Fire extinguishing system. The present invention is a fire release system, e.g. B. in the form of a fire-fighting vehicle. The invention consists in that a Verdiehter and devices are provided in which the gaseous Drtiekmeciium generated by the Verdiehter, e.g. B. Druekluft, can be used for fire fighting purposes.
With the pressure medium, a jet device is preferably operated, which is ruled out on the extinguishing water pump for the initial venting of the pump and its suction line. Such a jet device is, if it is operated, for example, with a pressure of 6 to 8 at of the Druekmediums, with regard to the achievable suction height wesent Lich more effective than the previously usual for the same purpose, by the exhaust gases of the vehicle engine operated jet devices, which also Have material part,
that they become prone to failure after a short period of operation due to the tar deposits in the exhaust gases.
Another device for the use of the print medium from z. B. in a pump operated by the Drnekmedinm, e.g. B. in the form of a jet device, which is closed to an extinguishing water delivery line, and water via an air separation room, preferably in a container z. B. promotes a fire engine or supports the promotion of a customary jet operated by water jet apparatus. This facility comes into play especially when the water level at the extraction point is so low that it no longer allows for a poor suction.
Furthermore, a device for atomizing the extinguishing water jet by means of the pressure medium can be provided in order to promote evaporation of the water by the heat of the fire to be extinguished. It is. known, instead of atomizing the water jet by means of a specially designed jet pipe through the pressure energy of the water alone. -However, it has only achieved relatively small throwing distances of the jet and cannot significantly improve this by increasing the water pressure.
A device can also be provided for leading the pressure medium into the pressure line of the extinguishing water pump, be it to reduce the flow resistance, be it to direct the pressure medium to the fire site, where it is separated from the water in a special separator can e.g. B. for ventilation of the fire site.
Measures can also be taken to use the pressure medium as a pressure medium for the atomization of special extinguishing agents, e.g. B. of foam, dry powder or carbon tetra to be able to use. For this purpose, a pressure line for the pressure medium z. B. connected to the space above the extinguishing agent of an extinguishing agent container.
Finally, it is advisable to no longer add chemicals that have to be added to the extinguishing water by sucking in as before, because this creates high pressure losses in the extinguishing water flow. For this purpose, measures can be taken by means of which the chemicals from lines for the pressure medium on closed storage tanks can be mixed with the extinguishing water flow under pressure by means of the pressure medium via outlet lines connected to the tanks, so that pressure losses thereof are avoided.
Finally, there are a number of other applications such. B. of compressed air as a pressure medium in fire fighting, so z. B. the ventilation of the fire, the supply of breathing equipment, the operation of work and signaling devices.
Depending on the type of application of the pressure medium supplied by the compressor, pressure reducing valves may be necessary.
In the accompanying drawings, an exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 shows schematically a fire fighting vehicle, Fig.2 part of the vehicle in connection with a device for the promotion of extinguishing water and Fig.3 a device for mixing from compressed air to the extinguishing water and a corresponding jet pipe.
In the vehicle according to FIG. 1, the motor 1 drives the rear axle 3 via the transmission 2 in the usual way. A known dissolving water pump 4 is driven from the front end of the motor shaft. There is also an air compressor 5, which also receives its drive from the engine 1. This compressor is designed, for example, as a conventional compressor with a reciprocating piston. But it can also be designed according to any other tried and tested method of construction. On the rear of the vehicle are a solvent water tank 6 and a tank 7 for special extinguishing agents, e.g.
B. Sehaumlöseh- means provided.
The dissolving water pump sucks through the line 8, which is branched into two lines 9, 10. Depending on the opening of one or the other bypass valve, the pump 4 takes the water either from the container 6, or it sucks water from any existing extraction point, for example a well 11. The pressure can be applied to the pressure port 12 of the pump in the usual way. unrelated to be connected.
The pressure line 13 of the air compressor 5 leads on the one hand to an air tank 14 and on the other hand to individual connection points 15, from which compressed air can be taken from the nender devices as required to drive various non-fire-releasing devices. A compressed air line 16 feeds a jet apparatus 17 with which the pump 4 and its suction line 8, 10 can be vented when they are started up.
To the compressed air tank 14, a white direct air line 18 is connected. This leads via a branch into the air space of the container 7, which is located above the solvent, and which is thus located under the or -. Spray necessary pressure is kept. The other branch 19 is used to connect additional devices.
According to FIG. 2, a pressure irrft line 20 is led from branch 19 to a jet pump 22 which is let down into the well 27 and which conveys water from the well through a line 2: 3 into the dissolving water tank 6. The air carried along in the water flow is separated in the container.
The conveyance of the jet device operated by Gien air jet could be supported in that a jet device operated by pressurized water is arranged below the compressed air jet device 22 on the conveying line 3 so that both jet devices act one after the other on the conveying flow.
The device for adding compressed air to the extinguishing water flow according to FIG. 3 has a container-like extension 24 of the extinguishing water line, into which the compressed air supply 25 is inserted from the side. The compressed air enters through three nozzles 26 arranged in a triangle in the flow direction of the extinguishing water in three Verrturi nozzles 27 arranged on the same axis as the nozzles, in which the air is mixed and finely distributed with the water torn into the Venturi channels 27.
The mixture of extinguishing water and compressed air passes through the hose line 28 to the jet pipe 29. In this, the mixture receives a twist through a screw guide 30 inserted into the pipe, which throws the water against the outer wall through the effect of centrifugal force, so that the Compressed air is separated inwards and is guided through a tube 31 inserted coaxially into the jet pipe into a space in front of the outlet opening of the jet nozzle 32. The compressed air emerging at this point in the direction of flow of the water serves to atomize the jet of extinguishing water.
It is of course also conceivable that the compressed air separated by centrifugal force is used for other purposes, e.g. B. is used to ventilate the fire site. This is advantageous because special hose lines are saved for the supply of compressed air when compressed air and water are conveyed together.
