Ignition coil. The invention relates to ignition coils in which the windings are wound on an insulating tube in übli cher manner. In the known ignition coils, the high-voltage winding is usually connected by a flexible cable to the connection terminal in the ignition coil cover, which is loosely guided from the cover to the winding and soldered to a relatively thin wire led out of the winding.
With these coils, there is quite a large number of rejects during manufacture because the thin wire breaks off due to the bending or pulling of the connecting cable, which can hardly be avoided during manufacture, because it has to absorb all the forces that occur. In order to avoid this, according to the invention, the connection line of the high-voltage winding is attached to the insulating tube carrying the winding.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows part of an ignition coil in section and FIG. 2 shows a section from FIG. 1 in, enlarged scale.
With a, the iron core of the ignition coil is referred to, which is net angeord isolated in the coil. The like is surrounded by an insulating tube b on which the high voltage winding c is wound. d is the low voltage winding. The happy with the windings sits in a housing e, which is closed ver above by a cover made of insulating material. This cover carries a high voltage terminal g and low voltage terminal h.
The terminal g is connected to the high-voltage winding by a metal band i, which is fixed to the insulating tube b by means of a wire clip k (Fig. 2) which, when tightened, is pressed so deeply into the insulating tube that it is not when the core is installed disturbs.
