Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen Küpenfarbstoff erhält, wenn man 4 . 6-Dimethyl-5 . 7-dichlor-3-oxythionaphthen finit dem 2-(p-Dimethylamino)-anil des 4. 7 Dimethyl-5-chlor=3-oxythionaphthens konden siert.

stellt ein rotes Pulver dar, das sich in kon zentrierter Schwefelsäure mit grüner Farbe löst und Baumwolle aus gelb gefärbter Küpe in beuchechten, sehr reinen, rotvioletten Tö nen färbt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 247 Teile 4. 6-Dhmathyl-5. i7-diehlor-3- oxythionaphthen und 344,5 Teile 2-(p-Di- inethyjamino)-anil des 4.7-Dimethyl-5-chlor- 3-oxythionaphthens werden mit 4000 Volum- teilen Eisessig auf dem Wasserbade erhitzt, bis die Kondensation beendigt ist. Dann wird filtriert, gewaschen und getrocknet.
