Description
Additional patent to main patent no. 166780. Process for the production of a dry, completely soluble, cellulose-free coffee powder. The main patent describes a process according to which raw, caffeine-free or caffeine-containing coffee beans are leached out with water at low or high temperatures and the dried extract is then roasted in a suitable manner.
It has been shown that roasted caffeine-free or caffeine-containing coffee immediately gives an easily filterable liquid when briefly leached with cold or warm water, which when evaporated in the vacuum provides a dry extract that, when suitably roasted, gives completely water-soluble, cellulose-free coffee.
Roasted coffee is one that has been brought to temperatures at which the coffee aromas have not yet formed. Example: 1500 liters of water are poured over 500 kg of coarsely ground, caffeinated or caffeine-free roasted coffee and extracted at any temperature for two hours. The contents are then allowed to cool, filtered and the clear solution is pumped into the vacuum evaporator. The same operation is repeated with 500 liters of water.
