Description

Die in Sternform ge schalteten Transformatorwicklungen <I>a</I><B>...</B><I>f</I> und a'...<I>f'</I> stimmen mit den entsprechend bezeichneten Wicklungen der Abb. 4 über ein.

Method and arrangement for the operation of elastic converters. Converters have become known that are limited to natural commutation. All these arrangements have in common the rigid or only abruptly variable phase position of the generated converter output voltage.

In order to be able to realize elastic operation, in addition to natural commutation, compulsory commutation by means of a special additional commutation device =. Capacitor or resonant circuit - provided,

whereby, for better utilization in the case of multiple converters, a single additional commutation device was used for commutation of several or all of the partial converters. Due to the combined natural and forced commutation, the grid control device of the converter is extremely complicated. The converter voltages generated in this way are approximately rectangular or trapezoidal with zero pieces in between.

In all previously known converter methods, the one-sided requirement was made to keep the secondary distortion power as small as possible and to achieve the best possible approximation of the generated curve shape to the sinusoidal shape. No consideration whatsoever was given to the effect on the primary network and the primary distortion power.

According to the invention, all commutations are now Liche - z. B. by means of a capacitor or an oscillating circuit - carried out as forced commutation and the commutation points of the individual discharge paths determined by the intersection of the inverse voltage half-waves of the primary voltage with the secondary voltage,

whereby the primary or secondary distortion power approaches the optimally achievable minimum (apparent load // 2) even without the use of smoothing agents. One steers according to the specified procedure. off, the polyphase primary network is loaded completely symmetrically regardless of the secondary required reactive load with a low ripple of the output voltage. At the same time, the shift factor of the primary network remains permanently equal to one due to the symmetrical modulation of the individual primary phase voltages and is also independent of the secondary power factor.

Since all commutations are performed as forced commutations, the complicated grid control caused by the two different types is avoided. The implementation of the method according to the invention, that is, the formation of the intersection of the inverse primary voltage with the secondary voltage, takes place by means of auxiliary discharge paths which are arranged in several stages to control the grid of the main discharge paths.

The essence of the invention is to be explained in more detail using the following examples. Fig. 1 shows the basic circuit of a multiple converter that connects the three-phase network 1 with the single-phase network 2 ver. The discharge paths 3 <B> ... </B> 11 are current-permeable in both directions, and can be switched on and off by a control of any type (grid control, switching drums, etc.); If the control cannot delete the discharge, an additional commutation device is provided.

The three partial converters <I> A, B </I> and C form the three partial voltages that generate the phase voltage in the cascaded windings of the transformers 12, 13 and 14. The partial converters consist of the two discharge paths 3 respectively 6, 9 and 5 respectively. 8, 11, as well as the zero point discharge paths 4, 7, 10 and the associated single-phase transformers 12, 13 and 14. The switching times of the discharge paths 3 <B> ... </B> 11 are shown in Fig. 2.

The solid curve 15 represents the voltage generated by the first converter converter in the transformer 12. The respectively by the burning of the discharge paths 3. 5 generated tension pieces are hatched and corresponding with 3 respectively. 5 designated.

Discharge path 3 burns with t2 ... t2, discharge path 5 burns from t "<I>... </I> t °. In the meantime (t # a <B> ... </B> t3 etc. ) The zero point discharge path is burning. The voltage curves in the transformers 13 and 14, which are labeled 16 and 17 in Fig. 2, are built up accordingly.

The burning time of the discharge path 3 (t1 ... t2) is determined by the intersection of the triangular voltage 18 with the strongly extended serrated curve 19 be. The triangular voltage 18 has the zero crossings and the maxima at the same point as the desired sinusoidal voltage that is to be approximately generated by the converter. The curve 19 is, so to speak, in phase opposition to the voltage U ″, and here too the sinusoidal voltage has been converted into a triangular curve for the purpose of simplifying the illustration.

