Dans la troisième forme d'exécution (fig. 3), la boîte est formée d'une carrure-fond <B>16-17,</B> d'une pièce, et d'une limette 12 accro chée à cran à un rebord 18 de la carrure;
le bâti 6 du mouvement se trouve ici fixé par des vis-clés 19 dans un cadre d'agrandisse ment 20 qui possède un enfoncement 20a dans lequel est placée une bague élastique 21, en matière non métallique dans le genre de celle utilisée pour la garniture de joint, où elle se maintient par tension contre la surface limi- tant l'enfoncement;
Après avoir mis librement le bâti du mouvement dans l'évidement 1a de la calotte où il doit appuyer par son filet d'em boîtage 6a, et cela au moins partiellement si la boite est de forme, on y place le réhaut sur le pourtour duquel est montée avec tension la garniture de joint 5, représentée en traits mixtes;
ledit bâti est immobilisé, maintenu dans la position sus-indiquée, par la pression exercée par la limette accrochée à cran à la paroi de la calotte, à au moins deux endroits opposés, pression qui est transmise sur le ca dran du mouvement par l'intermédiaire de la glace et du réhaut;
Le réhaut pourrait être fixé à cran et, en pressant sur le cadran, assem- bler le mouvement, ce qui remplacerait les vis- clés. Le cadre d'agrandissement. possède une gorge 29 dans laquelle se trouve partiellement logée et maintenue, appuyant contre son fond axial, une bague élastique 30 non métallique, en une matière analogue à celle employée pour les garnitures de joint;
Dans la forme d'exécution de la fig. 7, le bâti 6 du mouvement est monté librement dans un cadre d'agrandissement 51 qui possède une gorge 52 dans laquelle pénètre une bague élas tique 53 tendue, en matière analogue à celle utilisée pour les garnitures de joint;
Dans la forme d'exécution de la. fig. 8, re présentée partiellement, le même bâti 6 du mouvement, dont seule la platine 6a est des sinée, est assemblé élastiquement dans une même boîte que celle de la fig. 7 au moyen d'une rondelle 56 qui, montée librement ou forcée sur la platine, est placée de même dans la noyure de la carrure-lunette 40--41 où elle fonctionne comme cadre d'agrandissement;
Waterproof box with movement fixing device. The object of the present invention is a waterproof watch case with a device for fixing the movement, characterized in that one of the parts - crystal and back - fixes the movement in the body of the case by means of a annular part, a gasket being in contact with one of the two parts - glass and bottom - and the body of the box and again with the annular part, and being able to extend into at least one annular space formed between the parts enclosing the filling.
The appended drawing represents, by way of examples, several embodiments of the object of the invention.
Each of fig. 1 to 8 est. a partial axial section of one of these embodiments.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 1 comprises a box body or cap 1, round or shaped, the wall and the bottom of which are one, a bezel 2 which surrounds it and carries the handles, a crystal 3, a flange 4, a trim seal 5 and a movement whose frame 6 carries the dial 7; to fix the frame 6 in the body of the box 1, the lens 3 is used which, controlled by the bezel 2, acts via the flange or annular part 4 on the frame plate to support its casing thread 6a on the inner shoulder of the wall of the cap; the pressure could be on the dial.
The telescope 2, which can be assembled to the cap in one way or another, controls the glass by acting on a collar 3a. of its rim and the gasket, mounted tending against the perimeter of the top 4, is pressed against the box body, both by the end 3b of the rim of the glass, formed of a surface parallel to the plane some movement. and a bevel, and by the oblique surface 2a of the bezel; this surface 2a acts on the free outer edge of the lining, shown in phantom, to force it to penetrate especially into the annular free spaces 8 and. 9 formed between the parts enclosing the lining.
The lower surface of the rim of the glass or that of the box body, opposite, could. present a continuous groove into which the gasket: would penetrate.
The flange or annular part 4 is at. double function since it helps to fix the movement in the box and radially maintains the seal.
In the second embodiment (fig. 2), the case is, composed of a middle case-back 10 with bezel 11, in a single piece, in which the crystal 3 is hooked and presses the gasket lining. 5, mounted with tension against the perimeter of the flange 4, by its oblique straight surface 3b; this, which could also be concave or convex, acts on the free edge of the. packing, shown in phantom in the free state, which then extends into the two annular spaces 13 and 14.
By assembling the crystal to the case body, it ends up pressing the flange: 4 and, consequently, elastically the frame 6 of the movement by the intermediary of a wavy spring 15 placed between the flange and the dial. 7 that it surrounds; this res out, of rectangular section, could be of round section.
