Description

Handwebstuhl.

Hand loom. The invention relates to a hand loom which is of simple construction and can be easily taken apart and put back together and which enables large weaving widths.

According to the invention, the frame of the loom has two light, metal side frames, which are held at a mutual distance by three connecting pieces that can be easily detached by hand, at least one of which is formed by the string or breast tree. The metal side frames preferably each form a complete whole in such a way that they can easily be set up by hand.

The three connectors are preferably formed by a support beam for the shafts, the backrest and the chest tree and can be made of wood ago.

The support beam can be provided with upright pins to support or store warp yarn bobbins. The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment on the basis of the partially schematic drawing.

Fig. 1 is a side view of a hand loom according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a corresponding Vorderan view; F'ig. 3 shows a detail of a connection between the backrest and one of the two side frames.

In the figures, the two light, iron .Seitenrahmen are denoted by 1, 2. The same are each provided with a bolt 3 at the flattened upper end, over which a wooden support beam 4 for the shafts 5 fits so that a manually detachable, but nevertheless strong connection is obtained. At the point where the upstanding, rear frame posts merge into the curved part, a wooden backing tree 6 is arranged, which with iron hook 7 (Fig. 3) fits into the frame Festge welded bracket 8, also to form a strong connection.

The hooks 7 can, according to the width in which one wishes to weave a certain fabric, be laid at different points along the length of the tree 6.

Third, a strong connection is formed by a wooden chest tree 9; this is in the same way as the tree 6 at the ends easily detachable by hand but still firmly connected to the side frame, while the Ha ken 7 are also adjustable. With the help of the three easily detachable wooden beams mentioned above, a sufficiently stable whole can be obtained for normal use. At the bottom, a cross connection 10 provided with corner plates 11 is releasably connected to the side frames. Depending on the work to be carried out, this connec tion can be developed to a greater or lesser extent.

On the front there is a connector 12: to provide support for the joints of the steps. If you now want to get to the shafts, you only need to take the tree 9 out of the bracket, which can easily be done by lifting it with both hands. Also by taking out the tree 6, one can step into the loom.

The steps are ver with the shafts 5 a related party and the latter are hung on rollers 14, which are hung on rollers 15 again. The returning parts of the cords guided around the pulleys 14 are connected with 16 counterparts. The connection of the shafts with the cords leading to the steps and to the rollers and counter-marches is made by means of so-called carabiners (Fr. mousquetons) so that they can be easily and quickly attached or removed.

At the back of the frame, a thread tree 17 is easily removable suspended between the side frames; it is provided with a braking device, which consists of a cord wound around the tree in three turns and suspended on it, different heavy weights (see Fig. 1), from which tree the chain over the backrest, through the shafts, over the chest tree goes to a cloth tree 18, which is rotatably and lockable in the front men in the Seitenrah.

The yarn can be wound onto the tree 17 from a number of (not presented) bobbins which are arranged on upright pins 19 fastened at an angle to the support beam 4. In this way, the yarn can be reared up quickly in a simple manner. The yarn can be held in the desired direction with one hand while the tree is rotated with the other hand.

The side frames 1, 2 are each provided with a hook 20, in which hook a stop comb, 21 is rotatably suspended for easy hand-striking of the bullet. The fact that no feet are required for this comb (possibly a drawer) saves space for the legs of the weaving person, and the loom can be relatively narrower for a certain weaving width.

The hanging comb is very suitable for light work; For heavy work, the comb can be used as a standing comb, in that the ends of the arms are then articulated in the eyelets 24 of the side frame (see the dashed line in Fig. 1).

The hand loom shown is very stable and can still be taken apart easily and quickly after use for storage or shipping. The curved part 22 of the side frame 1, 2, which extends from the string tape 6 to the supporting beam, makes it possible to set up the hand loom in upper floors un ter sloping roofs. The whole is set up on wooden beams 2,3.

After removing the twine tree, the cloth tree and the other interior work, as well as any sub-beams that may be present, you only need to remove the support beam, the backrest tree and the chest tree so that the parts together with the two light, loose side frames are in one room with limited content can be kept.

The iron side frames can be chrome-plated or nickel-plated or made entirely from aluminum and, if necessary, can be tubular to adapt to modern interiors.
