Lampe électrique. La présente invention a pour objet une lampe électrique dont le corps est formé par une boîte en forme de livre, dans lequel l'ampoule est disposée, caractérisée par le fait que l'un des couvercles du livre com porte une ouverture permettant le passage .des rayons lumineux et fermée par un verre dépoli, par un rideau opaque disposé en des sus dudit verre, pouvant coulisser dans le couvercle comportant l'ouverture, permettant ainsi de découvrir à volonté ledit verre pour régler l'intensité lumineuse,
et par un dispo sitif permettant de maintenir un livre en position verticale sur ledit couvercle, lorsque le -corps en forme -de livre est posé à plat.
Ire dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.
Les fig. 1 et 2 représentent, en perspec tive, la lampe dans deux positions diffé rentes; la fig. 3 représente une coupe suivant un plan transversal passant par la ligne A-A de la fig. 1; la fig. 4 représente une coupe selon la ligne B-B de la fig. 3; les fig. 5 et 6 représentent un détail. La lampe électrique représentée dans le dessin comporte un corps 1 formé par une boîte en forme de livre, dans lequel l'am poule est disposée.
Le couvercle 2 comporte une ouverture rectangulaire 3 permettant le passage des rayons lumineux. Pour atténuer la lumière, l'ouverture 3 est fermée par un verre dépoli 4 qui est figé à la surface inté rieure du couvercle 2. Les côtés de l'ouver ture 3 du couvercle ,sont munis de rainures 5, dans lesquelles peut coulisser un rideau 6, qui est guidé par des rainures 7, prévues dans des sûpports 8, disposés aux deux extré mités du dos 9 du corps 1 en forme de livre.
Sur l'un de ces supports 8 est fixéé, au moyen d'une équerre 10 et de vis 11, la douille 12 porteuse de l'ampoule; le courant électrique est amené par un cordon 13.
Sur le couvercle 2 est disposé le -dispositif permettant de maintenir un livre en position verticale sur le couvercle, ce dispositif étant constitué par un cadre 14, composé de barres 17, 18, 19 et pouvant pivoter autour d'un axe., formé par des goupilles 16 (fig. 5 et 6).
Afin de procurer un bon aspect à la lampe lorsque le cadre 14 est rabattu sur le, cou vercle 2, le quatrième côté .du cadre 14 est formé par une liste 20, fixée sur le couver cle 2. Près de ses extrémités, la liste 20 com porte deux entailles rectangulaires, dans les quelles sont logées les extrémités des côtés 17, 18, traversées par les goupilles IG, qui sont enfoncées dans la liste 20.
Les barres 17 et 18 sont prolongées au delà des pivots 16 par une partie formant un coude 21, traversant une fente .du couvercle. A l'extrémité de chaque coude 21 est a-ccro- clié un ressort à boudin 22-, dont l'autre extrémité est fixée par une vis 23 au -côté intérieur de la paroi 24 de la boîte. Afin de bloquer le cadre 14 lorsqu'il est rabattu sur le couvercle 2, il est prévu un verrou 25, disposé dans la paroi 26, destiné à venir accrocher un organe 27 logé dans un évidement de la barre 19;
un :doigt 28,, tra versant la paroi 26, permet de déplacer le verrou 25 lorsque le cadre 14 doit être libéré.
Le cadre 14 rabattu sur le couvercle se trouve sous l'action de quatre ressorts à bou din 29, agissant sur des boulons 30 -disposés dans des étriers 31 et traversant le couver cle 2.
Pour éviter l'éblouissement du lecteur lorsque la lampe est utilisée comme lampe pour lire, il est prévu un écran 3'2 .disposé le long du grand côté de l'ouverture le plus rapproché de la tranche 26. Cet écran 32 peut être glissé à l'intérieur de la boîte, comme il est visible dans les fig, 1, 3 et 4;
dans cette position, il est retenu par le cadre 14. L'écran 32 est placé entre le .côté inté rieur de la -tranche 26 et deux équerres 34, vissées aux parois 3:5 et 36 de la boîte. Les flancs des équerres servant de guidage com portent :des fentes 37, dans lesquelles peu vent coulisser des boulons 38 fixés à la partie inférieure de l'écran 32.
L'écran 32 est sous l'action de ressorts à boudin 3'9, dont une extrémité -est fixée au boulon 38, l'autre extrémité étant fixée au bas de l'équerre 34, le ressort passant sur un rouleau 40, fixé à l'équerre 34; les ressorts 3-9 tendent à dé placer l'écran 32 dans la position représentée dans la fig. 2.
Le couvercle 41 est tenu, d'une part, par des vis 42 et, d'autre part, par des tenons 43 logés dans le dos du livre. La face inté- rieure du couvercle 41 porte une tôle 44 for mant réflecteur.
Le mode d'emploi de la lampe décrite est le suivant: Si l'on veut se -servir de la lampe sommé lampe -de chevet, on la posera à plat. L'intensité lumineuse peut être réglée au moyen du rideau qui comporte une poignée 46 permettant de le faire coulisser facile ment.
La fig. 1 du dessin représente la lampe en position debout, position dans laquelle elle sert de lampe de bureau. Lors de cet emploi, le rideau sera de préférence,- ouvert totale ment pour donner le maximum d'intensité lumineuse.
Pour se servir de la lampe comme lampe- à lire, celle-ci sera placée à plat, comme il est représenté dans la fig. 2. Ensuite; on pressera ,sur le doigt 28 pour libérer le ver rou 25. Par suite du déverrouillajge, les res- sorts 2.2, .qui dans - la position de fermeture du cadre sont tendus, feront pivoter le cadre 14 autour des pivots. 16; de sorte que le cadre 14 prendra la position verticale.