The burning time for the discharge path 5 results from the intersections of the curve 18 with the thinly drawn curve pieces 20. These are also in phase opposition to U5; the burning times for the remaining discharge paths are analogous. Curve 21 represents the resulting converter voltage, that is to say the sum of the partial voltages 15, 16 and 17. The voltage curve 21 follows the desired sine curve very closely. The lowest harmonic has the frequency 6f, -7f, and only has an amplitude of about 7% of the fundamental wave.

The curves in Fig. 2 show that the start of the discharge gap always occurs before the maximum value of the primary phase voltage. If the instantaneous value of the secondary nominal voltage is small, then the burning time of the discharge path assigned to the primary phase voltage will also only be short. The discharge path is then released only shortly before the voltage maximum and its burning time also ends shortly after the voltage maximum. When converting from a higher frequency to a lower one, each primary half-wave is only switched to the secondary network once.

Only in the event that the zero crossing of the secondary nominal voltage coincides with the maximum of the relevant primary voltage half-wave does the burning time of the discharge path associated with this phase become zero, that is, the relevant voltage half-wave is ignored. Due to the weather-symmetrical control of the individual primary phase voltages, the shift factor of the primary network remains permanently equal to one.

In Fig. 3, the curves 18, 19 and 20 are plotted again, namely this time curve 18 - the secondary target voltage - shown as a pure sine curve. The same intersection points of nominal voltage 18 with voltages 19 and 20 obtained in Fig. 2 with a purely sinusoidal nominal voltage 18 are obtained, even if voltages 19 and 20, which have the frequency of the primary network, as indicated in Fig is sinusoidal.

Curve 19 is strong, curve 20 is weak. The through Fig. 2 respectively. Theoretical given in Fig. 3. The position of the intersection of the curve 18 with the curves 1.9 and 20 can also be shifted somewhat without the voltage curve generated changing much. For example, if it is desired to generate a non-sinusoidal curve, a triangular curve, as in Fig. 2, can be obtained.

In particular, the amplitude of the curves 18 in Fig. 2 respectively. 3, which - due to the shifting of the intersection points - also reduces the rms value of the voltage generated by the converter, i.e. it is possible to regulate the voltage level. The same effect can be achieved by increasing the amplitude of curves 18 and 19 in FIG. Fig. 3 can be obtained.

The resulting stress 21 (Fig. 2) is formed from three partial stresses; the voltage summation takes place in the transformers 12, 13 and 14. The zero point discharge paths are used to generate the zero pieces shown in curve 21. Instead of these three partial converters, you can also arrange a single converter with a multi-phase, secondary three-phase current transformer, which must have the stepped phase windings shown in Fig. 4.

The three-phase transformer 22 has six windings with a center tap and six further windings without a tap, each of which is phase-shifted by <B> 30 '</B>. To all these taps respectively. Ends of the windings, as well as at the common zero point, discharge paths are connected, which are arranged in a common vessel 23.

The resulting voltage 21 (Fig. 2) can easily be obtained by means of two partial converters, the circuit of which is shown in Fig. 5. The transformer windings <I>a</I><B>...</B> <I> f </I> and a '... <I> f' </I>, which are connected in star form, match the correspondingly designated windings of Fig. 4 over a.

It can be seen that all the voltages given in Fig. 4 can be formed by adding the two partial voltages. In order to obtain half the total voltage of these two partial converters in the single-phase network 2, these partial converters are connected to the single-phase network via the suction transformer 24.

If you do not tap the suction transformer exactly in the middle, you have to keep the voltages of the right one in order to maintain the same single-phase voltage. of the left transformer star. In particular, through a suitable selection of the tap, one can achieve that the at the stars a <B>...</B> <I> f </I> and a '. . . f 'have the same phase voltages.

Fig. 6 shows the circuit of a three-phase converter with a zero point discharge path. The three-phase network 1 is connected to the A phase network 2 via the three-phase transformer 22, the three Ent charge paths 26, 27 and 28 and the zero point discharge path 29. The discharge stretches 26, 27, 28 and 29 should be permeable in both directions and can be ignited and extinguished by the control.

