Description

Product intended to assemble objects by gluing. The glues currently used to assemble objects such as sheets of paper are, in general, contained in 'containers where they are liable to deteriorate; other glues are advantageously stored in metal tubes from which they are only extracted when they are used, by pressing these tubes brushes are used to spread them which dry and are rarely in good condition or within reach by hand, when necessary. Further, these glues and brushes are not conveniently portable and occasionally usable.

The product intended to assemble objects by gluing, which is the subject of the present invention, makes it possible to remedy the drawbacks indicated above; it is characterized in that it consists of a material of very low thickness, in a sheet comprising a layer of adhesive material on each of its faces.

This product consists, for example, of a sheet of paper or fabric, both sides of which are covered with an adhesive material, such as natural gum, this sheet then being either cut into strips to form a roll, or cut into similar pieces which are then bound into notebooks; in the latter case, each piece or sheet may have one or more longitudinal or transverse lines of perforations making it possible to easily detach an element of dimensions appropriate to those of the objects to be assembled.

The aforementioned product may also consist of a fabric whose two faces have undergone a plating of a sticky substance such as dextrin or natural gum; this fabric can also be sold either in rolls or in notebooks.

The sheet product, both sides of which have an adhesive material, is used instead of the layer of glue that was interposed until now between the surfaces of the bodies that it was desired to join; it can in particular be advantageously used to assemble sheets of paper, it is easily transportable, of indefinite storage and does not require any preparation at the time of its use.
