Description

Swiveling staircase housed in a wall niche. In particular in housing estates there is often a celebration. built-in stairs leading to the floor are dispensed with in order to use the available space as living space as possible. In order to get to the attic, ladders are usually used, which are attached to a lockable floor hatch.

It has already been proposed a Bo dentreppe, which is housed in a wall niche and is brought into use by pivoting around the foot of the stairs in the Ge. These and similar stairs are not so far. Much better than ordinary ladders as it is just as unsafe to climb them, which is why they are not used at all or only reluctantly by anxious and elderly people and are a danger for children.

The invention relates to a swivel face, housed in a wall niche staircase that is safe and safe to use. The staircase formed according to the invention is characterized in that it is arranged with the step side to the front in the wall niche, pivotable at its upper, longitudinally movable end, and can be extended at its foot of the stairs provided with rollers. The step side can preferably be equipped with two laterally hinged flaps which clad the stairs in the wall niche and serve as a railing in the position of use.

In a preferred embodiment, the two flaps are designed to be collapsible, the inner parts being able to be guided at their longitudinal edges by suitable means on transverse bars or rails of the stairs.

The bottom flap required for the stairs can be operated by hand with a simple design or also be executed in such a way. that it opens and closes automatically in a known manner by operating the stairs. In the case of the stairs according to the invention, this can be done in such a way that the top of the stairs is rolled through. running cables with. a bottom flap that can be swiveled in the manhole opposite the stairs is connected. The bottom flap is expediently leads out as a double flap, and the two individual flaps can be coupled to one another by hinged struts.

The flaps are also advantageously connected by one or more tension or compression springs, which act on the other flap from the pivot axis of the upper or lower flap and act as support when opening the bottom flap and act as a brake when closing.

The stairs designed according to the invention can be operated with one hand, which is of particular advantage when the other hand is not free.

The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawings using two exemplary embodiments.

Fig. 1 to 4 show a simple Ausfüh tion of the stairs with a separately to serve Nenden bottom flap. Fig. 1 shows the clad stairs in the wall niche in an oblique view.

Fig. 2 shows the stairs in the position of use in an oblique view.

Fig. 3 shows on a larger scale the upper part of the staircase located in the wall niche in a front view.

FIG. 4 is a side view taken along line A-B in FIG. 3.

Fig. 5 shows the side view of an improved execution of the stairs with a bottom flap actuated by the operation of the stairs, in a vertical section.

Fig. 6 shows a horizontal section through the stairs.

In the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the staircase 1 located in the wall recess protrudes with its upper end through a floor hatch and is mounted laterally in the guide rollers 2, which are verbun with the supports 3 fixed in the floor hatch. When the stairs are pivoted out, the guide rollers 2 slide in the guide rails 4 attached to the sides of the stairs in the longitudinal direction thereof. The slide slots formed by the guide rails 4 are closed at the top by the stop bracket 5, which form the supports for the pivoted staircase. The foot of the staircase slides on the floor when swiveled out by means of the rollers 6 that have been attached since.

On the long sides of the stairs, the flaps 7 are articulated, which cover the stairs pivoted into the wall niche and thus make them invisible. In the position of use of the stairs, the flaps 7 serve as a railing. The floor hatch carries the bottom flaps 8, which are opened before the swing-out ken of the stairs and after a pivot by means of the shutter 9 are closed. The bottom flaps 8 can, as can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3, be opened by pivoting downwards, since the stairs are located in the swiveled-in position as a result of being accommodated in the niche 11 outside of the space coated by the flaps 8. To make it easier to descend, the railing 10 is provided on the floor.

The flaps 7 of the stairs can be secured in the folded position, similar to window sashes.

The staircase shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 differs from that of the previous example in that the insertion rollers 3 are stored indirectly in the lateral guide slots 11 of the stairs, eliminating their own guide rails. As FIG. 6 shows, the side flaps used to cover the stairs and as railings are also designed to be collapsible. The outer halves 12 are connected by the hinges 13 to the inner halves 14, at the inner edges of which the articulated sleeves 15 are fastened, which are superimposed on the cross bars 16 ge.

If the flaps are opened by means of the handles 17, the halves 12 and 14 fold together like a bellows outward men, as shown in the dashed position until the sleeves 15 share on the sides of the stairs and the flaps abut against vertical support pressure self-locking in hold this position. This design of the flaps has the advantage that the open flaps take up less space and, as a railing, have a height sufficient to hold on and secure. The handles 18, which are used to extend and retract the stairs, are attached to the front end faces of the side parts of the stairs.

In Fig. 5, the retracted stairs and the closed bottom flap are drawn in solid lines and the extended stairs and the open bottom flap shown dashed lines. The bottom flap consists of the two superimposed flaps 19 and 20, which are coupled by means of the articulated be fastened struts 21 and are guided by approximately parallel when opening and closing. The double flap can be swiveled upwards in the access hatch opposite the stairs and is connected to the stairs by two identical cables arranged on the side.

The ropes 22 are led from the top of the stairs over the land on the two sides Ge 23 rollers 24 and 25 to the bottom flap. The cables are designed in such a way that the torque required for opening can be applied in any position of the bottom flap by even pulling the extending stairs. The two flaps are also connected by the tension spring 26 acting on the lower flap from the pivot axis of the upper flap, the traction of which supplies part of the torque, thereby relieving the stairs and making it easier to extend. When entering the stairs, the tensioning spring counteracts the torque exerted by the falling bottom flap and brakes the retraction of the stairs.

At the front end of the lower flap, the resilient end strip 27 is attached to prevent the extending stairs from getting stuck on the floor flap that is just rising.

The staircase designed and arranged according to the present description can be used not only as a staircase to the attic, but also as a staircase from the ground floor to the upper floor, for example from the hall, if space is limited.
