Process for the preparation of a new diazo-amine derivative The present patent relates to a process for the preparation of a new diazo-amine derivative, process characterized in that a diazo compound derived from the amino is con dense. -1-methoxy-2-nitro-4-benzene, in a non-acidic medium, with N-isopropyl-amino-2-chlo-ro-5-benzoic acid.
In the example which is given below, the parts by weight and the parts by volume are in the same ratio as the kilograms and the liters.
Example 16.8 parts by weight of amino-1-methoxy-2-nitro-4-benzene are impasted in 30 parts by volume of hydrochloric acid at 200 Bé and 50 parts of water for a few hours. Cooled to 00 C and added 50 parts by weight of ice. Diazotized with 14 parts by volume of 50% by volume sodium nitrite solution. We brew for an hour.
The diazo solution is poured into a solution maintained at 0o C and prepared from 26 parts by weight of N-isopropyl-amino-2-chloro-5-benzoic acid in 250 parts of water and 30 parts by weight. weight of sodium carbonate. The absorption of the diazo compound is instantaneous. As soon as the casting is complete, the mixture is basified with caustic soda at 350 Bé until very clear reaction on thiazol yellow paper and the diazo-amino derivative is precipitated with 50 parts by weight of ordinary salt. First pasty, the product gradually crystallizes.
The light yellow crystals are filtered, pressed and dried at moderate temperature. The yield is good.
The diazo-amine derivative obtained is in the form of crystals of brownish orange color. It is stable in the dry state and soluble in water. It can be used as a mixture with various couplers. Printing pastes, prepared with these mixtures in the usual way in the presence of a slight excess of soda, printed on cotton fabric for example and sprayed in a neutral medium. or acid, allow a wide variety of shades to be obtained.
With the arylides of fl-hydroxy-naphthoic acid, shades of bluish red to burgundy are thus obtained, with the arylides of hydroxy-carbazole-carboxylic or hydroxy-diphenyleneoxide-carboxylic acids, brown shades, with the arylides of l hydroxy - benzocarbazole - carboxylic acid, black shades.
