Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 109154. Verfahren zur Ilerstelluug eines komplex gebundenes Metall enthaltenden Farbstoffes, Es wurde gefunden, dass ein komplex gebundenes Metall enthaltender Farbstoff hergestellt werden kann, wenn man den Farbstoff der Formel

ein kupferabgebendes Mittel und Glykokoll aufeinander einwirken lässt.
Der erhaltene Farbstoff stellt ein wasser lösliches, rotes Pulver dar, das Leder in roten Tönen färbt.
Eine zweckmässige Ausführungsform des Verfahrens besteht darin, dass zuerst durch Umsetzung von Glykokoll mit einem kupfer abgebenden Mittel das Kupfersalz des Glyko- kolls hergestellt und letzteres mit dem Farb stoff umgesetzt wird; Glykokollkupfer hydro- lysiert in alkalischer Lösung nicht oder nur wenig und kann deshalb in alkalischen Me dien zur Anwendung gelangen.
In-i ferneren kann das Verfahren auch derart durchgeführt werden, dass auf den Farbstoff, der unter Verwendung der üblichen kupferabgebenden Mittel, wie z. B. Kupfer sulfat, in die Kupferverbindung übergeführt worden ist, Glykokoll einwirken gelassen wird.

Auflage, Nr. 1145) werden in<B>1000</B> Tei len Wasser von<B>800</B> mit 12 Teilen CrlykoT kollkupfer versetzt, worauf sich sofort die weinrote Lösung der komplexen Glykokoll- kupferverbindung des Farbstoff es bildet. Diese kann durch Eindampfen im Vakuum isoliert werden.

An expedient embodiment of the method consists in that the copper salt of the glycol is first produced by reacting glycoll with a copper-releasing agent and the latter is reacted with the dye; Glycocopper hydrolyzes only slightly or not at all in alkaline solutions and can therefore be used in alkaline media.
Furthermore, the method can also be carried out in such a way that the dye, which is produced using the usual copper-donating agents, such as. B. copper sulfate, has been converted into the copper compound, glycocoll is allowed to act.
