Description

Die Differenz a.

Method of grinding the teeth of band saw blades. The invention relates to a method for grinding the teeth of band saw blades, in which the band saw blade to be ground re relative to a group of on a shaft at least approximately at the distance of the tooth pitch adjustable from each other arranged grinding wheels is moved periodically in the longitudinal direction and transverse direction so that the Sharpen the outer surfaces of the grinding wheels one after the other, the rising back and the vertically sloping chest of the teeth.

In the known method for grinding the teeth of band saw blades that work with a single relatively thin grinding disc, several operations are required because only a small chip can be taken away because of the heating that occurs. In the last pass, the disc is placed a short distance from each tooth face, because the burr that occurs when grinding the tooth face is bent in the direction of the band saw blade when sawing, where it is harmless .

With grinding wheels of greater thickness, which corresponds approximately to a large tooth pitch, only about two passes of the saw blade are required for sharpening and a third pass for honing; However, grinding with such disks has the disadvantage that the tooth following during grinding can eat into it.

To avoid these disadvantages, in the method according to the invention, the grinding wheels of the group work together in such a way that at least one of the preliminary grinding wheels of the group grinds the back and chest of the teeth, while at least the last of the subsequent grinding wheels of the group only grinds the back of the teeth grinds and thereby eliminates the degree of grinding between the cutting edge and the cutting edge produced by the preparatory grinding wheel when grinding the chest by keeping its distance from the previous grinding wheel in such a way that, after the back has been sanded, it extends over the tooth face and during the grinding of the tooth face runs empty through the preparatory grinding wheel.

In the following, the method according to the invention is illustrated by way of example with reference to the drawing: It relates to: FIG. 1 the method for grinding with two grinding wheels.

Fig. 2 and 3 show on an enlarged scale two phases of the grinding process.

Fig. 4 relates to a method for Schlei fen with three grinding wheels.

According to the more schematic presen- tation of Fig. 1 grind in a grinding wheel housing 3 parallel to each other in a manner not shown adjustable from each other, rotating grinding disks 1 and 2, the saw blade 4, which is in a guide 5 in not shown. Way is kept. The grinding wheels 1 and 2 sit on a shaft 6 which is driven by the motor of the band saw grinding machine, not shown.

The reworking, rear grinding wheel 2 is less thick than the vorarbei tend, front grinding wheel 1, namely about two thirds of the thickness of the grinding wheel 1.

In the subsequent second phase of the grinding process (Fig. 3) grinds the working, front grinding wheel 1, which has ground the chest 11 of the tooth 14, the back 16 of the following tooth 15. The reworking, rear grinding wheel 2 grinds the back 16 of the Tooth 14 and is in Fig. 3 just about to move the ridge 12 created when grinding the chest 11 of the tooth 14.

During the first phase of the grinding process (Fig. 4) the grinding disks are ben 1, 2 parallel to the tooth face 11 to the band saw blade 4 to be ground, which is held immovable bar in the guide 5 in not ge recorded manner, the front working, front grinding wheel 1, the tooth face 11 of the tooth 14 grinds with its outer surface and a grinding burr 12 it produces, while the reworking, rear grinding wheel 2 the tooth face 11 of the preceding tooth 13 already ground in the previous grinding step no longer. be touched and run empty.

If the grinding wheel 1 has been guided to the bottom of the tooth gap of the saw blade 4, the second phase of the grinding gear begins mim (Fig. 3): The grinding of the tooth back 16 through the parallel to them one side surfaces of the grinding wheels 1 and 2 To achieve a tooth back 16 corresponding rela tive movement between the saw band 4 and the grinding wheels 1, 2, the saw blade 4 is slowly moved in the guide 5 in an unsigned manner and the grinding wheels 1, 2 slowly withdrawn from the saw band 4 again.

Towards the end of this grinding process, the end face 10 of the reworking, rear grinding wheel 2 removes the grinding burr 12 that was previously created when grinding the tooth face 11.

As a result of the different strengths of the grinding wheels 1, 2, the rear side 8 of the reworking, rear grinding wheel 2 has reached the already finished tooth face 11 of the tooth 14 sooner than the rear side 7 of the preliminary, front grinding wheel 1 the still unpolished tooth face 11 of the tooth 15 and becomes on the finished grinded tooth face 11 of the tooth 14 out until the back 7 of the preparatory work the front grinding wheel 1, the still unge grinded tooth face 11 of the tooth 15 he has enough.

Now the already described first phase can start again and the grinding of the tooth face 11 of the tooth 15 through the preparatory, front grinding wheel 1, whereby the already finished tooth face 11 of the tooth 14 is not separated from the reworking, rear grinding wheel 2 that extends beyond it is touched more and this runs empty.

According to FIG. 4, three slip disks 1, 2, 17 are combined in one head. The front, preparatory grinding wheels 1 and 17 are designed the same and have the lead strength c, and the distance b of their two corresponding end faces is equal to the tooth pitch. The reworking, rear grinding wheel 2 is designed in the same way and arranged at the same distance from the previous wheel 1 as the wheel 2 according to FIGS. 1 to 3.

The rear faces 7, 8 of the grinding wheels 1, 2 have a smaller distance a from one another than that of the wheels 1 and 17, that is to say than the tooth pitch b. The difference a. - b corresponds to a third of the thickness c of the preparatory, front grinding wheel 1.

Wine so the front end faces 9 and 10 of the grinding wheels 1, 2 are set to the distance corresponding to the tooth pitch b (Fig. 4) ,, - then the distance a of the end faces 7, 8 voneinan is smaller than the tooth pitch b. It could be more than two. vorarbei tend, front grinding wheels are used, which are designed in the same way and are set in such a way that their front and rear faces each stand from each other by the tooth pitch of the saw blade to be ground.

When using several grinding wheels before working, the process is as described for two wheels.

What is achieved in the known sharpening machines with a grinding wheel in several passages, can be achieved in one operation with the new method for grinding the teeth of saw blades.

Since the reworking, last grinding wheel does not have to grind the toothbrushes, but only has to pull off the back of the tooth, the strength of this reworking, last grinding wheel can easily be reduced to about two thirds of the thickness of the other grinding wheel. This has the advantage that the load on the disks when working on the back of the teeth is the same and that the heating of the saw blade through all disks is even.
