Gasmaske.
Gas mask. We already know gas masks with a bag to be pulled over the head and to be narrowed at the neck, on which a gas filter, possibly also an air outlet valve, is attached. The bags of such gas masks are usually made, for example, of canvas, but in any case of such an opaque material that the insertion of windows at the eyes of the bag is absolutely necessary, which increases the production price of such a bag and thus the gas mask itself significantly .
The purpose of the present invention is to create the cheapest possible gas mask of the type mentioned above, which can be used at least as an emergency, which is achieved according to the invention in that the above-mentioned bag of the gas mask in its entirety consists of transparent, tough and yet pliable Material such as B. cellulose material is made. In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
Fig. 1 shows the gas mask in a side view in the state of use, and Fig. 2 shows the same, on a larger scale and in a front view, in the non-use state.
A denotes the bag of the gas mask that is pulled over the head and is slightly rounded at the top, which is provided on its slip-in end part with a reinforcing tape a1 (for example a glued-on Isäplast tape) through which a cord b is drawn in a serpentine manner is in order to be able to tie the sack a put over the head at the neck, as shown in FIG. The sack a consists in its entirety of a transparent, paper-like material which is tough and yet pliable.
A suitable material that has the properties just mentioned is transparent cellulose material, in particular, for example, the product known under the name "Cellux". A gas filter c of known construction is attached approximately halfway up the sack a, and an outlet valve d for the exhaled air is immediately below it. The two organs c and d are expediently attached to the sack a using a reinforcing flap a2 glued to the outside of the sack a.
When the gas mask is in use, it is advisable to attach the sack a slipped over the head to the head by means of a belt-shaped (possibly elastic) fastening element e in the manner shown in FIG. 1 in order to avoid the "harmful space" in the sack rz, in which the exhaled air collects to be kept as small as possible. It is also advisable to manufacture the sack a from more than one material layer, that is to say from two or more than two individual pockets from the above-mentioned material to be pushed into one another, in order to make the sack more resistant.
In order to protect the bag of the gas mask described at least to some extent in use, in particular against fire or other damage, a protective cover made of fireproof, more or less pliable material, for example As, can be provided over the same with a recess corresponding to the boundary of the face , be put inside.
