Description

Method for storing silage forage in heaps The invention relates to a method for storing silage forage in heaps.

It has already been proposed when storing silage forage to cover the pile of silage forage with a flexible, airtight material and to apply earth to it in order to achieve a seal that prevents air from entering the forage from outside.

In this way one does not generally get a favorable result because the covered green fodder mass attracts air through all sorts of circumstances, which cause a negative pressure in the mass, while in addition condensation phenomena occur in the green fodder adjacent to the cover material, which causes rottenness of this layer , promote.

Especially if you make piles on the ground or in shallow hollows, but in the latter case the piles protrude at least half the height above the ground, the conditions for sealing the silage pile are so unfavorable that a single sight made of flexible, airtight material, like plastic, not enough. In practice, however, there is a need to build such piles on the ground or in shallow hollows.

It has now been found that the aforementioned difficulties can be overcome if, according to the present invention, the conditions for pure lactic acid fermentation are created in your feed, which preserves the feed properly by adding the feed before storage is shredded into a mass that sinks less than 20% at La, then piles up and is covered with sheets of flexible, impermeable material on which a layer of cover material is applied.

Any food that can be chewed up economically and that does not sink by more than 20% in this state is suitable for this process. These requirements meet z. B. not to vorgetrock netes grass.

Decisaling to a mass that sinks less than 20! A is. tied to two prerequisites, which on the one hand concern the crude fiber content and on the other hand the moisture content of the raw material, namely in the sense that raw feed with a high crude fiber fold and low moisture content cannot be converted economically into a little sinking mass.

In general, have underground growing plant parts - in which reserve materials are accumulated - such. B. tubers, beets and onions, a lower crude fiber content than above-ground growing parts of the plant, which the latter must have a certain rigidity in order to be stable, including mostly tissues that fall under the designation crude fibers. The foliage of bulbs, beets and onions is usually rich in juice, so that products such as beet heads, potatoes, onions with or without foliage and kohlrabis can be used to carry out the process.

However, if you grass with the addition of z. B. squeezes stubble bulbs and brings these products together under the influence of a squeezing tool, then the tubers are completely shredded, and the tuber sehnitzel then fill the ranks in the squeezed grass mass, so that you can with grass in many cases can still get a mass that sinks by less than 20%.

However, if you do pile on the ground, or pile that protrude at least halfway above the ground, a cover with earth on the plastic cover is practically no longer executable. This has to do with the fact that to cover the steep sides of the pile with. Earth a layer of earth with a broad base is required, which requires a lot of material and labor.

It has been found, however, that a relatively light layer of plaster made of z. B. apply manure or clay or from grass plumes and so can cover the steep edges without much material. Such a slight covering does not press much moisture. ans of the mass and causes only a slight sinking of the (turkey feed mass.

Example Grass is squeezed immediately after you mow. It is passed through the Quetsehinae together with 30% stubble (calculated on the weight of the grass). Then the conditions for pure lactic acid fermentation are created. A small amount of an acidic liquid, e.g. B. 10 liters of normal acid per ton.

The goods treated in this way are stored in flat tunnels on the ground and tamped by a horse or pressed together with the help of a treeker. The heap is then covered with plastic sheeting, which is plastered with a thin layer of clay with manure.

The proposed method is also suitable for making tradable ensiling, which - after they have been stored for a few months - are sold to other companies and stored there.
