Le fonctionnement de cette forme d'exé cution est le suivant: Partons de la position de repos, indiquée en traits pleins dans la fig. 3: le ressort- moteur, se détendant, fait tourner le pignon 8 et, par conséquent, la came I5 dans le sens de la flèche;
l'extrémité lla @du levier 11, que le ressort 14 applique contre la rampe de la came 15, suit celle-ci, ce qui fait pivoter le levier 11 autour de l'arbre 12 et tend à dégager la butée 13 de la butée fige 16;
La came 15, pourvue d'un flanc radial 15e et d'un ergot 15d tourne avec le pignon 8 autour de l'axe 7 lors de la détente du ressort 9;
Pendant ce mouvement, la came 30 reste immobile; le coulisseau, tout en tournant autour de la came et par suite de l'excentricité de celle-ci, est repoussé dans sa position primitive de ma nière qu'en arrivant en position indiquée en traits mixtes, l'extrémité 27 a repris une po sition telle qu'elle -vienne en contact avec la butée fixe l'7;
Electric timepiece. The object of the present invention is an electric timepiece in which an electromagnet winds a spring. This part is characterized by two moving parts, rotating around the same axis and elastically coupled by the spring --- motor, the first of which is actuated by the electromagnet and winds this spring and the second of which, actuated by the relaxation of this spring, controls the cog,
by a stop device which makes it possible to immobilize the first mobile at predetermined positions to prevent the spring from being wound up too much and by a cam integral in rotation with the second mobile and which, when the spring has relaxed from a predefined quantity finished, acts on the stop device mentioned above to allow reassembly.
The accompanying drawing gives, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the first embodiment of which FIG. 2 is an elevation; 1a, fig. 3 is a plan view, on a larger scale, of a detail, FIGS. 4 and 5 are plan views of variations of the aforementioned detail.
Figs. 6 and 7 are respectively a plan view and a section through VII-VII of FIG. 6 on a large scale of the second embodiment.
The embodiment shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 comprises a frame 1 on which is mounted an electromagnet 2 whose armature 3 pushes, by means of a pawl 4, a ratchet wheel 5, always in the same direction. The return of the wheel 5 is prevented by a pawl 6 fixed on the frame 1. The ratchet wheel 5 is fixed on an axis 7 rotating in pivots, not shown, of the frame, me in the turn of which turns crazy a pinion 8 (fig. 2) meshing with a wheel 10 which may be the wheel, the center of the movement.
The rocker wheel 5 and the pinion 8 are elastically coupled by the helical spring 9 fixed at 9a to the wheel and at 9b to the pinion and which is the mainspring of the movement.
The ratchet wheel 5 carries, rotatably mounted on a shaft 12, a lever 11 actuated by a spring 14, fixed on the wheel in such a way that its end 11a constantly bears on a cam 15, while its other end, provided with a stop 13, comes into contact, in the rest position of the wheel 5 with one of the stops 16 or 17,
diametrically opposed and fixed to the frame.
The cam 15 is integral in rotation with the pinion 8 and rotates with it around the axis 7. It is provided with a ramp 15a, the two ends of which are connected by a side wall 15b.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: Let us start from the rest position, indicated in solid lines in fig. 3: the mainspring, relaxing, turns the pinion 8 and, consequently, the cam I5 in the direction of the arrow;
the end 11a of the lever 11, which the spring 14 applies against the ramp of the cam 15, follows the latter, which causes the lever 11 to pivot around the shaft 12 and tends to release the stop 13 from the stop freeze 16;
the movement of relaxation of the mainspring 9 will continue until the moment when, the stop 13 leaving the stop 16 (position in dotted lines), the wheel 5 is free and can rotate in the direction of the arrow under the action of the pawl 4 integral with the frame 3.
The frame 3 constantly tends to push the ratchet wheel under the action of the leaf spring 3a on which it is fixed; the start of the wheel 5 allows the armature 3 to come into contact with the screw 3b and thus closes the circuit of the coil of the electromagnet 2; the armature is then attracted, leaves the screw 3b, cuts the current and returns to the screw 3b, driving the pawl 4 which engages with one of the following teeth of the wheel 5.
The process continues until the moment when the stop 13 of the pawl 11 meets the fixed stop 17 (position in phantom) and stops the winding of the mainspring, from this moment the relaxation of the mainspring 9 resumes. and turns the cam 15 which rotates the lever 11 and so on.
During the period of relaxation of the mainspring, the coil of the electromagnet does not remain under current, because during the last click of the pawl which brought the stop 13 on the stop 17, the contact 3-3b is closed, the armature has been attracted, the pawl 4 has engaged, but the movement of the wheel 5 can no longer occur, the armature remains separated from the screw 3b and, loaded by the spring 3a,
ready for a new start.
