Dosing-distributor for high pressure central lubrication systems. The subject of the invention is a high-pressure metering-distributor for central lubrication installations, this metering-distributor being characterized, according to the invention, in that it comprises a chamber in which the metering takes place. and in which moves a floating piston acting alternately in both directions of movement, members alternately ensuring the distribution on each side of the metering chamber and the filtration elements upstream of the distribution members.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the metering-dispenser according to the invention.
Figs. 1 and 2 schematically show an embodiment of a high pressure metering-dispenser with a floating piston dispenser and dispensing spools.
Fig. 3 shows in vertical section an alternative embodiment of a high pressure metering-distributor with measuring piston and sets of distribution valves. Fig. 4 is a horizontal sectional view corresponding to FIG. 3 and passing through the floating piston.
Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view corresponding to FIG. 3 and passing through one of the valves.
In the embodiment of the metering-dispenser shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the references Cl and Cm correspond to the general installation procedures.
In the body 90 of the metering-dispenser is provided a cylinder constituting a metering chamber 91; in this chamber 91 can move freely a floating piston 93 whose stroke, which can be adjusted by any known means, determines the dose of lubricant to be delivered to the various points to be lubricated.
On each side of the chamber 9'1 are if killed the distribution spools 94 which are guided in bores 95 drilled perpendicularly to the axis of the cylindrical chamber 91. The bores 95 end at the top of the drawing by parts of larger diameter 96 which are in constant communication with the chamber 9-1 by wise steps 97.
Other passages 98 pierced in the body 90 put in communication on each side of the bottom of the chamber 91 with the secondary pipes, not shown, going from the metering-distributor to the points to be bTais- s.
Each distributor drawer 94 which has one of its extreme positions closes the passage 98, comprises an annular groove 99, which at the other extreme position of the slide ensures the continuity of the passage 98.
Each drawer 94 is bored at 101 from its open end to a certain distance beyond a transverse hole 100 which, at the extreme high position of said drawer 94, establishes communication between said random 101 </ B > and the passage 97 connecting the large diameter part 96 with the bottom of the chamber 91.
At their open ends, the drawers 94 are provided with a cap 102, the assembly between the two parts being able to be achieved by any known means, for example by serweaving as shown.
The bottom of each cap 102 is pierced with a hole 103 whose ridge serves as a seat. a floating valve 104 which, according to the example shown, is a ball.
The valve 104 is free to play in its housing 105 of the cap 102 in the diametral direction and in the axial direction, the axial play being limited on the side opposite the seat by the crenellated part 106 terminating the drawer 94. The crenellated part 106 has for the purpose of retaining the ball 104 in a position which does not oppose the passage of the fluid in the bore 101.
At this end of the drawer carrying the cap 102, the body 90 is provided with housings 107 of larger dimensions designed to receive filtration elements 108 which positively oppose the introduction of any external agent inside the dosers-dispensers. The communication between the general conduits C1 and Cna and the housings 107 is carried out by means of the passages 109 provided in the body 90.
The general Cl and C7n pipes being supplied with pressurized lubricant by a high pressure compressor supplied by a reservoir with interposition, between the compressor and the general pipes Cl and < I> Cm, from distributor to. several channels controlled by hand or by. mechanical control, operation, assuming chamber 91 has already been filled with lubricant through line Cl, is as follows:
The compressor delivering, under high pressure, lubricant by another way of the distributor, for example that which establishes the communication between the compressor and the general pipe Cin, the lubricant passes through the passage 109 and enters, after having passed the filter 108 in the housing 107 on the right side facing the drawing, fig. 1 - lifts the drawer 94 in the position indicated in this figure, passes through the hole 103 of the cap 102, lifts the floating valve 104 which comes to rest against the creased part 106.
The lubricant delivered under high pressure passes around the valve 104, enters through the openings of the slots in the bore 101 and arrives through the transverse hole 100 in the part 96 from where it passes through the passage 97 in the metering chamber in exerting pressure on the corresponding face of the metering unit 93, which by its other face re pushes the lubricant which was in the metering chamber on the left side.
To reach the points to be lubricated, the lubricant delivered by the floating piston 93 begins by pushing down the spool 94 - left side facing the drawing in fig. 1.
Arrived at the low position, that is to say at that shown at, the. fig. 1, the annular groove 99 of the spool 94 establishes the continuity of the passage 98 which allows the lubricant to go through a secondary pipe to the points to be lubricated. Fig. 1 shows the metering-distributor 90 in the position at the end of the first lubrication period.
In fig. 2, the same reference numbers indicate the same components which are in the position at the end of the second beat.
Lubrication takes place alternately through one or the other of the general pipes. Considering fig. 2, the pressurized fluid arrives via the general pipe Cl and the process described above is carried out in exactly the same way, the pressure of the compressor being received by the left side face of the metering piston 93 - facing the sin - while the delivery to the points to be lubricated is carried out by the right side face of said metering piston 93.
Alternatively, each face of the metering piston 93 is receiving or distributing.
In the variant embodiment of the metering-dispenser shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the operation is of the same order as that which has just been described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.
We find the floating metering piston 93 (fig. 4) which moves in a cylinder constituting the metering chamber .91 at the ends of which we see stops 110, at least one of which comprises a micrometric device for adjusting the stroke. of the metering piston 93, the stroke which determines the quantity of lubricant to be distributed.
According to this embodiment, the floating piston 93 is combined with sets of distribution valves.
The general pipes Cl and Cm are connected by conical nozzles with the dosing valves 90.
The valve chambers 111 are arranged perpendicular to the axis of the metering chamber 9'l, at each end of said chamber 91. Each chamber 111 provided in the body 90 is closed by means of a plug 112 , after positioning a filter cloth 113 against a shoulder 114 provided inside the housing of the chamber 111. Each stopper 112 has on the side of the filter element 113 a portion of reduced diameter whose purpose is to leave free an annular chamber 115 through which the entry of pressurized lubricant downstream of the filter 113 takes place.
On the other side of the filter element 113 are arranged in order, a baffle 116 and a compound valve.
The compound valve is constituted by a ring 117 of material ensuring the seal. A part 118 with a central passage 119 is forced into a central opening of this ring.
The passage 119 is, at rest, closed by a valve 120 under the action of a spring 121. The operation takes place in an identical manner to that described with reference to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2. The lubricant delivered under high pressure in one of the general pipes (the pipe Cm according to the drawing and in accordance with. -The fig. 3) enters the annular chamber 115 by passing through the conical connecting nozzle and the inclined channel 121 (fig. 5), passes through the filter element 113, takes off the baffle 116 (fig. 3), pushes the valve 117-118 against its seat 1212.
At this position of the members, the lubricant passes around the baffle, enters the central passage 119 of the part 118, pushes the valve 120 against the spring 12'1 and passing through a passage 123 exerts its pressure on the right side face of the metering piston 93 (fig. 4) which transmits said pressure through its left side face on the lubricant which had been previously discharged inside the metering chamber 91.
The departure of the lubricant delivered from the chamber 9'1 to the points to be lubricated takes place, alternately on one side or the other, through one of the passages 123 which connects said chamber to the valve box in question. The delivered lubricant exiting passage 1'23 (fig. 5) enters the housing downstream of the valve 120, passes around the latter which, under the pressure of the spring 121,
closes the central passage 119 d2 the valve 117-X1 $ and finally exits through the outlet pipe 124 which, according to the example shown, is integral with the body of the. valve box.
