Description

Druckgas-Leistungsschalter.

Compressed gas circuit breaker. The subject of the invention is a pressurized gas line switch with arc quenching by flowing gas, which is cleared when switching off by the arc heat from the gas-emitting walls of the switch room.

For such a switch has already been proposed to let the hot switching gases escape from the interrupter in a pressure-resistant, many times larger space, which is only connected to the outside air through small openings. One achieves there by-an effective cooling and a more directed blowing out of the hot and often conductive switching gases.

As a result, the isolation distances between. the individual NEN switch poles of a multi-pole switch and between these and other voltage-carrying and grounded parts of the switchgear are reduced, which is naturally of great advantage for the production of such switches in terms of "small dimensions and material savings. In addition, the sometimes . Noise and> fire appearances perceived as annoying when switching off the switches.

In the designs already proposed, the arrangement is such that the blow chamber connects to the open end of the interrupter and carries the outlet openings for the hot switching gases into the outside air on its side opposite the mouth of the interrupter.

However, this results in relatively long extinguishing devices, especially when the movable switching element is also intended to form an externally visible air separation section when the switch is open. As a result, these switches have a bulky design, the placement of which in the switching rooms that have already been used for other switches sometimes causes difficulties.

In the switch according to the invention, in which the interrupter also opens into a blower chamber which is only connected to the outside air through openings which are small in relation to the blower chamber, an improvement is achieved in this respect in that the interrupter with its blower end in the blow chamber protrudes in such a way that the blow stream is deflected and swirled,

before it passes into the outside air through the outlet openings in the blow chamber wall with respect to the interrupter.

This design of the extinguishing device has numerous advantages. By sliding the blow chamber and switching tube into one another, there is initially a favorable reduction in the overall height of the extinguishing system.

Furthermore, as soon as it leaves the arc section, the blow stream is deflected and loses a large part of its flow energy; this reduces the pressure loads on the blow chamber. The gas is still swirled in the blow chamber and then exits at reduced speed through the openings in the blow chamber into the ambient air. The arrangement of several outlet openings, for.

   B. in the form of slots or bores (bores and slots can have the shape of a nozzle), has the advantage that the hot switching gases can be introduced into the ambient air in a shower-like manner and thereby cooled down, so that the switching gases can be released shortly after they have passed through the outside air can be deionized to the extent that flashovers are avoided.

It is advantageous to choose the conditions so that the movable switching contact, which passes through a bore in the blow chamber wall, only releases this opening in the blow chamber when the extinguishing process has already ended.

With large breaking capacities of the switch, the means indicated above are no longer sufficient to eliminate the noise and fire phenomena. Rather, various additional measures have to be taken in these blow chambers.

These can consist, for example, in that the lateral outlet openings in the blow chamber wall are formed as horizontally extending slots which are preferably directed obliquely upwardly opposite to the open end of the interrupter. which are arranged at a certain minimum distance from each other.

The first consequence of this is that the flames that come out of the switch when very high currents are switched off do not unite to form a common fire jet, but that the flames emerging from the individual slots immediately through the air entering between the slots and carried along by the gas jet are cooled down far enough that they remain as individual tongues. This greatly reduces the appearance of fire.

These can be suppressed even more if one continues to place an organ dividing the gas jet on the inside of the blow chamber in front of the wall part provided with outlet slots, e.g.

   B. attaches a cushion made of fine-meshed metal, preferably copper gauze. Due to its large metallic surface, this causes a strong cooling of the hot switching gases and at the same time prevents the flames from striking outwards in the manner of the known safety lamps.

Finally, the bottom of the blow chamber opposite the blow end of the switching tube can also be designed in such a way that it simultaneously serves as a guide surface for the hot switching gases emerging and deflects them away from the passage opening of the bias chamber for the movable switching pin,

so that no fire phenomena occur at this blow chamber opening. Such a training is particularly advantageous

if the interrupter is provided with an intermediate blowout. The switching gases leaving the intermediate blowing space are then also diverted from the passage opening of the blowing chamber by the gas guide surfaces on the blowing chamber floor.

Two embodiments of the subject of the invention are. shown on .the drawing, namely Fig. 1 shows a section, while Fig. 2,

A three-pole switch equipped with the one according to FIG. 31 can be seen schematically, and FIG. 3 shows a safety chamber for switches with high isolation capacities.

