A point recording device for a game. The present invention relates to a points recording device for a game.
The drawing represents, schematically and. by way of example, one embodiment of the device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows it in plan, and FIG. 2 in elevation. Fig. 3 shows a sectional view of the following device. the line I-I of the fi-. 1. FIG. 4 represents the mechanism of the fie. 3, view from below. Fig. 5 shows in partial axial section and on another scale one of the mechanisms located on the tower of FIG. 1.
1 designates a box whose \? is the cover and 3 is the bottom. The cover 2 is pierced, in its middle part, with windows 4 to 16 and., In its edges, windows 17 to 28. Each of the windows 4 to 6 and 14 to 16 corresponds under the cover 2 to a strip such that 29 (fig. 3) provided, on its face opposite the corresponding window, with a series of notches (fig. 3). To each window 7 to 13 corresponds, under the cover, a strip without notches.
Each of said slats carries, on its face in contact with the cover 2, a series of numbers; for the hundreds, fifties and twenties respectively on the slats located under windows 4 to 6 and 16 to 14; the slats corresponding to windows 7 and 7.3 bear the numbers 0 and 1; the slats corresponding to windows 8, 9 and 12, 11 bear the numbers 0 to 9; as for the strip corresponding to window 10, it bears the numbers 0 to 9 plus the multiplication sign X after the 9.
Each of these strips is mounted in a groove such as those limited by the strips 30, 31, 32, 33 for the strips corresponding to the windows 4 to 6 and the strips 33 to 38 for the strips corresponding to the windows 7 to 9, by example. The slats correspond to windows 7 to 13, the numbers of which are separately visible through the precisely designated windows. by 7 to 13, are movable by hand along their length by means of pins 40 to 46 fixed in said slats and guided in grooves 47 to 53 made in the cover 2 of the box. 1.
The slats, such as 29, corresponding to windows 4 to 6 and 14 to 16, can also be moved by hand by means of identical levers 54 to 56, respectively 57 to 59.
The handle 54 (fig. 3 and 4) is formed by the end, outside the box, of a rod 60, sliding in a tube 61, mounted under the cover 2, and on which are fixed two washers 62 and 63 the last of which acts as a support for a spring 64 compressed between it and the corresponding end of the tube 61. The end, inside the box, of the. rod 60 is constituted by a part 65 curved into a hook and engaged in one, 66, of the notches forming a kind of sawtooth rack and made in the face opposite to the numbered face of the strip 29, at inter valleys corresponding to those of the numbers.
These teeth have 'a single inclined plane rising in the. direction of the end of the. lamella bearing the smallest number. The tube 61. carries two journals 76 and 68, mounted in a forked part 69, and around which the tube 61 can rotate in its longitudinal plane perpendicular to the plane of the cover 2. A spring 70 pulls from the side of the cover 2 the ex end of the tube 61 adjoining the spring 64, which has the effect of pressing the end 65 of the rod 60 in a notch such as 66 of the strip 29.
A rod 71, mounted by one of its ends and rotatably, in a horizontal hole, made perpendicular to the strip 29 in a part 72, is bent twice over its length, so that its part 73 goes around the rod 60, and that its end 74 is. leaning against the. toothed face of the strip 29 by a spring 71 ', at a distance from the end 65 of the rod 60 equal to the pitch of the notches.
In fig. 5, we see a window 23 formed in the cover 2. Against the side face of the box 1 is fixed a lique metal part 78 provided with a cylindrical recess 79 whose bottom is traversed gently by a rod 80, provided a collar 81, one end of which carries a knurled knob 82 and the other end of which, of diameter smaller than the body of the rod 80, carries him wooden disc 83 which is fixed thereto by a terminal nut. This disc 83 is provided, on its turn face born on the side of the part 78, with a recess in which the periphery of the cylindrical recess is housed freely.
The face of this disk bordering on the. part 78 is provided with notches such as 84 and 84 ', made on a circumference coaxial with the. rod 80, at angular distances from each other corresponding to those of the numbers that the disc 83 carries at its periphery and visible through the window 23 according to the angular position of the disc 83, determined by the penetration of a semi-spherical lug 85 in one of the notches 84. The rotation of the disc 83 is effected as follows: The button 82 is pressed in the. direction of the axis of the rod 80, which, by compri mant a spring 86, axially displaces the disc 83 and releases the notch 84 .de the grip of the lug: - 8ï.
The disc is then rotated so. to, bring the chosen number to) next to the window and- where release the pressure exerted on button 8 2 . The spring 86 returns the disc 83 to its position shown at the end. 5, by the pressure it exerts on the collar let. 81 - of the rod 80. It is then another check mark due to the one shown in FIG. 5 which requires lug 85.
The. Operation (the blade 29 (fig. 3 and 4) is done as follows: To move the blade 29 in the direction of its increasing numbers, pull on the end 54 of the rod 60 in the direction arrow II. Therefore, the end 65 of the rod 60, engaged, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4, in a notch 66, advances the lamella 29 by one tooth on the side where the end 54.
A clicking noise is then heard produced by the fall of the end 74 of the part 71 into the notch previously occupied by the end of the rod 60, and where it is pushed by the spring 71 'acting on the piece 71. End 54 is linked; the. rod 60, and with it: its end 54, is pushed towards the interior of the box by the spring 64 which had. been compressed; its end 6.5 meeting the slope of the notch 66 causes the rod 60 to deflect into 60 'until this end 65 can fall back into the next notch, in which the res comes out 70.
The end 54 is pulled as many times as necessary to bring the desired number of the strip 29 under the window 4.
We proceed from the. same way to form the number of fifty and twenty by acting on the ends 55 and 56, respec tively. 58 and 57. The units are marked by acting on the pins 40 to 46, which moves the slats to which they are linked.
We deliver. these slats to zero by pushing the ankles 40 to. 46 in their starting positions. As for the slats corresponding to the levers 54 to. 56, 57 to 59 respectively, FIGS. 3 and. 4, relating to the lamella 29, allow. <follow the zeroing operations of this last.
The end 54 of the rod 60 is pushed into the eyelashes (the arrow III. Therefore, the rod 60 swings with the tube 61 around the journals 67 and -68, and the lower line of said rod comes in 60 "(fi b. 3) after having pushed the part 73 of the rod 71, in 73 ', which it encountered on its way, and that against the action of the spring 71'.
Therefore, the blade 29 no longer being retained either by the end 65 of the rod 60 or by the end 74 of the rod 71, yields to the traction exerted on it by the spring 75 which has been stretched for the preceding marking operation, and slides into the starting position at zero, shown in fig. 3, where it meets a stop pin. 87, the spring 75 being fixed, on the one hand, to a screw 76 and, on the other hand, to the blade 29 by a screw 77. The embodiment shown and described in the drawing is particularly intended for sets of cards.
In this case, the disks 19, 20, 25 and 26 indicate, for example, the putz, the .disques 18, 21., 21 and 27 the apples and the disks 1.7, 22, 23 and 28 the coelies.
The same constituent elements of this play positive can be combined as desired for other kinds of play.
