Advertising device. The present invention relates to an advertising device comprising an axial support carrying a light source and a hollow assembly, open from the bottom and at least part of which carries the advertisement, which seems to be able to rotate around the support under the action of the hot gases given off by said light source on incisions in the form of pallets made in the upper face of the assembly.
Tic drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, two embodiments of the device according to the invention; in fig. 1 and 3, in elevation and in fig. 2 and 4, in plan. In fig. 1 and 2, the advertisement, which occupies the entirety of the part of the assembly carrying the advertisement, consists of the thin sheet covering in particular the side wall of the boxes for foodstuffs on which said advertisement appears.
In fig. 3 and 4, this advertisement, which occupies only a fraction of the part of the assembly carrying the advertisement, consists of a packaging element for the product to be bragged about on which said advertisement appears. .
1 designates an electric bulb, a source of light and heat, the base of which bears the collar? in which is mounted a bent rod 3, the upper end of which carries a pivot 4, the point of which supports a stone 5 fixed to the center of a circular metal bearing 6 on the periphery of which is fixed, fig. 1 and 2, the cylindrical and transparent part 9 of the assembly mounted on said point and carrying the advertisement in the form of the word Ercole repeated several times around its periphery; as this part 9, consisting of a sheet, is thin, it can be supported in the form of a thin sheet 10 of cellu loïd, mounted in the carrier 6 and on which the part 9 can be stretched.
In the example of fig. 3 and 4, packaging parts 11. ' of a product to brag are embedded in the. cylindrical and opaque part 11 of the assembly mounted on the tip of the pivot 4; these packaging parts bear on their face 1.2 the advertisement in the form of the word Ercole accompanied by two decorative signs. In the lower part of 11, the Ercole advertising word has been cut out, which constitutes an additional advertising medium.
All these words of claim, during the rotation of the assembly mounted on the tip of 4 around the light source, rotation due to the incisions 7 and 8 in the form of paddles made in the carrier 6, will appear and disappear. successively attracting the eye. We can increase the effect produced by the appearance of the cut word Ercole of 11 by placing on a. extension 13 of the support 14 of the light source, and in a groove 1, a screen 16 which, instead of being united, could also be corrugated as indicated by the dotted line 17.
To increase the translucency of parts 9, 10, 12 and 16, linseed oil is used, for example, with which they are soaked prior to their assembly and which is left to dry before assembly of these parts. ment also increasing the rigidity of the latter.
Part 11 of the assembly, fig. 3 and 4, could also be translucent, but with less advertising effect.
Each of the advertising elements is removable and can therefore be replaced by another.
