Description

Via power switch. In the case of overcurrent switches, for example in the form of installation self-switches with spring-controlled switching contacts, it is often necessary not only to switch off instantaneously, but also to switch it on for a moment in order to prevent the switch contacts from scorching when they are switched on under heavy loads, e.g. under a short circuit prevent. Given the small amount of space available, it is difficult to provide a securely acting instantaneous switching also for switching on the installation self-switch.

In your overcurrent switch according to the invention, this goal is achieved by simple means in that the switching contacts are under the action of a tension spring at the beginning of the switching movement by a U-shaped spring that is locked in place during the continuation of the switching movement by a wedge is spread so far that the locking is canceled and the switching contacts collapse suddenly. In the following an embodiment of the invention will be explained with reference to the drawing.

1, 3 and 4 show an installation self-switch in various switching positions, namely in FIG. 1 in the switched-off state, in FIG. 3 the start of switching on is shown, while FIG. 4 shows the switch in the switched-on closed state stand can be recognized. Fig. 2 and 5 show the locking spring in its two main positions. The course of the current is denoted by numbers, the individual parts of the switching mechanism with letters. The switch shown has two interruption points 2, 3-4, 5 and 10, 11-12, 13.

The interruption point 10, 11-12, 13 is provided with a momentary switch.

6-7 is a magnet winding and 8-9 is the heating wire of the thermal trip. The switch-on push button a serves once to actuate the knee joint c-d and thus the switching bridge 3-4, which can be rotated about the point t, but also via the linkage g to push in the switching bridge 11-12. This is not rigidly connected to the linkage g, but sits loosely on it so it can be moved.

When pushing button a, the switching bridge 3-4 is first placed on contacts 2-b. Then the switching bridge 11-12 also moves downwards, sits on the U-shaped spring i with the surfaces 9-, while the rod g with the lower wedge-like widening k pushes between the two legs of the spring i pushes and at the same time tensions the spring la.

Fig. 2 shows the view of the spring i from below, in the eyes in which the wedge-shaped Ver broadening has not yet penetrated between the legs of the spring z. The moment of penetration is shown in FIG. 3. If the switch-on movement is continued, the wedge-shaped widening k drives the legs of the U-shaped bent spring i apart, as is shown again in FIG. At this moment the jumper loses its support with the surfaces r and is quickly placed on contacts 10 and 13 by the spring.

The spring i is attached to the base plate so that the socket r with the bridge 11-12 is lifted out when the contacts are opened.

The switching mechanism is installed in a common insulating housing, namely the two interruption points are each housed in a separate spark space.
