Method for operating injection internal combustion engines with light fuel. The invention relates to a method for operating internal combustion engines with light fuel, e.g. B.
Gasoline, in which the fuel in the liquid state is injected directly into the air charge of the cylinder, be it in the cylinder chamber or in the air inlet line in front of the inlet valve, in such a way that all fuel injected at once is in the same air charge and in the same Working cycle is processed, and is ignited by a time-controlled ignition device at a compression pressure below the self-ignition pressure.
Are known - four-stroke machines with a slight overlap of inlet and outlet end, from about 15 to 20 'based on the crank angle, at which the fuel is injected, un indirectly before the working piston reaches its outer dead center or in the moment in which the piston is in its outer dead position when the outlet is still open.
With these machines a certain loss of fuel has to be accepted because part of the injected fuel leaves the cylinder through the still open outlet without doing any work beforehand. As a result of the small overlap of the inlet beginning and outlet end, the flushing effect is insufficient.
In order to improve the flushing effect, it is proposed to select the overlap of the inlet start and outlet end to be greater than was previously the case. In order to exclude fuel losses at the same time, the injection is started so late that no more fuel can get to the exhaust pipe.
Accordingly, the invention comprises improving a method for loading four-stroke internal combustion engines, wel che with light fuel, for. B. gasoline, operated -erden and in which the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder chamber or in one of the adjoining rooms or in the room immediately in front of the inlet valve and the fuel-air mixture is timed ignited by a spark plug .
According to the invention, the inlet opens earlier than before before the outlet end and the fuel injection is started at least just before the end of the outlet opening, so that no fuel can get into the outlet. As a result, you can achieve excellent flushing without wasting fuel and a significant increase in performance with low fuel consumption.
The procedure described above for four-stroke machines can also be used for two-stroke combustion machines. The normal coverage of two-stroke machines for light fuels and spark ignition is about 1.10 '. The invention thus also includes a method for operating two-stroke combustion engines that run on light fuel, e.g. B. Ben zin, are operated and in which the fuel is directly in the cylinder space or in an adjoining room connected to this, z.
B. is injected into an antechamber, vortex chamber or a special Ven tiltasche and the intersection of the inlet start and outlet is more than 110 based on the crank angle. The invention can be used both for two-stroke internal combustion engines with purging by a fan and for machines without a fan, in which it is expedient to draw off the exhaust gases for sucking in the scavenging air by opening the outlet extremely quickly and then opening the inlet immediately is attracted.
Immediately after the outlet is opened, a negative pressure arises in the cylinder space, which sucks in the scavenging air which in the cylinder does not have to overcome any substantial resistance from an exhaust gas cushion.
Such a manner of flushing is also advantageous if a blower is present, since the scavenging air entering does not encounter the resistance of an exhaust gas cushion, so that the blower pressure is lower. The flushing method with the help of the induced draft of the exhaust gases is particularly suitable for aircraft engines, because the exhaust gases in the exhaust pipe also have only a slight resistance due to the lower air density at higher altitudes.
In the following two embodiments of the method according to the invention are described with reference to the drawing: Fig. 1 shows a crank diagram for a four-stroke engine and Fig. 2 for a two-stroke engine.
In Fig. 1, the line XX corresponds to two full rotation rings of the crankshaft, a working stroke I, an exhaust stroke II, an intake stroke III and a compression stroke IV including. To denotes the @irrssern and TZC the inner dead centers of the Working piston.
A 'denotes the opening and A "the closing of the outlet. Correspondingly, E' denotes the opening and E" the closing of the inlet. At Z he follows the ignition.
As FIG. 1 shows, the exhaust and intake periods overlap in the area x of the outer dead center between the exhaust stroke II and the intake stroke III during a crank rotation of about 60.
The moment the outlet opening at A "is closed, the injection process starts at S" and ends at S ". The overlap x enables the compression chamber to be flushed. A loss of fuel is due to the late start The injection process can also start a little earlier, immediately before the outlet closes, and the injection process can also end earlier.
How much he can use beforehand without a loss of fuel being possible. depends on the path the injected fuel particles have to cover through the scavenging air, from the injection nozzle to the outlet opening. It is essential that no fuel can get into the exhaust.
In Fig. 2, the line XX corresponds to one revolution of the crankshaft and the outlet and inlet start and end A ', A ", E", E "are symmetrical to the inner dead point Tu between expansion stroke I and Compression stroke II controlled for example by the piston.
The overlap of the outlet and inlet takes about 110 turns of the crank. The fuel injection S'-S "takes place after the outlet opening is closed and ignition takes place at Z.
The opening and closing of the outlet and inlet openings can be done by the piston, by valves, a movable cylinder liner or by a rotary valve, also asymmetrically to the piston dead centers. Flushing can take place according to the cross-flow, direct current or reverse method .
