Description

       

      Verfahren    zur Darstellung eines zur     Schädlingsbekämpfung    verwendbaren       Kondensationsproduktes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass durch Konden  sation von 1     Mol.        Benzaldehyd-3-sulfonsäure     mit 1     Mol.        4-Chlorbenzylmercaptan    und wei  tere Kondensation der entstandenen     Hydrol-          sulfonsäure    mit 1     Mol.        4-Chlorthiophenol    in  Gegenwart saurer Kondensationsmittel das  wasserlösliche, licht- und     walkechte,

      bestän  dige     4-Chlorbenzyl-4'-chlorphenylmercaptal     der     Benzaldehyd-3-sulfonsäure    erhalten wer  den kann, welche Verbindung zur Verwen  dung als     Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel,    ins  besondere zum Immunisieren gegen Kleider  motten, geeignet ist. Das neue Kondensa  tionsprodukt stellt nach dem     Trocknen    und  Mahlen ein helles Pulver dar, das in Wasser  gut löslich ist und     schwerlösliche    Blei- und  Eisensalze bildet.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       1/1o        Mol.        Benzaldehyd-3-sulfonsäure    wird  in 100 Teilen Eisessig gelöst und bei 0   C  mit 15,9 Teilen     4-Chlorbenzylmercaptan        (1/1o          Mol.)    versetzt, worauf das Gemisch 12 Stun  den bei Raumtemperatur sich selbst über-    lassen wird.

   Dann wird mit 12,4 Teilen     4-          Chlorthiophenol        (111o        Mol.)    versetzt und un  ter Eiskühlung mit     Salzsäuregas        gesättigt.     Nach     6stündigem    Stehen wird in 1000     Teile     Wasser eingerührt, die Lösung kalt     mit    Na  tronlauge kongoneutral gestellt und     aus-          geäthert.    Der Äther     wird    mit     konz.    Natron  lauge zweimal gewaschen,

   getrocknet und       abdestilliert.    Der Rückstand     wird    im Va  kuum bei 80 bis<B>90'</B> getrocknet und gemah  len. Das 4 -     Chlorbenzyl    - 4' -     chlorphenylmer-          captal    der     Benzaldehyd-3-sulfonsäure    ist in  Wasser leicht löslich und bildet     schwerlös-          liche    Blei- und Eisensalze.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines zur Schädlingsbekämpfung verwendbaren Kon densationsproduktes, des 4-Chlorbenzyl-4'- chlorphenylmercaptals der Benzaldehyd-3- sulfonsäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1 Mol. Benzaldehyd-3-sulfonsäure in Gegenwart von sauren Kondensationsmitteln erst mit 1 Mol. 4-Chlorbenzylmereaptan und dann die entstandene Hydrolsulfonsäure mit 1 Mol. 4-Chlorthiophenol behandelt.
