Rectangular plate made of refractory material. It is practical to use larger hotplates and also flaps for industrial ovens from a number of smaller plates, e.g. B. made of refractory steel, which are attached to each other so that they form a cohesive plate structure.
The individual plates have a certain mobility with respect to one another, thanks to which, in conjunction with the relatively small dimensions of the plates, the internal stresses in the plate material are reduced and the tendency towards deformation and cracking is also reduced. Since electric heating elements are very often provided under the hearth of a furnace, which protect against contamination such. B.
Oxide slag, originating from the material that is subjected to a heat treatment on the hearth floor, must be well protected, it is essential that hob plates of the above-mentioned mosaic type are provided with a joint connection so that such impurities can fall down on the Prevents heating elements as much as possible, which is why this joint connection must not have any uninterrupted recesses.
Fugenverbin serving this purpose have already been proposed. According to Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawing, which shows a section through two plates connected to each other in this be known type, this joint connection has a T-shaped tongue composed of part 8 with transverse ribs 9,
which protrudes from one of these plates 7 and engages in a corresponding groove in the adjacent plate.
As shown, the grooves have a relatively narrow opening 10 which widens towards the bottom. As a result of this formation of the joint connection, the casting and molding of such Plat th is very difficult; In particular, it is also very difficult to clean and grind the grooves. This in turn brings difficulties in the realization of a satisfactory intervention on the joint connection with it.
There are thus all kinds of difficulties in the production of such panels. However, it has been found that these difficulties can be resolved, at the same time the production of the panels is simplified and cheaper if the tongues and grooves are made according to the present invention.
The invention consists in that the plate is provided on two adjacent edge sides with a tongue that lies in the plane of the plate, as well as with a tongue perpendicular to the former, the thickness of these tongues not increasing towards the free tongue and the The transverse dimension of the vertical tongue extends at most to the base of the first-mentioned tongue running in the plane of the plate, and that the plate is provided with grooves on both of its other edges,
which correspond to the tongues with regard to their design and arrangement, in such a way that they can be combined to form a coherent panel structure by joining such panels at their edge sides.
On the accompanying drawing, FIGS. 2-6 illustrate an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Figure 2 shows a single plate viewed from above.
Figures 3 and 4 are cross sections taken along lines 3-3 and 4-4 in Figure 2. Figure 5 is a cross section through the jointing of two panels, and Figure 6 shows a number of panels joined together.
Each plate 1 is seen on two adjacent edge sides on the one hand with a tongue 2 ver, which lies in the plane of the plate, and on the other hand with a tongue 3, which is arranged perpendicular to the first-mentioned tongue. In the present case, both tongues have a rectangular cross-section. The thickness of the tongues can vary according to the. Free tongues also decrease towards the top, but under no circumstances should it increase.
On the other two sides of the edge, the plate is provided with grooves 4 and 5, which correspond to the two tongues in terms of cross-section and arrangement. and 3 correspond. It is important that the transverse dimension of the tongue 3 does not extend laterally further than at most to the base of the tongue 2 and that the groove 5 accordingly does not protrude laterally towards the interior of the plate than at most to the dash-dotted line 6 in FIG. 3.
As a result, the openings of the grooves 4 and 5 are completely exposed, so that the latter are easily accessible for cleaning and grinding purposes, in contrast to the grooves 10, 11 of the plate illustrated in FIG. 1.
Another advantage is that the plates described can be made thinner and are therefore cheaper.
Although the panels are primarily used as floor panels or flaps in ovens, they can also be used to manufacture other panel structures or panel coverings that are exposed to high temperatures.
