Description

  La     fig.    4 est une coupe transversale faite  suivant la ligne     V-IV    de la     fig.    1.    La chaudière représentée comporte une  chambre de combustion en tôle 1, avec une  jaquette 2 à circulation d'eau pour son refroi  dissement ; dans le cas où le combustible uti  lisé est du charbon, deux silos 3 sont prévus  de chaque côté avec des conduits inclinés 4  à travers lesquels le charbon peut     glisser    pour  pénétrer du silo 3 sur les grilles 5 ;

       celles-ci peuvent être constituées d'éléments 6 assem blés par des tiges 7 et portées par des tubes 8, convenablement refroidis; pour soulever le gâteau de mâchefer qui se forme sur la grille, on peut utiliser des crochets 9 calés sur un arbre commun 10 et dont les têtes 11 sont susceptibles d'émerger à travers les fentes pré vues entre deux éléments de grilles voisins.

       Dans la face postérieure 17 de la chambre de combustion 1 sont prévues deux fenêtres 18, disposées symétriquement par rapport au plan de symétrie longitudinal de la chaudière pour permettre l'échappement des gaz qui tra versent des conduits 19 convenablement refroi dis pour pénétrer dans les deux récupérateurs 20 semblables, accolés et symétriquement dis posés.

  Chacun de ces récupérateurs est constitué  par une série d'éléments semblables 21 agencés  de façon connue en soi, pour que les gaz  chauds arrivant par le conduit 19 pénètrent  dans chaque récupérateur par les fenêtres for  mant collecteur d'entrée 22 et ne puissent  s'échapper que par les fenêtres faisant collec  teur de sortie 23, après être descendus suivant  la flèche     f1,    être passés sous l'extrémité infé  rieure de la cloison séparatrice médiane 24  suivant la flèche     f2,    et être remontés de l'autre  côté de ladite cloison     séparatrice    24 suivant la  flèche     f;3   ;

  High calorific power boiler The invention relates to a high calorific power boiler, for example 500,000 cal./h. According to the invention, this boiler is characterized in that it comprises a combustion chamber made of sheet steel, cooled by a fluid circulation jacket, as well as at least one multiple element recuperator.

  The sheet steel allows strong temperature variations without deteriorating; these variations are especially considerable, if the boiler is regulated automatically by means of control acting by all or nothing as is often done for boilers in central heating installations.

   The multi-element recuperator (s) and the combustion chamber can be individually sized, as most convenient, while in multi-element boilers in current use, the ratio between the flue surfaces and that of the combustion chamber is fixed by the dimensions of the elements of which there are in practice only different standard sizes, so that if the dimensions of the combustion chamber are modified to take account of the nature of the fuel (for example fuel oil, small grains of anthracite or other), the surface of the flues is also unnecessarily modified, possibly to the detriment of efficiency.

      The recuperator (s) are preferably made of cast iron, in order to resist corrosion, which makes it possible to lower the outlet temperature of the combustion gases and consequently to increase the efficiency. The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the boiler according to the invention. Fig. 1 is a view partly in plan, partly in horizontal section taken along the line I-1 of FIG. 2.

  Fig. 2 is a view partly in elevation partly in cross section taken along the line 1I-11 of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a longitudinal section taken along the lines 11I-111 of FIGS. 1 and 2.

  Fig. 4 is a cross section taken along the line V-IV of FIG. 1. The boiler shown comprises a sheet metal combustion chamber 1, with a jacket 2 with water circulation for its cooling; in the case where the fuel used is coal, two silos 3 are provided on each side with inclined conduits 4 through which the coal can slide to enter from the silo 3 on the grids 5;

       these can be made up of elements 6 assembled by rods 7 and carried by tubes 8, suitably cooled ; to lift the clinker cake which forms on the grid, it is possible to use hooks 9 wedged on a common shaft 10 and whose heads 11 are capable of emerging through the slots provided between two neighboring grid elements.

  Doors 12, 13 and 14, respectively for removing the clinker, for controlling the axis 10 of the levers 9 acting on the clinker, and for access to the ashtray, can be provided in the front face 35 of the bottom. Boiler.

  Traps 15 and 16 can be arranged as a manhole and are located at the top of each hopper 3 to allow loading.

       In the rear face 17 of the combustion chamber 1 are provided two windows 18, arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the boiler to allow the escape of gases which pass through ducts 19 suitably cooled to enter the two 20 similar recuperators, contiguous and symmetrically arranged.

  Each of these recuperators is made up of a series of similar elements 21 arranged in a manner known per se, so that the hot gases arriving through the duct 19 enter each recuperator through the windows for mant inlet collector 22 and cannot escape. escape only through the windows forming the outlet manifold 23, after having descended according to the arrow f1, having passed under the lower end of the median dividing wall 24 following the arrow f2, and being reassembled on the other side of said partition separator 24 following arrow f; 3 ;

   partition primers 25 and 26 gui dent hot gases both in their descent along arrow f1, as in their ascent following arrow f 3; they can finally escape at the outer end of each recuperator, following the arrow f4, to enter the smoke reader neck 27 and pass through the smoke outlet 28 connected to the chimney.

  Buffers 29 can be used for cleaning the recuperator elements which are joined together by fittings 30. The primary air is blown under the grille 5 and the secondary air arrives through the two tubes 31, removable plates 32 being able to be provided in the facade 35 to facilitate their change.

  The water arrives at the lower part through the duct 33 and enters the jacket 2 of the combustion chamber 1 through the ducts 34, and into the channels 36 and 37, made between two adjacent recuperator elements, through the duct 38. ; after having been reheated in the recuperators, the water passes from their upper part, through the channels 39, into the upper part 40 of the jacket 2, from where it escapes through the outlet orifices 41.

  When such a boiler is to be used with liquid or gaseous fuel, it is of course possible to omit the grid 5 as well as all the elements for breaking up the clinker cake. and placing the corresponding burners in the combustion chamber, the useful space of which is thus considerably increased.

  It will be understood that such a boiler is easy to construct since the combustion chamber, of large dimensions, is made of sheet metal, while the recuperator elements, whose dimensions are normal, are alone made of cast iron; its installation and use do not present any difficulty due to the fact that its size is relatively very small and that there is every possibility of placing the recuperators in the most suitable place, at the same level or at a different level of that of the combustion chamber, juxtaposed or not to the latter and, in the first case, on one of its faces or on both faces.
