gear-side end shield of the electric motor is provided with a flange for fastening the motor housing to the gear housing and the pinion of the gear is overhung on the motor shaft on the outside of this end shield is arranged.
In the drawing, the subject invention is illustrated by three embodiments.
Fig. 1 and 2 show a horizontal BEzw. a vertical section through a first embodiment; Fig. 3 and 4 illustrate a horizontal BEzw. a vertical section through a second embodiment, while in Fig. 5 is a view of a third exemplary embodiment, partially in vertical section, is shown.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the electric motor a and the housing b of the transmission are connected to one another by means of flanges c, d, f , of which two, c, f, are formed on the gearbox housing b and the third, d, on the bearing plate e of the electric motor a. The two parts of the transmission housing are held together by the flanges c, f. On the in the end shields e of the electric motor a in a known manner th motor shaft g, the pinion h of the Ge gear outside the end wall of the shield is overhung. The gear wheel i of the transmission, which is in working connection with this pinion h, is also arranged overhung outside the transmission housing b.
These two gears h, i are located in the space which is enclosed by the end walls of the gear housing b and of the engine end shield e connected to one another by the flanges c, d.
The shafts of the second pair of gears k, na of the transmission are mounted in the two parts of the transmission housing b which are connected to one another by the flanges e, f . The latter is provided with feet n, o with which it can be attached to the flange-mounted drive motor on a foundation.
The second embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 differs from the first embodiment, among other things, in that the fastening feet n, o are arranged on the motor end shields e. This ensures that the center of gravity of the engine is moved closer to the mounting feet, which is particularly desirable for larger engines.
When the transmission-side end shields e of the electric motor a of the embodiment according to FIG. 5, which illustrates a single-stage transmission, a flange d is also provided, which is attached to the flange c of the transmission housing b. On the motor shaft g superimposed in a known manner in the motor end shields e, the pinion h of the transmission is arranged flying outside the end shield. The shaft of the gear i cooperating with the pinion h is BEZW on both sides in the gear housing. stored in the closure flange p. The latter closes an opening in the gear housing through which the gear. i is introduced into the latter. The gear housing is provided on the motor side with a second opening through which the bearing of the pinion h protrudes into the gear housing.
This opening of the transmission housing and the motor-side bearing of the Zabnrades i receiving bore of the transmission housing are completed by the motor end shield e and its mounting flange d. This enables a transmission with any small axial spacing to be connected to any large motor.
Special bearing feet for the transmission are not required in this exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5; the normal bearing feet on the motor housing are sufficient.
The described design of the gearbox and the motor end shield enable motors of different sizes to be connected to a gearbox of a certain size. It is only necessary for the flange d of the motor end shield to be adapted to the associated gear flange c. The motor itself does not need to be changed for this purpose, which means that any normal version can be used for this purpose. The motor bearing plate e which is used to connect to the transmission can also retain the usual shape in the wesentli Chen, since only the fastening flange d needs to be formed on it.
The end shield can therefore fulfill its actual purpose unchanged, since it is not affected in its property as a bearing body for the motor shaft, housing for the motor fan, Füh tion for the fan air, etc. by the arrangement of this flange.
Since the pinion h is seated on the motor shaft, precise mounting of the pinion to the motor is guaranteed. A certain inaccuracy with regard to the matching of the flanges c, d does not have a detrimental effect on the running of the motor and the transmission, because it does not affect the individual storage of the shafts. This formation of the transmission and the motor end shield is therefore particularly suitable for cases where the motor and transmission are made separately from one another in different workshops and then assembled.
Through the mounting flange of the motor bearing shield respectively. its front wall, the motor is completely closed off from the gear housing, so that the oil in the gear housing is withdrawn from the action of the motor fan and the motor cooling air can be discharged through the openings in the end shield unhindered.
