Description

Process for the preparation of an acidic wool dye of the anthraquinone series. The subject of the present additional patent is a process for the preparation of an acidic wool dye of the anthraquinone series, which is characterized in that 1 mol of leucoquinizarine is mixed with 2 hol? -Amino-1. 2. 3. 4-tetrahydronaphthalene reacts, the compound thus obtained is oxidized and the substance thus obtained is sulfated.

Example: 10 parts by weight of leucoquinizarin are heated with 80 parts by weight of 2-amino-1.2.3.4-tetrahydronaphthalene to 140 to 150 ° C until the melt has taken on an olive-green color. It is then allowed to cool to 100 ° C., 1 part by weight of piperidine is added and air is passed in until a clear blue solution has formed. When diluted with alcohol, the condensation product is separated out in shiny bronze blue crystals. Melting point 255 C.

The yellow dye is soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid. The dye is now sulfated with monohydrate. A disulfonic acid is obtained which dyes wool from an acid bath in clear blue shades. The dyeings are characterized by good fastness properties.

' , UNTERANSPRÜCHE: PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of an acidic wool dye of the antlirachinone series, characterized in that 1 mol of leucoquinizarine is reacted with 2 mol of 2-amino-1.2.3.4-tetrahy4ronaphthalene, the compound thus obtained is oxidized and the substance thus obtained is sulfated. The disulfonic acid obtained in this way dyes wool from an acid bath in clear blue tones, which are distinguished by good fastness properties. ', SUBClaims: 1. 2. 1. The method according to claim, characterized in 01 that the reaction components are heated at 140 to 150 until the melt has taken on an olive green color and into the melt, which has cooled to about 100, after adding 1 part by weight of piperidine air is introduced until a clear blue solution has formed. 2. Process according to patent claim, characterized in that the sulphurization is effected with sulfuric acid monohydrate.
