Description
Baustein.
Fig. 1, 2 und 3 zeigen ein erstes Ausfüh rungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes, wobei Fig. 1 eine Vorderansicht desselben, Fig. 2 ein Längsschnitt durch dasselbe, und Fig. 3 ein Querschnitt durch dasselbe ist;
Building block. It is known that the insulating ability of sand-lime brick and cement brick remains far behind that of brick. Even with limestone cinder blocks, pumice stone, turf stones, etc., it would be desirable to increase the insulation ability. One is often forced to achieve sufficient insulation in: masonry made of sand-lime bricks or cement stones, to make the wall correspondingly thick, or in the case of a hollow wall, to make the inner layer of bricks.
Such walls either put an undesirable load on the building site and the structures below, or the builder has the disadvantage that he has to use two types of stone. There is also the disadvantage that such walls are always damp during the first year after construction.
The subject matter of the invention is now an artificial building block which has a good insulation capacity in that it is provided with an insulation part at least on one side. This insulation part can either be produced simultaneously with the manufacture of the rest of the stone, or it can be completed prior to the rest of the stone production and connected to the latter during the manufacture of the stone.
Mixtures of wood and cement, asbestos and cement, glass wool and cement, man-made insulating materials such as silos, and industrial waste such as cork shavings, cork flour, lacquer, also pumice, etc. are particularly suitable materials for the insulation part.
The drawing shows two example designs of stones according to the invention.
1, 2 and 3 show a first exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, FIG. 1 being a front view of the same, FIG. 2 a longitudinal section through the same, and FIG. 3 being a cross section through the same;
4 shows the front view of a second exemplary embodiment, in which the fabrication process is based on the same basis as in brick production, in that the material is driven through molding by means of a screw press.
Both of the stones shown consist of part a, which can be made of lime sand, cement sand, lime slag, pumice or turf and which gives the stone the necessary static strength, and part b of some insulating material that helps the stone to achieve good insulation.
The building blocks shown are artificial building blocks made of two different parts made from different materials, of which one part is intended to give the building block the necessary static strength and the other part assuring good insulation.
The building block according to Fig. 1, 2 and 3 was made in such a way that first a part of the form was filled with insulation material and lightly pressed together, after which the still empty part of the form was filled with a mass that should give the stone its static strength, was filled and then subjected to the molding process. The two parts have enough affinity to bond well. Such stones are bricked in such a way that the insulation part always comes inwards.
The building stone can be designed in such a way that the insulation capacity is superior to that of a brick wall of the same thickness.
The part described could of course have any other dimension and, if necessary, be provided with an insulating part on both sides instead of just on one side.
The insulation part can for example also consist of wood wool and cement, wood wool and plaster, cork waste, slag, pumice and a binding agent such as cement or lime.
