Description
Beispiel :
5 Gew.-Teile Pepton werden in 500 Gew. Teilen destilliertem Wasser gelöst (Lösung a).
Process for the preparation of a new reaction product.
The present invention relates to a process for the production of a new reaction product, which is characterized in that gum arabic is allowed to react with peptone in an aqueous medium in the presence of at least one catalyst.
The end product obtained by this process is a hygroscopic pulverulent body which dissolves easily in water, is heat and cold resistant and is suitable for therapeutic purposes.
Both metal salts and acids can be used as the catalyst. As a metal salt, for example, aluminum chloride, c'admium chloride, manganese chloride, copper sulfate, cobalt nitrate, tin chloride, bismuth chloride, etc. can be used, while the acids such. B. hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, lactic acid, etc. can be used. You can also use the metal salt and the acid together.
The reaction is expediently carried out in an acidic aqueous medium. It can be assumed that hydrolysis of both the gum arabic and the peptone initially occurs, as can be seen on the basis of the appearance of free aldehyde or aldehyde. Can detect amino groups. In the further course of the reaction, this hydrolysis product should react with the still unchanged proportions of the starting materials via the active bulbs to form an end product which no longer contains any free aldehyde groups.
The method according to the invention can be carried out by first preparing aqueous solutions of the starting materials, namely a solution of gum arabic in distilled water and a solution of peptone in distilled water, combining the two solutions and carefully heating them to the boil, and finally a solution the catalyst, i.e. the metal salt and / or the acid, is gradually introduced into the boiling solution in small portions. The mixture is kept boiling until the hydrolysis has ended, which can be seen, for example, from the constancy of the amino nitrogen content of samples of the clear, filtered solution.
The reaction gemiseli is then freed from insoluble precipitates by filtration and evaporated to dryness in vacuo. In this way, a powdery, hygroscopic end product is obtained which is soluble in water to form a clear solution.
Example:
5 parts by weight of peptone are dissolved in 500 parts by weight of distilled water (solution a).
A solution of 2 parts by weight of gum arabic in 500 parts by weight of distilled water is prepared by heating (solution b). The two solutions are combined and gently heated to the boil.
A solution of 5-10 parts by weight of a metal salt (for example aluminum chloride, which aluminum chloride is used as the metal salt) is then gradually added in small portions.
