Schneepflug.
Snow plow. On snow plows, facilities are known that allow the ploughshare to evade when it encounters resistance. For this purpose, it has been proposed, for example, to fasten the share by means of a shear bolt, which is then sheared off when it encounters hard resistances. For plows that are used on overland roads, where only in exceptional cases, a foreign body gets into the path of the ploughshare, this construction can be used without further ado.
On the other hand, such a plow can of course not be used in cities where there is a relatively large amount of resistance in the streets, since the constant shearing off of the bolts is not a satisfactory solution.
It has now also been proposed to connect the ploughshare to the plow frame in an articulated and resilient manner. In one embodiment according to this proposal, the ploughshare is connected to the plow frame by means of leaf spring assemblies. The disadvantage of this embodiment is that the plow is in many cases unable to provide the necessary resistance to the snow masses to be put aside and therefore not only dodges when obstacles occur in the roadway, but also when there are large piles of snow, etc.
The subject of the present invention is a snow plow with several adjacent ploughshares, in which these shortcomings are to be remedied in that the ploughshares on the plow frame are each steered by means of two lever arms of unequal length and under the action of at least one pressure spring attached to the plow frame stand.
In the accompanying drawing an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown; it shows:.
Fig. 1 is a side view of the snow plow and Fig. 2 is a rear view.
On the only indicated vehicle 1, a device 2 is provided in a known manner, which allows a hydraulic height adjustment of the plow. On the plow frame 3 several plow flocks 4 are hinged side by side each by means of lever arms 5 and 6. The lever arm 6 is supported on a stop 7, whereby the lowermost position of the ploughshare is determined. The lever arms 5 and 6 are articulated both on the plow frame 3 and on the ploughshares 4. On the plow frame 3 be fastened compression springs 8 act on the plow flocks 4, so that they are pressed both under their own weight and by the springs 8 down.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, two springs 8 are provided for each ploughshare. But there could also be only one spring per ploughshare. The lever arms 5 and 6 are of unequal length, namely the lever arm 6 is longer than the lever arm 5. The arrangement of the lever arms 5 and 6 is such that, if there is resistance at the lowest part of the ploughshare 4, this both after dodge at the rear and be lifted at the same time. A particular advantage of the snow plow described is that the cushioning does not reduce the pressure of the plow shares on the road, but on the contrary increases it.
Another particular advantage of the snow plow is that the spring impact force and the direction in which it acts change when the ploughshare hits an obstacle in such a way that the horizontal cushioning component remains approximately the same up to the maximum deflection of the ploughshare.
