Description

Joint joint seal for storage flaps. In the previously known baffle flaps, both those that sit as an attachment on another movable weir body, as well as those that are placed directly on the immovable, solid weir base, the lower joint seal is located in the form of a spring sheet, a leather strip or the like instead. One side of the spring plate or the leather strip is attached to the weir part carrying the flap, while the other side of the sealing strip loosely grinds on the flap, which is rounded for this purpose at this point.

The rounding is carried out so that its center coincides with the center of the pivot bearing of the flap, so that the sealing strip grinds on the rounding at the same distance from the center of rotation. The water pressure now presses the sealing plate or the leather strip against the rounded edge of the storage flap. However, experience has shown that in many cases this type of seal is not sufficient to achieve a perfect, water-impermeable seal.

The object of the invention is to create a joint joint seal for dust cloths which ensures absolutely reliable watertightness. According to the invention this is achieved in that the sealing strip, spring plate, leather strip, rubber strip or the like, not only on one side as before, but on both sides, i.e. both with the weir part carrying the flap and with the dam flap, firmly connected, that is, is fixed rigidly and tightly.

It is advantageous to use semi-open shells or circular grooves in these two-sided rigid loading of the sealing strip, in which grind circular sectors or circular strips connected to the flap, the axis of rotation of the flap coinciding with the center line of curvature of the shells and along this center line the joint and the joint seal of the flap is arranged. Since the hinge joint does not widen, but only changes the angle between the two metal sheets that meet here, the sealing strip can be rigidly attached to the two parts that meet.

In the drawing, an execution example of the invention is shown.

Fig. 1 shows the joint seal with the flap placed around and FIG.

The flap a is firmly connected to each shell with a semicircular bronze ring b, wel cher in the shell c slides. The shell c sits firmly on the movable weir body d. The sheet metal skin of the flap e and the sheet metal skin f of the weir body d collide in a line that coincides with the center line of curvature of the shell. The seal is formed by the metal, rubber or leather strip g, which is firmly connected both to the sheet metal skin e of the flap and to the sheet metal skin f of the weir body d by means of flat iron h and screws ben i.

3 shows a cross-section through the sealing strip and the bearing shell along the line 1-Z of FIG. 2. The joint seal can be formed in the same way if the dam is placed on an immovable, solid defensive base.

The essence of the invention is not changed if the mounting of the flap and the attachment of the sealing strip to the two sheets is made so that a loop or a hold in the sealing strip arises during the flap movement.
