Heat exchange element. The subject of the present invention is a heat exchange element with a circulation pipe with lamellar ribs arranged thereon, between which an air flow is directed. Such -N # @ heat exchange elements are used, for example, as air heaters or air coolers, and it is known that their efficiency is greater, the smaller the air resistance that opposes the air flow directed between the fins mentioned.
This fact is taken into account in the subject matter of the invention in that the circulation pipe has a drop-shaped cross section.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section through a broken drawn heat exchange element; Fig. 2 is. Fig. 3 is a side view of the same, and Fig. 3 is a cross section thereof. The heat exchange element according to Fig.1, 2 and 3 has a liquid pipe a, in wel chem the heating BEZW. Cooling liquid circulates and which is provided with lamellar ribs a1, on which the heat exchange process takes place.
Between the ribs a1, an air stream is passed in the direction of the arrows shown in FIG. should be cooled. In order to reduce the air resistance that opposes the air flow to a minimum, the liquid pipe a, as can be seen from FIG. 3, has a teardrop-shaped cross section.
Thanks to this particular cross-sectional shape, aerodynamically favorable flow conditions result, which are further improved by the fact that the tube a on the inlet and on the outlet side for the air with a longitudinal rib dl respectively located in the pipe center plane. d2 is provided. The result of these ribs is that the air flow supplied to the element is divided and thus pulls through the element evenly and with the least formation of vortices.
On the other hand, these longitudinal ribs also form a reinforcement of the pipe a, so that the same can have a minimal wall thickness at a maximum internal pressure (water pressure, possibly also steam pressure). All of these circumstances result in a significant increase in the efficiency of the heat exchanger.
Instead of being cast in one piece with the tube a, the lamellar ribs could be punched out and drawn onto the latter. Finally, the ribs d1 and d2 could also be significantly shorter than is shown in the drawing.