In Fig. 7, the sinusoidal anode voltages of 26, 27 and 28 are also labeled 26, 27 and 28. The ignition and extinction times of the individual discharge stretches is given by the intersection of the control voltage 18 with the triangular voltages 26 ', 27' and 28 '. The one phase voltage is made up of these curve pieces, in conjunction with the zero pieces generated by the zero point discharge paths. Of these, the triangular voltage 26 ', which belongs to the vessel 26, is clearly shown. N-phase converters can be controlled in a similar way.

Fig. 8 shows an example of how to control a single-phase converter with a zero point discharge path and stepped phase voltages. Fig. 8 shows the circuit and the single-phase voltage curve. The anode voltages belonging to the discharge paths 31 to 34 are also labeled 31 to 34.

The single-phase voltage 36 arises according to the intersections of the triangular single-phase voltage 18 with the corresponding control cams 31 'to 34'. Fig. 9 shows the curves for the case that the voltage generated by the converter has a higher frequency than the primary voltage. The names are the same as in Fig.B.

In the case of multi-phase converters, the setpoint voltage curve 18 in Figs. 2 to 9 must be recorded with a corresponding phase shift in accordance with the phases -in-times. With the new intersections, you get the various secondary phases accordingly. It can happen that different intersections coincide in time. This means that two secondary phases must be commutated at the same time.

If a commutation device is present, both commutations can therefore be carried out at once with a single commutation device, as will be described below.

In the other examples, it will now be shown how the inventive concept can be realized with today's switching means. Fig. 10 shows the complete circuit and control of a partial converter according to Fig. 1. The discharge paths 3, 4 and 5 correspond to those in Fig. 1. In a known manner, the discharge paths 3 'to 5' are parallel to the discharge paths in opposite directions 3 to 5 switched. These discharge paths 3 'to 5' are controlled at the same time as the discharge paths 3 to 5, so that the corresponding grids can be connected to one another. The control of the discharge paths can only cause the ignition, but not extinguish it.

In order to still be able to carry out the gommutation at any moment, known means for forced commutation are provided, for example a capacitor 38 and a choke 39. Only the primary winding 12 of the single-phase transformer 12 (Fig. 1) is shown in Fig. 10 . The grid control is set up in a known manner. With all converter controls, it has proven to be useful to set up the control in three stages, which are labeled 40, 41 and 42 in Fig. 10.

The first stage 40 contains vapor discharge paths that work on the type of inverter. The second stage 41 ent holds discharge paths with essentially pure electron discharge, which control these before mentioned discharge paths. It has been found to be useful to connect the two upper stages 40 and 41 with the grids of the main discharge paths gal vanically, since this can best be achieved that rectangular grid control pulses of any width and sequence follow one another.

The third stage 42 contains the precontrol by means of discharge paths with pure electron discharge, which is essentially influenced by the one-phase voltage. This third stage is also galvanically connected to the second. Here, however, the galvanic coupling is generally not as important as between the other stages. For the pre-control it is sometimes advisable to use vapor discharge paths instead of electron discharge paths.

This known structure of the control contains the following details for the converter according to the invention: Since the converter works exclusively with forced commutation, the different rectifier and inverter pulses to the oppositely connected parallel discharge paths are eliminated, i.e. there are two discharge paths each controlled simultaneously.

This means that the required discharge paths in stages 40 and 41 are halved compared with the arrangement with natural commutation. The alternating voltages required for the control are taken from the primary three-phase network 1 and the secondary single-phase network 2. The secondary network is either identical to the secondary network 2 of the converter (see Fig. 1) or a separate network that is fed, for example, by auxiliary machines.

The single-phase voltage 2 and the three-phase voltage 1 are fed to the double grid tubes 43 to 46 of the pre-control via the transformers 47 and 48. The voltage of the transformer 48 is in phase with the voltage of the main transformer 49. The double grid tubes 43 to 46; as well as 50 to 52 are supposed to act in such a way that they are only conductive when both grids are positive at the same time.

