Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von 2-äthogy-pyridyl-5-azo-3'.5'-diaminopyridin. Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des neuen bactericid wirkenden Farbstoffes 2-Äthoxy-pyridyl-5- azo-3'.5'-diarninopyridin, das dadurch gekenn zeichnet ist, dass man diazotiertes 2-Äthoxy- 5-aminopyridin auf 3.5-Diaminopyridin ein wirken lässt. Die neue Verbindung soll als inneres Desinfektionsmittel therapeutische Verwendung finden.
Beispiel: 33 Teile 3,5-Diaminopyridin werden in Salzsäure gelöst; hierzu wird eine Lösung von 4,1 gr 2-Äthoxy-5-aminopyridin gefügt, die vorher mit 21 Teilen Natriumnitrit diazo- tiert wurde. Auf Zusatz von Natronlauge bis zur alkalischen Reaktion fällt der neue Farb stoff aus, welcher nach Umkristallisieren aus Alkohol ein orangegelbes Kristallpulver vom Smp. 2210 darstellt. Ausbeute quantitativ.

The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of the new bactericidal dye 2-ethoxy-pyridyl-5-azo-3'.5'-diarninopyridine, which is characterized in that diazotized 2-ethoxy-5-aminopyridine is 3.5- Diaminopyridine can act. The new compound is intended to be used therapeutically as an internal disinfectant.
Example: 33 parts of 3,5-diaminopyridine are dissolved in hydrochloric acid; a solution of 4.1 g of 2-ethoxy-5-aminopyridine, which was previously diazotized with 21 parts of sodium nitrite, is added to this. Upon addition of sodium hydroxide solution until an alkaline reaction occurs, the new dye precipitates, which after recrystallization from alcohol is an orange-yellow crystal powder with a melting point of 2210.