This device allows the glass to take the position fixed to it and secondly for the gasket to rest against the flange instead of a re edge of the box body, which provides the advantage, all things remaining. equal, to increase the width of said lining or to reduce any of the elements involved; the ice can thus be simply forced into a bore whose wall is cylindrical or slightly conical.
In the third embodiment (fig. 3), the case is made up of a caseband-back <B> 16-17, </B> of one piece, and of a lime 12 hooked on notch to a rim 18 of the caseband;
the frame 6 of the movement is here fixed by key screws 19 in an enlargement frame 20 which has a recess 20a in which is placed an elastic ring 21, of non-metallic material similar to that used for the lining joint, where it is held by tension against the surface limiting the depression;
said frame thus placed freely in the middle part is fixed therein pressing by its shoulder 22 against the surface 16a of the middle part; this fixing takes place by means of the bezel 12 controlling the crystal 3 and the flange 4 which acts on the ring 21 and consequently elastically on the enlargement frame 20 containing the movement.
The flange has two grooves, a small one, 23, to easily take it out of the box and a large one, 24, in which the. seal packing 5 is previously and partially housed; this allows it to be integral with the top and increase its width.
As already mentioned in the second embodiment, said trim, thus being in contact with the flange instead of a rim of the middle part, can be well sized while leaving the bezel and the crystal strong. The ring 21 could, well in tension ,. be replaced by a strip or a corrugated metal wire, making a spring, and this element, whatever it is, be placed between the extension frame and the middle part.
The gasket lining is pressed as in the previous embodiment, against the middle part and the flange, by an oblique surface 3b of the crystal and can penetrate into the annular spaces 8 and 9 reserved for this purpose.
The fourth embodiment, shown in fig. 4, includes, like that of FIG. 1, a cap 1 whose wall and bottom do not. that in, a bezel 2 which surrounds the cap and has the handles 2b, a crystal 3, a flange 4. a gasket lining: 5 and movement. the frame 6 of which bears the dial 7 on which the flange rests; the box can be shaped or round.
After having freely placed the frame of the movement in the recess 1a of the cap where it must press by its box net 6a, and this at least partially if the box is shaped, we place the flange on the periphery of which is mounted with tension the gasket 5, shown in phantom;
said frame is immobilized, maintained in the above-indicated position, by the pressure exerted by the lime hooked on the wall of the cap, at at least two opposite places, pressure which is transmitted to the movement's ca dran by the intermediary of the mirror and the flange;
during this operation, the oblique surface 3b of the lens 3 presses on the free edge of the gasket to press it against the end of the cap and. the perimeter of the flange while allowing it to extend into the annular spaces 8 and 9.
In the fifth embodiment (fig. 5), the caseband 16-17, the bezel 12 hooked into the rim 18 of the caseband, the crystal 3 with its surface 3b and the gasket insert 5 are similar to those of fig. 3.
The frame 6 .du movement is also fixed by key screws in an enlargement frame 20 which, in this case, extends beyond the middle part and it is against this projecting part 25 that the gasket insert 5 rests; to remove the flange 26, forced and housed entirely in the frame 20, the latter is bevelled internally at 27 to make it possible to reach a groove 28 of the flange and to lift it.
The flange could be fixed in place and, by pressing on the dial, assemble the movement, which would replace the key screws. The enlargement frame. has a groove 29 in which is partially housed and held, pressing against its axial bottom, a non-metallic elastic ring 30, made of a material similar to that used for the gasket linings;
under the thrust exerted by the bezel and the intermediary of the crystal on the end of the enlarging frame, the shoulder 31 of the middle part tends to penetrate into the elastic ring, which by elastic reaction assembles the frame pair. movement in the box body; this ring is also shown undeformed, in phantom, and it could also be partially housed in a groove of the gearbox body or be replaced by a spring. metallic, corrugated for example, which could also simply be placed between the frame and the box body.
The tightness of the ice is. again produced by the pressure of the oblique surface 3b thereof on the free edge of the gasket which finds room to extend into the annular spaces 8 and 9. It goes without saying that the elastic ring 30 and directly block the enlargement frame against the shoulder. 31 of the cap, by modifying. accordingly said frame. This way of proceeding is easily applicable, for example, when the bezel carries the handles and surrounds the box body, the wall and the bottom of which have been manufactured, as in FIG. 1 and 4, and is assembled to said body in one way or another.
It has been pointed out above that the flange press-fitted in the enlargement frame and pressing on the dial can replace the usual fixing key screws; it is, moreover, easy to see also, from figs. 3 and 5, that the flange being in contact with the dial and pressed by the glass fixes the movement in the enlargement frame and, consequently, the whole in the case body and this with or without the intermediary of an elastic element, metallic or non-metallic.
