Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     quaternälren        Aminobenzylacylamins.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes  ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     qua_          ternären        Aminobenzylacylamins    der Formel

    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man     Heptade-          cylharnstoff,    erhältlich aus     Heptadecylamin     und     Kaliumcyanat,

      mit     p-Dimethylaminoben-          zylsulfanilsäure    umsetzt und den erhaltenen       N-p-Dimethylaminobenzyl-N'-heptadecylharn-          stoff    durch Einwirkung von     Diäthylsulfat     in die entsprechende     quaternäre    Verbindung  umwandelt.  



  Die neue Verbindung, eine braune, wachs  artige, in Wasser leicht lösliche Masse, eignet  sich als Netz-,     Dispergier-    und     Emulgiermittel,     insbesondere aber als     Weichmachungsmittel     für Baumwolle oder umgefällte Zellulose.    <I>Beispiel:</I>  112 Teile     Heptadecylharnstoff,    dargestellt  aus     Heptadecylamin    und     Kaliumcyanat,    und  120 Teile     p-Dimethylaminobenzylsulfanilsäure       werden zusammen mit 280 Teilen konzen  triertem Ammoniak und 120 Teilen Wasser       während    6 Stunden bei<B>150'</B> im     Autoklaven     erhitzt.

   Nach dem Erkalten wird die Re  aktionsmasse abgesaugt und mit Wasser  nachgewaschen. Gegebenenfalls wird zur  Reinigung in heissem     Amylalkohol    aufgenom  men, das Wasser abgetrennt und die     amyl-          alkoholische    Lösung filtriert. Nach dem Ab  destillieren des Lösungsmittels erhält man den  neuen Körper als braune, wachsartige Masse.  



  Die     quaternäre        Ammoniumverbindung    er  hält man durch Erhitzen von 20 Teilen des       Amides    mit 12     Vol.-Teileci        Diäthylsulfat,    bis  das Produkt in heissem Wasser klar löslich  ist, als braune, wachsartige, in Wasser leicht  lösliche Masse.

  The new compound, a brown, waxy mass that is easily soluble in water, is suitable as a wetting, dispersing and emulsifying agent, but especially as a softening agent for cotton or reprecipitated cellulose. <I> Example: </I> 112 parts of heptadecylurea, prepared from heptadecylamine and potassium cyanate, and 120 parts of p-dimethylaminobenzylsulfanilic acid are combined with 280 parts of concentrated ammonia and 120 parts of water for 6 hours at <B> 150 '</B> heated in the autoclave.

   After cooling, the reaction mass is suctioned off and washed with water. If necessary, the cleaning is carried out in hot amyl alcohol, the water is separated off and the amyl alcoholic solution is filtered.   The quaternary ammonium compound is kept by heating 20 parts of the amide with 12 parts by volume of diethyl sulfate until the product is clearly soluble in hot water, as a brown, waxy mass that is easily soluble in water.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines quater- nären Aminobenzylacylamins der Formel EMI0001.0038 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Ideptade- cylharnstoff, mit p-Diinethylaminoberizy1su1- fanilsäure umsetzt und den erhaltenen N-p- Dimethylamiirobenzyl -N'-heptadecyllrarnstoff durch Einwirkung von Diätbylsulfat in die entsprechende quaternäre Verbindung um wandelt.