Après le déverrouillage, les ressorts à boudin 29, comprimés jusqu'à ce moment, aideront pendant un instant .à faire pivoter 1f-;cadre 14. Dans la position verticale du cadre 14, .les barres 17, 18 butent :contre la surface intérieure 45 de la lente de la, liste 20 (fig. 3).
Pendant que le cadre 14 se dé place dans sa position verticale, les ressorts à boudin 39 font -coulisser l'icran f2 en dehors de la boîte pour l'amener dans la position représentée dans la fig: 2.
Après le - déverrouillage, le cadre 14 et l'écran 32 sont donc amenés automatique ment dans leur position d'-emploi.
Pour ramener le cadre 14 et l'écran dans leur position de -non-emploi, :on fera pivoter le cadre 14 qui, pendant le pivotement, vient agir sur l'écran 32 et, en continuant le pivo tement, l'écran 32 viendra se loger dans la boîte. .Lorsque la barre 19 du cadre 14 atteint le couvercle 2, le verrou 25 accro chera la barre 19, de sorte que le cadre 14 et l'écran seront bloques dans la position de non-Emploi.

The electric lamp shown in the drawing comprises a body 1 formed by a box in the form of a book, in which the hen is arranged.
The cover 2 has a rectangular opening 3 allowing the passage of light rays. To attenuate the light, the opening 3 is closed by a frosted glass 4 which is fixed to the interior surface of the cover 2. The sides of the opening 3 of the cover are provided with grooves 5, in which a curtain 6, which is guided by grooves 7, provided in brackets 8, arranged at both ends of the back 9 of the body 1 in the form of a book.
On one of these supports 8 is fixed, by means of a bracket 10 and screws 11, the socket 12 carrying the bulb; the electric current is brought by a cord 13.
On the cover 2 is arranged the -dispositif for keeping a book in a vertical position on the cover, this device being constituted by a frame 14, composed of bars 17, 18, 19 and able to pivot about an axis., Formed by pins 16 (fig. 5 and 6).
In order to provide a good appearance to the lamp when the frame 14 is folded over the cover 2, the fourth side of the frame 14 is formed by a list 20, attached to the cover 2. Near its ends, the list 20 com carries two rectangular notches, in which are housed the ends of the sides 17, 18, crossed by the pins IG, which are driven into the list 20.
The bars 17 and 18 are extended beyond the pivots 16 by a part forming an elbow 21, passing through a slot .du cover. At the end of each bend 21 is a-crocclié a coil spring 22-, the other end of which is fixed by a screw 23 to the inner side of the wall 24 of the box. In order to block the frame 14 when it is folded over the cover 2, there is provided a latch 25, disposed in the wall 26, intended to hook a member 27 housed in a recess of the bar 19;
a: finger 28 ,, tra pouring the wall 26, moves the lock 25 when the frame 14 must be released.
The frame 14 folded over the cover is under the action of four coil springs 29, acting on bolts 30 - arranged in brackets 31 and passing through the cover 2.
To avoid dazzling the reader when the lamp is used as a reading lamp, there is provided a screen 3'2. Arranged along the long side of the opening closest to the edge 26. This screen 32 can be slid. inside the box, as can be seen in figs, 1, 3 and 4;
in this position, it is retained by the frame 14. The screen 32 is placed between the interior .côté of the -tranche 26 and two brackets 34, screwed to the walls 3: 5 and 36 of the box. The sides of the brackets serving as guide comprise: slots 37, in which bolts 38 fixed to the lower part of the screen 32 can slide.
The screen 32 is under the action of coil springs 3'9, one end of which is fixed to the bolt 38, the other end being fixed to the bottom of the bracket 34, the spring passing over a roller 40, fixed at the square 34; the springs 3-9 tend to displace the screen 32 in the position shown in FIG. 2.
The cover 41 is held, on the one hand, by screws 42 and, on the other hand, by tenons 43 housed in the spine of the book. The inside face of the cover 41 carries a reflector sheet 44.
The instructions for using the lamp described are as follows: If you want to use the lamp as a bedside lamp, you will put it flat. The light intensity can be adjusted by means of the curtain which has a handle 46 allowing it to slide easily.
Fig. 1 of the drawing represents the lamp in a standing position, the position in which it serves as a desk lamp. During this use, the curtain will preferably be - fully open to give maximum light intensity.
To use the lamp as a reading lamp, it will be placed flat, as shown in fig. 2. Then; we will press on the finger 28 to release the red worm 25. As a result of the unlocking, the springs 2.2,. which in the closed position of the frame are stretched, will cause the frame 14 to pivot around the pins. 16; so that the frame 14 will assume the vertical position.
After unlocking the coil springs 29, compressed until this moment, will help for a moment to rotate 1f-; frame 14. In the vertical position of frame 14, .bars 17, 18 abut: against the surface inner 45 of the slow, list 20 (fig. 3).
While the frame 14 moves into its vertical position, the coil springs 39 cause the screen f2 to slide out of the box to bring it into the position shown in fig: 2.
After unlocking, the frame 14 and the screen 32 are therefore automatically brought into their position of use.
To bring the frame 14 and the screen back to their non-use position: the frame 14 will be rotated which, during the pivoting, acts on the screen 32 and, continuing the pivoting, the screen 32 will be housed in the box. .When the bar 19 of the frame 14 reaches the cover 2, the latch 25 will hang on the bar 19, so that the frame 14 and the screen will be locked in the non-use position.