The sixth embodiment (fig. 6) shows a device for fixing the movement in the box, effected from the bottom; the case here is made up of a one-piece middle-bezel 40-41, a back 42 and a crystal 43 assembled in a tight read-clear manner 41 in the usual manner. The frame 6 of the movement is also fixed by two key screws in an enlargement frame 20 (which is not an obligation), which extends beyond the middle part and against which the gasket insert 5 rests; part of the lining could penetrate into a radial groove of said frame to which it would thus be integral.
A spring 44, placed in a core of the enlargement frame between the latter and the bottom, is pressed by the latter, hooked to the body of the box, which resiliently supports the dial 7 against a shoulder 45 of the build. Since this magnifying frame acts as an intermediary at the bottom of the case, polish fix the movement. therein, and again radial support to the seal., this frame has a dual function. It is easy to see that the spring can be placed, surrounding the dial, between said shoulder and the end of the enlarging frame, in a location provided for this purpose, to press said frame against the bottom.
Although freely adjusted in the middle part, the enlargement frame has a groove 46 for disengaging. The gasket 5 is pressed against the end 47 of the middle part and the circumference of the enlargement frame, in the direction of the gasket between the two parts, by an oblique surface 48 of the back, and extends into the annular spaces 49 and 50.
A thin annular portion of the frame 20 could surround the dial so that the frame abuts against the shoulder 45 of the case.
In the embodiment of FIG. 7, the frame 6 of the movement is freely mounted in an enlargement frame 51 which has a groove 52 into which penetrates a tensioned elastic ring 53, made of a material similar to that used for the gasket linings;
by making a notch in the frame, from its upper face, to allow the installation of the winding stem, and by dimensioning its hole according to the plate 6a of the frame, it can easily be assembled elastically to the latter in a removable manner . The whole enlargement frame and movement frame is fixed in the middle-bezel 40-41, similar to that of FIG. 7, by the bottom 42, also mounted in a notch, which acts via an oblique surface 54a of a dual-function ring 54,
on the free edge of the elastic ring 53 which, by reaction, elastically presses the dial 7 against the shoulder 45 of the caseband; this non-metallic ring could of course be replaced by at least one metallic spring of round or rectangular section. The prison 54 has the second function of partially receiving the gasket lining 5, in a groove 55 of its part extending beyond the middle; the lining is pressed against the latter and in said groove by the oblique surface 48 of the bottom, which acts as in the previous embodiment and also extends into the annular spaces 49 and 50.
The fixing ring 54, although free in the case, has a groove 46 for disengaging it.
By suitably extending the enlargement frame 51 by a thin tu bular part which surrounds the dial, it is the frame which would be pressed against the shoulder 45 of the case body, if the frame of the movement is integral with the dial, it will self.
In the embodiment of the. fig. 8, shown partially, the same frame 6 of the movement, of which only the plate 6a is sinée, is elastically assembled in the same box as that of FIG. 7 by means of a washer 56 which, mounted freely or forced on the plate, is placed in the same way in the core of the middle part-bezel 40--41 where it functions as an enlarging frame;
this metal washer, even in hardened steel for example, can be dimensioned by its thickness to make sufficiently res out, or divided, during its manufacture by cutting, by notches or more or less wide segments which create elastic blades, as shown in section on the sines.
The dial 7 of the movement is fixed against the shoulder. 45 of the middle part by this simple double-acting enlargement frame, by means of a dual-function fixing ring 54, similar to that of FIG. 7 which, pushed by the bottom of the box, acts on said frame which gives way and thus retains everything elastically in the box.
The ring protruding from the box body, and serving as a support for the gasket lining, could be the wall of a thin cap whose bottom is. removed leaving a few protrusions on the ring, protrusions on which the bottom of the case would press in order to elastically maintain the movement in the latter, said ring being in contact with the frame of the movement or an enlargement frame.
If this frame 56 is integral with the frame and has a thin tubular part into which the end of the dial would properly penetrate, it is said frame which will rest against the shoulder 45, in place of the dial. In addition, it is easy to realize that the frame of the movement could also include, coming from manufacture, the part represented by the washer 56, and that an elastic element could be interposed between the frame and the ring of dual-function fixing 54 to thus hold the dial against the shoulder 45 of the box body.
It would of course still be possible to ensure that it is the frame which is pressed against said shoulder, in place of the dial, by making a thin tubular part around the periphery of this frame, into which the dial would penetrate.
