Description

Time-setting device for a self-winding watch. The object of the present invention is a time-setting device for a self-winding watch -of the type comprising a rotating rod which passes through the wall of the case, which must be moved longitudinally to be mine in relation to the case. the needles and which carries an operating member on the outside. This device is characterized in that this member is constituted by a lever mounted on the rod, so as to be able to rotate about an axis perpendicular to that of the latter, and having a spout which can be actuated with the finger and a heel which, when the beak is raised,

rests on the box and brings the stem to the time-setting position.

The drawing below represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.

Fig. 1 shows the device in question on a large scale and partly in section; Fig. 2 represents the device adapted to a wristwatch; Fig. 3 shows how the different elements work for setting the time of the watch; Fig. 4 shows a dirty cross section along line IV-1V of FIG. 3.

From the middle emerges a rod 1 which carries a lever 2 articulated on this rod, so as to be able to rotate about an axis perpendicular to that of the rod, and having a beak and a heel.

The rod 1 is extended by a section 13 which has a circular groove guiding the zipper 3, which pivots at 4. The zipper 3 is provided with a spring 5 which tends to push the section 13 in which the ti rette 3 is engaged from the center side of the watch. Against the zipper 3 rests the lever 7 pivoting at 14 and which is pressed against the zipper 3 by the spring 6. The lever 7 engages in a groove 15 of the sliding rod 8. The latter slides on the square 11 of section 13 and bears, at its lower part, a set of teeth 9. 10 represents a toothed wheel, intended to move the hands to set the watch to the time.

To do this, by acting on the beak of lever 2, the latter is placed in the position indicated at 21 in fig. 3 and 4, which has the effect of pulling the rod 1 towards the outside of the watch, the heel of the lever resting on the bottom of the recess. As a result, the ti rette 3 changes position and moves the lever 7 and the sliding pinion 8 towards the center of the watch, which causes the toothing 9 to engage with the wheel 10.

By turning the lever 2, the toothed wheel 10 and, therefore, the watch hands are set in motion. As soon as the watch has been set to the time, the lever 2 is brought back to its original position, which is shown in solid lines in FIG. 4.

So that the lever 2, in the rest position, cannot turn and does not go beyond the carrara of the box, it is then partially housed in a small recess 16 which matches the shape of this element (see fig. 2 and 4).
