Description

In einem solchen Fall bildet also z.

Swivel body with device for blocking it in any swivel position. The invention relates to a swivel body with a device for blocking the same (door and window sashes, swivel rolls on beds, serving tables, sick lifts, etc.) in any swivel position.

In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject of the invention in application to a swivel castor of a mobile piece of furniture, cart or the like. Shown by Fig. 1 in axial section traction organs leading to the individual devices.

a (Fig.1) is a supported on an equiaxed lower tube b, a leg of a furniture, car or the like. Forming tube. Inside the tube b, a disc c is attached, which benfeder a arranged under her strong screw d serves as an abutment. This spring d rests on an axially displaceable ble in the tube, but not rotatable piston e, which is connected to a flexible tension member f (z. B. thin wire rope or the like.) The z. B. can be connected in the manner indicated by Fig. 2 to the pivot g of a hand lever h.

The piston e is usually in engagement with a pipe socket k by means of a claw ring i provided on its lower end face, which connects the upper part of the bearing body 1 of the roller m < / I> forms. The pipe socket k can be rotated about the pipe b supported on it by means of balls v, but not axially displaceable in it. The piston e is guided with a thinner part n in the connecting piece k . Between it and the collar p of a bolt q slidably guided in the bearing body l, a helical spring o is switched on, which is slightly weaker than the spring d.

Another, even weaker helical spring r lies below the collar p on the bottom of the connecting piece k. The bolt q is articulated by means of a pin s to a brake shoe t, which about a pin u mounted in the bearing body 1 . In the illustrated mutual position of the parts described, the bearing body k, l is prevented from pivoting because of its coupling with the piston e caused by the claw ring i , that is, it is blocked and also the roller m secured against rotation as a result of the pressure of the spring o on the bolt p and thus on the brake shoe t.

Is by means of the pulling element f, so z. B. by turning the hand lever h by perhaps 90, the piston e is lifted and thus decoupled from the pipe socket k, so not only the bearing body k, l is free for a rotary movement in the pipe b, but because of the relaxation the spring o, the bolt q is relieved, so that the spring r can lift the brake shoe t from the roller m.

There are mobile hospital beds known in which the roles are arranged next to the legs in such a way that the mutual height between role and leg can be changed and the bed must be raised or lowered, depending on the legs or the roles the ground should come to a standstill. This lifting and lowering is sometimes felt uncomfortable by sensitive patients and it also requires considerable strength. In addition, the arrangement of legs and rollers close to each other is a hindrance to cleaning the floor. These inconveniences are avoided in a very simple manner with a bed which is supported on swivel castors in the manner described and shown, without any impairment of mobility on the one hand and the stable position of the bed on the other hand.

The load on the bed is irrelevant for the operation of the device described. With the exception of the roller and its bearing, all moving parts are built in, so there are only a few areas where dust and damage can be attacked. Also, the hydraulic devices used in certain known devices serving a similar purpose fall away when using the device shown.

In the same way, as in the Darge presented and described device, the caster m can use a different swivel body for another purpose, z. B. a door or window sash in any pivot position, so be determined at any opening angle. In such a case, z. B. the tube b, which can engage in a part of the wing below, the fixed, the pipe socket carried by the wing k the rotatable part of the tang.

The wire rope f can bezw to the window handle. be guided to the door latch in such a way that with the opening movement of the handle or the latch, the piston e is lifted and automatically decoupled from the pipe socket k, whereas when it is released, respectively. If the handle or latch is turned back, the clutch i is engaged and the wing is blocked in the current position. The springs o and r and the bolt q are omitted in such application forms.