In Fig. 1, the interrupter consists of the cylindrical piece 2 made of gas-emitting material, in which concentrically the pin is arranged, which is made of insulating material, and expediently also; from a gas-emitting in the arc heat.

The tube 2 is at her. upper. End through a lid. 4 completed, which leaves enough space to accommodate the fixed switch contact and to which the insulating bolt 3 'is also attached.

The thus created: interrupter 1 protrudes with its blowing end relatively deep into a pressure-resistant blowing chamber 6, which has a number of fine lateral openings 7, as well as a bore 8 for the passage of the moving switching contact 9,

which in the exemplary embodiment is designed as a pipe contact. The insulating bolt 3 engaging in the cavity of the pipe contact .9 is expediently lengthened to such an extent that its free end still protrudes a little from the blow chamber bore.

The blowing chamber 6 and the interrupter 1 are preferably connected to one another in such a way that the interrupter can easily be replaced. For convenient replacement of the interrupter 1, it is also advantageous if

As shown in FIG. 2, the support insulators 10 of the switching frame 11 do not attack the switching tubes 1, but which they carry the blow chambers 6.

In the exemplary embodiments, the blow chambers 6 have a rectangular cross-section. It is of course also possible to make the blow chambers spherical, which is advantageous with regard to the compressive strength.

If you want as little distance as possible. reach the individual poles, it is advisable to give the Bla.s- chambers an oval or similarly shaped cross-section. Insulating materials as well as metals come into consideration as material for the blow chambers.

If the latter are used, it must be ensured that the air gap h between the upper edge of the blow chamber 6 and the lower edge of the cover 4, if this is also made of metal, corresponds to the operating voltage of the holder. Insulation value does not fall below.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, 2 means the "switching tube made of gas-emitting material, one end of which is closed by the contact chamber 4 containing the fixed switching contact, while the other end protrudes into .die blowing chamber 6 with, for example, a round cross-section which Has lateral outlet openings 7.

A filler pin 3 made of insulating material is provided concentrically to the switching tube 2 and engages in a known manner in the cavity of the tubular, movable switching piece 9. The holding tube 2 is subdivided by two-way blowing openings 10 in such a way that

that the piece of pipe lying between the fixed contact and the intermediate bias opening has the length required to extinguish large currents, while both pipe pieces together give the pipe length required for extinguishing small currents. A blowing space 11 leads from the intermediate blowing openings 10 into the blowing chamber 6.

The lateral openings 7 of the blow chamber 6 are preferably designed as horizontally extending slots which have a certain minimum distance 12 from one another. This ensures that air can pass between the individual gas jets that come out of the slots during the shutdown processes and are mixed in with flames, whereby these are cooled down to the extent that

that a collision of the individual rays no longer occurs. It is useful here to give the slots an upwardly inclined course, since this avoids endangering the operating personnel.

Furthermore, in the blow chamber 6, in front of the wall part carrying the outlet slits 7, there is an organ 13 which divides the gas jet and which here consists of several strips of copper gauze layered closely together. The organ 13 can of course also be formed differently and consist of other materials that dissipate heat well. For example, Raschig rings can also be used. When the hot gas jets hit the organ 13, they experience a strong cooling from and the flames are also relocated to the outside.

Finally, the bottom 14 of the blow chamber 6 is designed so that it has a guide surface 15 for the or from the blow end of the switching tube 2. Forms switching gases emerging from the intermediate blowing space 11. Through this guide surface, as can be readily seen from the drawing, the gases striking the floor from the blow openings of the interrupter tube are deflected away from the passage opening 8 for the movable switching member 9 so that they pass through the outlet openings since the blow chamber must pass through and be subject to the aforementioned effects.

In particular, the switching gases leaving the intermediate blowing space 11 through the guide surfaces 15 on the blowing chamber bottom 14 effectively opens the blowing space, which is only connected to the outside air through openings that are small in relation to the blowing space, characterized in that the switching tube (2) with its blowing end in the blow chamber (6) protrudes in such a way that the blow stream is deflected and swirled,

before it passes through the openings (7) into the outside air through the side openings (7) in the blow chamber wall with respect to the interrupter (2).
