Description

Schienenstossverbindung.

Rail joint connection. The problem of the rail joint is well known in the railway industry. The aim has always been to avoid or at least mitigate the bumps and knocks that occur when driving on such a rail joint. As is well known, these are based on the fact that the end of the rail due to the weight of the vehicle on it is lowered by the wheel pressure and so the wheel has to be raised by a corresponding amount when crossing the end of the next rail, whereby of course the new rail end is pressed down accordingly at the same time .

The present invention now aims to eliminate the disadvantages of the known rail butt connections. It relates to a rail butt joint, which is characterized in that the two abutting rail ends are connected not only by the side brackets but also by a spring assembly located below the rails, which has at least one pretensioned, resilient member pressed against the soles of both rail ends has, the abutment engages the two rail ends.

An embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing.

Fig. 1 shows such a Eisenbahnstossver connection seen from the side, partly in section.

FIG. 2 shows a cross-section along the line A-A of FIG. 1. According to FIG. 1, the end 1 of one rail rests in the usual manner on the sleeper 2 and the end 3 of the following rail correspondingly on the sleeper 4. Both rail ends 1 and 3 are connected to each other by the übli chen side tabs 5 and Laschenschrau 6 ben. In addition to these normal connecting elements, the rails are also connected to one another by a spring assembly located below the rail ends. This unit has a pretensioned compression spring 7, the lower end of which rests on the abutment and the upper end of which is pressed against the soles of both rail ends by the pretensioning pressure.

The abutment has a bracket 8 on which the spring 7 rests directly. The bracket 8 is provided at the ends with an eye 9, through which a support bolt 10 leads through. This support bolt is mounted in bores in the carrier 11, which are arranged on both sides of the rail and each end by means of a nose 12 grip one of the rails over the foot.

If the rail joint is driven in the direction of the arrow shown in Fig. 1 by a rail vehicle, the wheel pressure initially causes the usual lowering of the rail end 1. This lowering movement is transmitted, however, apart from the action of the tabs 5, by virtue of the spring 7 and their abutments on the following rail end 3. With suitable pretension. the spring 7 of z.

   B. 12 to 15 tons he therefore drives the rail end 3 an equal lowering movement under this load-bearing force, like the previous rail nenende 1, so that the occurrence of a height difference between the two rails ends is prevented.

A common spring plate can be inserted between the compression spring 7 and the feet of the rail ends 1 and 3.

Instead of a spring, another type of resilient organ can be used who the, z. B. a rubber buffer sufficient Stei strength and bias.

The spring assembly must be designed in such a way that it is not destroyed by the displacements of the rails caused by the thermal expansion in their longitudinal direction. B. the present, drawn example on the one hand by the resilience of the vertical legs of the bracket 8 and on the other hand is sufficient that a sliding of the lugs 12 on the Schie nenfüssen can take place. However, care must be taken that the resilient element is always symmetrical to both rail ends if possible.

The abutment can also be formed differently, for. B. in the form of a one-piece or more-part housing which is attached to each of the rail ends and the resilient member includes the side and bottom and is supported such that it is pressed against both rail ends with the desired tension force.
