Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Umwandlung eines     Azofarb-          stoffes,    welches dadurch gekennzeichnet, ist,  dass man den durch saure Kupplung von 1     Mol          2-Diazobenzol-1-carbonsä.ure-5-sulfonsättre    mit  1     Mol    2     Amino-5-oxv        naphthalin-7-sulfonsäure     erhältlichen     Azofarbstoff    mit verdünnter Salz  säure kocht.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  46,7 Teile des aus     2-Diazobenzol-l-carbon-          säilre-5-sulfonsäure    durch saure Kupplung  auf     2-Ainino-5-oxvnaphthalin-7-sulfonsäure    er  hältlichen Farbstoffes werden in 500 Teilen  Wasser mit 30 Teilen konzentrierter Salz  säure 4 Stunden am     Rüekfluss    gekocht.