Then the control tubes 43 to 46 result in the anode currents denoted by the same numbers in Fig. 11 respectively. Anode voltages. Furthermore, the primary voltages of the transformers 47 and 48 are also designated by 47 and 48 in FIG. The sum voltages 43 -I- 44 and 45 + 46 form the grid voltages for the discharge paths 50 and 52. This grid voltage is only positive if the two discharge paths 43 and 44 respectively. 45 and 46 are blocked at the same time.

For example, the grid of the discharge path 50 is positive in the times t 1 to t2, t3 to t4, t to t ", etc. The two grids of the discharge paths 50 and 52 are jointly derived from the sum 56 of the two additional voltages 53- and 54. These additional voltages are formed from the rectified primary voltage 54 and from the rectified secondary voltage 53.

The primary voltage 54 is phase shifted by 90 relative to the primary voltage 48 of the transformer 48. This phase shift can take place by means of the rotary control 55, for example. The discharge lines 50 and 52 are conductive when both grids are positive at the same time.

According to FIG. 11, the discharge path 50 burns in the times t 1 to t 2 and t 1 to t 1, and the discharge path 52 burns in the times t 7 to t 8 and t 9 to t a '. The control of the discharge path 51, which controls the zero point discharge paths 4 and 4 ', is not taken from the control stage 42, but is derived from the discharge paths 50 and 52 via capacitors 57 and 58.

The capacitors 57 and 58 are so large in relation to the resistors 59 and 60 that the grid voltages of the discharge path 51 are an image of the anode voltages of 50 and 52. This ensures that the discharge path 51 only burns when the two discharge paths 50 and 52 are not burning.

This mutual "blocking" of the discharge paths 50 to 52 will expediently be chosen so that when the subsequent vapor discharge paths are ignited, the grid voltage of the discharge paths to be extinguished necessarily becomes negative.

Such a cross-blocking in stage 41 makes the pilot control independent of certain inaccuracies (voltage fluctuations, etc.).

With the help of the circuit described in Fig. 10, the voltage curves 15, 16 or 17 according to Fig. 2 can be generated in the transformer 12. The voltages generated deviate from the theoretical curve only insofar as the flanks of the sinusoidal pieces 3, 5, etc. (Fig. 2) are not completely perpendicular, but rather beveled, due to the influence of the charge reversals of the commutation capacitor 38.

The] capacitor 38, as well as the choke 39 be, besides the forced commutation, also have a certain smoothing effect on the converter voltage. If a complete converter is to be set up as shown in Fig. 2, the circuit in Fig. 10 must be tripled. You can do different parts of the control together; however, this relates less to the discharge paths of stages 40 and 41 than to the precontrol in stage 42.

At this stage, the various partial belts will be dependent on one another to a certain extent, especially in order to be able to better control the overall converter. If several partially wrapped members work together, these various partial converters can be assigned a common commutation unit that carries out the forced commutation of the individual parts one after the other (see Swiss patent no. 1.99295).

The commutation of a two-phase converter may be described as an example, with two partial converters in each phase being operated by a common commutation device (similar Swiss Patent No. 199295). Fig. 12 shows the phase voltages 15a and 15b generated by two associated partial converters. The partial voltage 1.5a of the converter a agrees with curve 15 in Fig. \? match. The partial voltage 15b of the converter lags the voltage 15a by <B> 90 '</B>.

From Fig. 12 it can be seen that the commutation times of 15a and 15b exactly match one another. It makes sense to completely combine the control that belongs to these with the partial converters in such a way that the discharge paths 50 and 52 (Fig. 10) together also control the zero point discharge path of the second partial converter.

In addition, the common commutation device has the advantage that the cathode choke (39 in Fig. 10) can be common to both partial converters. Fig. 13 shows the circuit that results from this.

The total voltage U1 -i- U2 prevails at the capacitor. This sum voltage he is also when you capacitors between the points P1 and P, respectively. P, and P "are connected, as indicated in Fig. 13 below. The secondary windings 15a and 15b can either belong to different phases in any way. Or, connected in series, produce the resulting single-phase voltage.
