Iron with permanent internal gas heating # especially for low pressure gases. In the known irons with permanent, that is to say continuously active internal gas heating while the iron is in use, the iron body has since Liche holes for the extraction of the heating gases or for the ventilation of the burner. If the gas-air mixture is improperly mixed, it is common for the flame to come out of these holes, creating the risk of fire and injury.
The rise of the still warm exhaust gases from the side holes results in an uncomfortable warming of the handle for the operation.
These disadvantages are remedied by means of the iron according to the present invention, in that the heating gases pass through the rear faceplate of the iron after flowing through a distributor and the heat dissipation to the iron body. This iron thus has no side holes for the exit of the exhaust gases. So that the burner, which is arranged in the interior of the distributor, can be ignited, the iron body can have a closable opening which is arranged such that an igniter guided through it reaches the burner.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown on the basis of an example, namely FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the iron in section along line II of FIG. 2, FIG. 2 shows a plan the same, cut along the line H-II of FIG. 1, FIG. 3, a cross section through the iron along the line III-III of FIG. 1,
FIG. 311 shows a top view of the detail containing the ignition hole and FIG. 4 shows a view of the iron in the direction of the arrow A. <shown in FIG. 1 / B>
With 1 is a one-piece iron body, that is the body that has the ironing surface and is coated by the heating gases, which is closed at the rear by the end plate 2. The gas supply line, at the end of which the burner 3 is connected, leads through the front plate.
In the upper half of the face plate 2 there are two holes 2a for a fresh air occurs. The lower half of the front plate 2 has two further openings 2b also provided for the entry of fresh air.
The distributor 4, within which the named burner 3 is located, connects to the Stirti plate 2. As can be seen, the openings 2a and 2b open directly into the distributor. Two other openings 2c in the face plate located outside the distributor are used for the exhaust gases to escape. Since the distributor 4 adjoins the face plate 2 tightly, the exhaust gases cannot get into the burner space. The train of heating gases and fresh air is indicated by arrows.
The iron body 1 has an ignition opening la (FIGS. 3 and 3a) which can be closed by a flap lb. The approach 4a on the distributor 4, through which the ignition hole is passed, which closes against the iron body, is intended to prevent exhaust gases from entering the burner chamber.
The iron body 1 is advantageously made from one piece. The shape of the openings for the fresh air and for the exhaust gases in the rear end plate can deviate as much as desired from that of the example shown; Another United distribution of these openings is easily imaginable. Should it prove expedient to attach a slide or regulating screw to change the cross section of these openings, this would be very easy to do.
It would also be possible to use the openings for the Abgage or for the fresh air supply. instead of in a separate faceplate, in a rear wall that forms a uniform whole with the iron body. The designation end plate should also include this special case.
