Description
Verfahren zar Herstellung eines neuen als Reser vierungsmittel verwendbaren Kondensationsproduktes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein neues Kondensationsprodukt erhält, wenn man 1 Mol Benzoin und 1 Mol 1-Ogynaphthalin-4- sulfonsäure kondensiert.
Das neue Produkt bildet ein helles Pulver, das sich in Wasser leicht löst. Es ist durch seine Affinität zur tierischen Faser ausge zeichnet und soll zum Reservieren der Wolle gegenüber Farbstoffen der verschiedensten Klassen verwendet werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 30 Teile technisches 1-oxynaphthalin-4- sulfosaures Natrium werden in 250 Teilen konzentrierter Schwefelsäure gelöst. Hierauf trägt man zwischen 20-400 unter gutem Rühren 20-25 Teile Benzoin ein: Nach einigem Stehen verdünnt man mit etwa 250 Teilen Eis, filtriert und wäscht gegebenenfalls mit Chlornatriumlösung etwas nach. Der Rückstand wird dann in Wasser gelöst, mit Natriumcarbonat oder -hydroxyd neutralisiert und, wenn nötig, von Verunreinigungen ab filtriert. Das neue Produkt kann durch Ver- setzen dieser klaren Lösung mit Chlornatrium oder andern ähnlich wirkenden Salzen isoliert werden.
Hierauf wird getrocknet und pulve risiert.
Die Aufarbeitung kann jedoch-- auch so vor sich gehen, dass man die mit viel.Wasser verdünnte saure gondensationsmasae-mit Cal= ciumcarbonat oder -hydroxyd neutralisiert un.d nach dem Abfiltrieren von Calciumsulfat. mit Natriumcarbonat in das Natriumsalz umsetzt.
Process for the production of a new condensation product which can be used as a reserve agent. It has been found that a new condensation product is obtained if 1 mole of benzoin and 1 mole of 1-ogynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid are condensed.
The new product forms a light-colored powder that easily dissolves in water. It is characterized by its affinity for animal fibers and should be used to reserve the wool against dyes of various classes.
<I> Example: </I> 30 parts of technical 1-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid sodium are dissolved in 250 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid. 20-25 parts of benzoin are then introduced with good stirring: after standing for a while, the mixture is diluted with about 250 parts of ice, filtered and, if necessary, rewashed a little with sodium chloride solution. The residue is then dissolved in water, neutralized with sodium carbonate or hydroxide and, if necessary, filtered to remove impurities. The new product can be isolated by mixing this clear solution with sodium chloride or other similarly acting salts.
It is then dried and pulverized.
The work-up can, however, also be carried out in such a way that the acidic condensation process, which has been diluted with plenty of water, is neutralized with calcium carbonate or hydroxide and, after the calcium sulphate has been filtered off. Reacts with sodium carbonate into the sodium salt.
