Watch with dust cover. The present invention relates to a watch with a dust cover according to the claim of the main patent, and more specifically to a watch similar to that described with reference to FIG. 5 of the main patent, or a watch whose movement is supported axially by a stopper inside an elastic dust cover located between the movement and the case, and in which a circular ridge of the watch glass bears on the periphery of the upper face of the dial and by means of the latter axially supports the movement of the watch against said stop of the dust cover,
the watch glass and the dust cover having come from a single piece, a projection of which bears on the bottom of the watch case.
According to the present invention, an elastic metal ring, preferably of steel, is pressed into a cylindrical recess formed in said projection. The protrusion of the dust cover glass is then pressed with greater pressure on the back of the watch case. This arrangement facilitates obtaining a perfect isolation of the movement against dust.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the watch according to the invention.
The only figure is a partial diametral section.
In the drawing, 1 represents the middle part and 2 the bezel of a watch case, the bezel being held against the middle part. A notch device 3 makes it possible to retain the bottom 14 of the box. The watch glass and the dust cover are manufactured in one piece 18 which we will refer to as dust cover glass. A groove 19 provided in said dust cover glass allows the movement to be fixed by means of screws 20 with eccentric heads, only one of these screws which acts as a stop to support the movement axially being shown in the figure.
A bearing 8 of the watch movement 6 retains the latter laterally inside the dust cover glass 18, an edge 9 of which resiliently rests on the domed dial 10 so as to wedge the movement inside the cover glass. dust.
A split ring 24, made of elastic metal, preferably of steel, is pressed with greasy friction in a cylindrical recess 22 formed by a projection 21 which the dust cover glass 18 has in its lower part. This projection is urged radially outwardly by said ring 24. Thus supported, it bears resiliently against the bottom 14 with greater pressure than that which would come into play if the ring 24 had not been provided.
The insulation of the movement against dust is much better in the first case than in the second, especially since it is possible to obtain with the split ring 24 a substantially constant bearing pressure over the entire periphery, Said dust cover glass 18 on the bottom 14.
