Description

  

  Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent     Nr.    160439.    Verfahren zur     HersteHung    eines neuen als     Reservierungsmittel     verwendbaren Kondensationsproduktes.    Es wurde gefunden,     dass    man ein neues  Kondensationsprodukt erhält,     wen.n    man 2     Mol          Benzoiii    und<B>1</B>     Mol        2-Oxynaphthalin-3,6-di-          sulfonsäure    kondensiert.  



  Das neue Produkt bildet ein helles Pul  ver, das sich in Wasser leicht löst. Es ist  durch seine Affinität zur tierischen Faser aus  gezeichnet und soll zum Reservieren der Wolle  gegenüber Farbstoffen der verschiedensten  Klassen verwendet werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  40 Teile technisches 2<B>-</B>     naphthol,   <B>- 3,6 -</B>     di-          sulfosaures    Natrium werden in 250 Teilen  konzentrierter Schwefelsäure gelöst. Hierauf  trägt man zwischen 20<B>-</B> 40<B>0</B> unter gutem  Rühren 40-50 Teile     Benzoin    ein. Nach eini  gem Stehen verdünnt man mit etwa 250  Teilen Eis, filtriert und wäscht gegebenen  falls mit     Chlornatriumlösung    etwas nach.

   Der  Rückstand wird dann in Wasser gelöst, mit       Natriumearbonat    oder     -hydroxyd    neutralisiert  und, wenn nötig, von Verunreinigungen     abfil-          triert.    Das neue Produkt kann durch Versetzen    dieser klaren Lösung mit Chlornatrium oder  andern ähnlich wirkenden Salzen isoliert wer  den. Hierauf wird getrocknet und pulverisiert.  



  Die Aufarbeitung kann jedoch auch so  vor sich gehen,     dass    man die mit viel Wasser  verdünnte saure Kondensationsmasse mit     Cal-          ciumkarbonat    oder     -hydroxyd    neutralisiert und  nach dem     Abfiltrieren    von     Caleiumsulfat    mit       Natriumearbonat    in das     Natriumsalz    umsetzt.

  The new product forms a light-colored powder that easily dissolves in water. It is characterized by its affinity for animal fibers and should be used to reserve the wool against dyes of various classes.



  <I> Example: </I> 40 parts of technical 2 <B> - </B> naphthol, <B> - 3.6 - </B> disulfonic acid sodium are dissolved in 250 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid. Then between 20 - 40 40 - 50 parts of benzoin are introduced with thorough stirring. After standing for a while, the mixture is diluted with about 250 parts of ice, filtered and, if necessary, rewashed with sodium chloride solution.

   The residue is then dissolved in water, neutralized with sodium carbonate or hydroxide and, if necessary, filtered to remove impurities. The new product can be isolated by adding sodium chloride or other similarly acting salts to this clear solution. It is then dried and pulverized.



  The work-up can, however, also proceed in such a way that the acidic condensation mass diluted with plenty of water is neutralized with calcium carbonate or hydroxide and, after the calcium sulfate has been filtered off, converted into the sodium salt with sodium carbonate.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kon densationsproduktes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 2 Mol Benzoin und<B>1</B> Mol 2<B>-</B> Oxy- naphthalin <B>- 3,6 -</B> disulfonsäure kondensiert. Das neue Produkt bildet ein helles Pul ver, das sich in Wasser leicht löst. Es ist durch seine Affinität zur tierischen Faser aus gezeichnet und soll zum Reservieren der Wolle gegenüber Farbstoffen der verschiedensten Klas.-en verwendet werden.
