Vacuum-tight implementation <B> and </B> process for their production. The invention relates to a vacuum-tight implementation, in particular for electrical discharge vessels, and a method for their production. It is known that it is not possible to pass thick copper parts in a vacuum-tight manner through the glass wall of a vessel, since the coefficient of expansion of copper does not match that of the glass.
Rather, one is required in this case to fuse thin-walled copper parts with the glass, which are of such a nature that they can withstand the expansion or Can give way to shrinking movement of the glass plastisc'h. However, this known method is not only difficult to use per se, but is in many cases, e.g. B. with flat glass feet, not usable at all.
The invention is now based on eliminating these difficulties and creating an implementation in which, on the one hand, the fluidity of the connection is guaranteed, but on the other hand, the technical production of the implementation is possible in the simplest way. A further purpose of the invention is to design the duration so that it is possible without any difficulty in the case of soft glasses as well as hard glasses.
The problem, e.g. Passing copper rods through glass walls is particularly important for electron tubes for short waves, but is also used wherever good conductivity of the current feed conductor is required.
According to the present invention, the vacuum-tight passage consists of a sleeve-shaped piece made of a material whose eye delinunimskoe ± efficiency is at least approximately the same as that of the disposable glass and which is vacuum-tight in the sleeve; Use a guided tourGfab.
Furthermore, the invention relates to a method according to which the feedthrough according to the invention is produced in such a way that a sleeve-shaped piece of monoclonal material, e.g. Chromeigen, nickel iron, i.e. made of a material whose expansion coefficient does not deviate far from the (<B>. </B> les sealing glass,
the guide rod is inserted in a vacuum-tight manner and the fusion between the sleeve-shaped piece and the vessel wall is then carried out. It has been shown that in this way, for example, one can burst reliably vacuum-tight electrical feedthroughs using a wide variety of metals in an extremely simple operation.
In practical cases, copper, silver, respectively, are especially used as current conductors. Aluminum can be considered, while the sleeve material for soft glass is, for example, chrome iron, chrome nickel, nickel iron, iron-nickel cobalt alloys, while for hard glass, molybdenum and possibly tungsten are preferred.
The sleeve is expediently given a wall thickness such that the expansion properties of the entire body at the melting point roughly correspond to those of the glazing, i.e. the thickness of the wall is so great that the expansion properties of the sleeve materials are essentially decisive for the total expansion of the metal body.
It is advisable not to make the sleeve much longer (e.g. <B> 1 </B> to 2 Tn-m) than the melting point, there. -by shortening the sleeve, a reduction in its wall thickness is also possible.
An exemplary embodiment of the implementation according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the figure. They mean: <B> 1 </B> - a flat pressed glass base, 2 'and <B> 3 </B> two copper feed-throughs, 4 and <B> 5 </B> the sleeve-shaped pieces made of fusible material which surround the copper conductor at the melting point. If z.
B. a hard glass lining is assumed, then these sleeves are made of molybdenum, for example. In the present case, the wall thickness of the sleeve is approximately one third of the diameter of the copper conductor. In practical cases, the wall thickness of the sleeve will be between 1/2 "and 1/2 of the diameter of the through-holes. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the sleeves protrude on both sides somewhat beyond the actual melt-down point .
The production of the just described cable guide is best done in such a way that the single conductor is inside a mold, for example made of graphite, which is adapted to the shape of the bushing, is preferably poured into the sleeve in a vacuum or in a protective gas. <B> It </B> has been shown
that in this way one does not only need an absolute vacuum tightness, but also the necessary methanic C, strength properties of the implementation. In the case of entries that are not subject to high thermal loads, the connection # between the sleeve and the inner conductor can also be made by soldering.
The bushing in the glass base is molded into the glass base after the bushing, which consists of the sleeve and inner conductor, has been completed. the core can also be soldered into the sleeve while the sleeve is being melted into the glass base.