If the current supplying the electromagnet fails, the spring cannot, however, relax beyond a certain limit, because the radial flank 15b of the cam will abut against the end 11a of the lever 11 and the movement relaxation will be stopped; the reassembly will take place as soon as the current reappears.
These various arrangements, together with the fact that the spring 9 is provided with an initial winding for the assembly of the watch, make it possible to make the mainspring work in such a way that it gives a practically constant force during the period of relaxation, thus achieving the best operating conditions for the watch.
The variant, shown in FIG. 4, com takes a lever 11, pivoting around its shaft 12; this lever is arranged such that in the rest position of the wheel 5, biased by the spring 14, it rests on the stop 18. the end of its arm 11b coming to be placed on the path of the face 15c of the cam 15, while its other arm carrying a stop llc comes to rest against the fixed stop 16 (position indicated in solid lines).
The cam 15, provided with a radial flank 15th and a lug 15d rotates with the pinion 8 around the axis 7 during the relaxation of the spring 9;
its side 15th pushes the end of the arm 11b of the lever 11 to the position, indicated in dotted lines, in which the stop 11e releases from the fixed stop 16. Reassembly can take place up to 'so that the lever 11 arrives in the position indicated in phantom lines in which, the cam no longer acting on the end of the arm 11b, the stop 11c comes into contact with the stop 17 and stops the reassembly.
The relaxation of the spring, as in the first embodiment, can not be followed beyond a certain limit in the event that the current is lacking, because the lug 15d abuts against the pin 19 fixed in the wheel and stop the movement.
The variant, shown in FIG. 5, com takes a fork-shaped lever 21, pi voted in 22 on the frame, above the wheel 5 and arranged so that the stops 23 and 24, which are provided at the two ends of the fork, are diametrically opposite with respect to the center of the wheel 5 and that they then alternately feels come to be placed on the path of a stop 20 carried by the. wheel 5, when it turns in the direction of the arrow.
The cam 15, placed inside the fork, is dimensioned in such a way that, in its rotational movement when the spring is released, it comes to bear against the internal sides of the fork and causes the latter to pivot around the axis 22 so as to release the stop 23 or 24 alternately from the stop 20 and thus allow the spring to be reassembled.
A pin 19 stops the movement of the cam 15 and thus prevents excessive relaxation of the spring in the event that, the current supplied to both the electromagnet failing, reassembly does not occur.
Let us start from position I, in which the stop 20 is in contact with the stop 23; the release of the spring rotates the cam in the direction of the arrow and gradually rotates the lever 21 to the position indicated in dotted lines, in which the stop 23 has escaped the stop 20; reassembly takes place and brings the stop 20 to the position indicated in phantom lines, where it comes into contact with the stop 24; winding stops.
The spring begins to relax again and turns the cam which, causing the lever 21 to pivot, the ra leads to its position indicated in solid lines, which causes the stop 24 to escape from the stop 20; the reassembly takes place and brings the stop 20 into its original position where it is stopped by the stop 23 and so on. The embodiment, shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, comprises the same elements 1 to 10 as the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 3.
It also has a slide 25 formed of a circular part provided with two extensions 27 and 28, of unequal length, which can slide between guides 29 fixed on the wheel 5; the slide 25 also has a housing 26 between the walls of which the cam 30 is placed without play; this cam, in the form of an eccentric, is driven onto an extension 32 of the sleeve 31 carrying the pinion 8 and mounted idle on the axis 7.
The cam 30 is therefore integral with the pinion 8 and rotates with it. The wheel 5 and the sleeve 31 are elastically coupled by the spring 9 which is attached to the sleeve at 9b and @ to the wheel 5 at 33, for example, on one of the guides 29 mentioned above.
The extensions 27 and 28 of the slide are arranged so that one of their faces is located exactly on a diameter of the wheel 5; the extension 27 is of a length such that its end can come into contact with the fixed stop 16 in the rest position of the wheel 5 (FIG. 6). The eccentricity of the cam 30 is sufficient so that, in the back and forth movement that it impresses on the slide, the end 27 can be released from the stop 16.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: Let us start from the rest position, shown in solid lines in FIG. 6: the mainspring relaxes, the cam rotates and drives the bucket slide to the right until the end 27 is released from the fixed stop 16 (position indicated in dotted lines); the reassembly takes place, the wheel 5 turns in the direction of the arrow, driving the slide.
During this movement, the cam 30 remains stationary; the slide, while rotating around the cam and as a result of the eccentricity of the latter, is pushed back into its original position so that, when arriving at the position indicated in phantom, the end 27 has taken up a po position such that it comes into contact with the fixed stop 7;
winding is stopped, the spring release resumes and the cam drives the slide to the left until 27 escapes, 17; winding takes place, the wheel and the slide rotate to the original position where the movement is stopped by the stop 16, and so on.
